Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Buffalo716 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Long day I forgot about that original point And regardless on if there would be more events at the new stadium or not... And if they got first dibs at a ticket PSL is certainly part of every single new stadium now Whether it's Los Angeles or Buffalo... Point of the psls was for owners to recoup money at the end of the day... I don't think they care if the fan gets more chances or not to another event Every new stadium will have psls because the owner wants to get some of his money back -

The Buffalo Bills spent years researching The stadium project They researched if having a convention center or a multi-purpose venue was financially worth it All of their research showed it was not... NYS certainly would have done it if they could have made more money And that a standalone football stadium was the best option -
Barton will be a NFL center for sure He might get a groomed year at guard to get acclimated.. but his athleticism and football IQ certainly will bring him to center
-
Yeah I mean I used to watch a ton of college basketball and be really plugged in Now I'm basically plugged in with Syracuse and the ACC.. and I watch some Big 12 basketball

The hype train on Marvin Harrison Jr is officially out of control and it's been that way He certainly is not one of top 3 receivers I have scouted in the last 20 years Super talented, absolutely not in my top 3 People complain about diggs being a diva... This guy has done nothing as a pro and is already a diva Other grown men don't like a diva who has never done anything in the league

Kid should have to redshirt This is super unethical and the reason why nil will not last that long... The open door transfer portal will also 100% be ironed out in the next few years Schools which also commit a lot of money and resources to their student athletes will not accept no faith You should not be able to transfer twice in a matter of months and take a school's money This is certainly why it is going to not last long He should be mandatory red shirted
-
He wasn't the best at pass blocking last year either... He's a tremendous athlete and run blocker but he gets shaky in pass protection occasionally Honestly more than Morse I think he's a good center but he's certainly is not this first ballot Hall of famer that we screwed the pooch on He's not Nick Mangold

To be fair AT&t stadium only has four concerts booked through the end of the year right now A few rodeos a few boxing matches and a bunch of soccer matches Soccer has zero appeal in Buffalo basically.. neither does the rodeo So they have four concerts and a few boxing That's not mega cool huge events happening all the time to be fair... Like nobody cares about a rodeo in Buffalo And every single stadium study showed it does nothing for the local economy big picture -
They really beat that ***** up

I mean if he completely blows Martin out of the water I'm sure they will keep him But all NFL players know camp bodies is a real thing... Not everybody can make the roster... The bills will bring in an undrafted quarterback to throw balls to wide receivers for repetition too And he's not going to make the team either... But if you're a good teammate and a hard worker, with a little bit of talent.. word will get out to other teams and you'll get a call
-
There's about five or six teams that have kept a kickoff specialist in recent years even if for short stints ... The Patriots had two kickers active versus US 2 seasons ago No team keeps a holding specialist They are not even comparable Because you need extra legs throughout mini camp and training camp sometimes An NFL punter only has x amount of good punts in his leg every year... So somebody else punting or kicking off still helps returners and keeps a leg fresher A boxer can't fight 20 times in a year... You can overextend kicking leg so you at least want somebody in MC or TC usually so returners can get practice Even if it's a udfa punter so your returners gets more reps

The mental aspect of being a center is extremely tough as you know Being able to read and evaluate the front every play and get the right protections in place takes high football IQ Which is why the best centers were always extremely tough athletic and smart as hell It's the perfect combination
-
You certainly don't want a turnstile as a center You can certainly put the wrong guy back there... But yes there's not a lot of pure 0T who are just lined up across from the center all day and just give them hell anymore Graham Barton from Duke was a 3-year left tackle... Who had like four starts at center as a freshman... But he has been groomed as a college left tackle his whole career But he's honestly one of my favorite if not my favorite center prospect in the draft I love getting that tackle athleticism and bringing him back to center
-
Let's get this straight No line position in the NFL is easy to play... When I say physically the easiest... I mean there are more lineman in the NFL who can play center then tackle... And there are more people that can play center than guard... There are a lot of college/nfl guards and tackles that can physically play center... There are less college/nfl centers that could also play guard and tackle A left tackle has to be 6'5 320 and move like a basketball forward.. physically very tough... The modern NFL is now putting the best speed rushers over the right tackle So he also has to be very athletic and big... Jason Kelce is a Hall of Fame center but he is physically not even big enough to play guard.. those guys are 320 lb... He's 280 It's the least physically imposing position... But you have to be the smartest Again none of this means a center is weak or not athletic... There's just more NFL quality lineman who can physically play center than other positions
-
Well like the guy above me said Centers including Jason Kelce admit its physically the easiest They have the highest percentage of double team blocks and the lowest percentage of one-on-one blocks Most centers are doing combination blocks with a guard not taking a nose tackle one on one That might only happen a few snaps a game They are usually combination blocking and moving up to the second level or anchoring and helping a guard in pass protection
-
Yes which is why I'm always leery about taking center in the first round... Even if a lot of good centers go late first Because there are a plethora of offensive lineman with center experience, who just wound up at guard or tackle in college... But with a little bit of grooming can naturally slide back to the center position.. It's always been physically the easiest to play... You need to find somebody who has it upstairs
-
A lot of people don't realize that center is physically the easiest to play There are a lot of linemen that are physically able to play the position... It's mentally challenging So you need to have the a high football IQ to be successful.. but lineman are usually also some of the smartest people on the team There are so many options to develop an NFL center... Including taking college tackles who aren't athletic enough to play NFL... There are a lot of options and it's a position that gets groomed
-
Literally the late 20s has always been the sweet spot for center's off the board in rd 1 But there's probably going to be more impactful players left

I think he's basically saying he doesn't want his kid going to a cold weather City because he knows he's limited And as I've said 10,000 times situation is everything in the NFL... The coaches, the system the other players around you and the city all help make or break you Sanders has tons of issues as an NFL quarterback even though he will get drafted high because of his name... He's already padding stats at Colorado But I would give him a 5% chance of succeeding in a place like Chicago or Green Bay I don't think he will be a successful NFL quarterback but Deion is right when he's looking to the Future for his kid... He can run but he doesn't like to... And he holds the ball That's a recipe to getting beat up in the league.. I would never touch him in the first round

20 was the magic number when the Big East was the Big East typically When there was Syracuse and Pittsburgh and Louisville... With UConn and Georgetown and Villanova and St John's and Marquette, Notre Dame Schools like Seton hall were afterthoughts tho talented The ACC 5 years ago was considered the most dominant basketball conference and is now also fell off...

Lol what MVS ran a 4.37 verified ! At over 6'3 lol Speed is far from the only thing that makes Tyreek Hill a Hall of famer... And Hollywood browns speed and skill is not even close to cheetahs None of the corners on our team will have a problem with Hollywood with 10 other guys around them

I think at this point he's way quicker than pure blazing speed He looked fast on his punt return TD but it didn't translate to offense much so it's a wash... I'm sure he can still blaze a fast 40 time... But on a condensed field you need to know how to use your speed... I think he struggled there
