  1. Your life must be so special that you have to go back just to quote this Almost every scout alive had a fifth round grade on him, some better, I had a mid 4 There's not a massive difference between a priority undrafted free agent and a fifth round pick on draft grades . . Especially when 20 running backs get drafted and 30 have draftable grades It was a weak draft with a lot of mid round running backs so they got pushed down the board.. you act like I said the kid was a top 30 talent How come nobody quoted me back a few years ago when everybody said that tyree Jackson was going in the 4-6 and I guarantee that he was going undrafted Nobody seemed to want to quote me back to say I was right. Scouts put second-third round grades on guys that go ubdrafted.. A lot of players with draftable grades went undrafted this last week.. that happens in the NFL draft.. especially at RB and WR It's why 30% of the league is undrafted free agents.. talent falls
  2. @nedboy7 I don't think you realize I've been talking to Royale for years and years and years lol like since the old bbmb I'm yanking his chain
  3. His short area elusiveness is absolutely elite . He makes players fall over in a phone booth But playing a position now where there's maybe 30 draftable players. But only 20 some get drafted Leaves a lot of room There's not a huge difference between the grades of a fifth round running back and a priority undrafted one... Scheme fit and measurables And the lack of other quality positions pushed running backs down the board
  4. Yea , feliciano, darryl Williams, morse, john brown, Beasley, Isiah Mckenzie, jordan Phillips All guys that a pro personnel guy would be watching are all bums
  5. It's similar because Edmunds gets a lot of criticism and he's not a whipping boy He's a young solid football player, who's inconsistent.. and the space he takes up in zone coverage is massive to McDermotts scheme Even if he's not the greatest in man-to-man coverage
  6. No, my only point is that what fans think about a player is irrelevant A lot of fans think good players are not good, and vice versa I think Tremaine had a down year, but he came on strong towards the end of the year, and it be ludicrous to write him off He is a force in the middle of our defense, quarterbacks avoid throwing over him in our zone defense and he does make passing Lanes disappear
  7. No because people here don't coach or scout Stephon Gilmore got railroaded here and at the other bills board for years.. calling him burnt toast and overrated I had the complete opposite view and called him our most complete defensive player and a future All pro.. guess what he is And most the fans were wrong.. While some knew he was super underrated
  8. Pitt has obviously fell a long way from the 70s and early 80s But it's still a major division one football program. That knows how to get players in the league It's tough to take that step from a 7 and 7 program to an 11 and 3 program
  9. Pennsylvania is a high school football hotbed And they put out some elite talent every couple years Fitzgerald, Donald, revis , shady ... Then you get tyler boyd , then just a whole bunch of backups and fringe starters But it's always been a solid program
  10. A 4.51 is not below average speed He's solidly average for an NFL running back speed
  11. James is coming back for his senior season at UB And I've stood next to Patterson , he's not 5'9 He's 5'6 but absolutely stout 5'6 195 lbs is pretty stout. It's short but not small And he has good quickness. He's a 4.5 guy with really good short area agility Again if he was 5 ft 10 he absolutely gets drafted. Being 5'6 hurts in the draft process
  12. There's still just more good football players than draft positions , and having prerequisite size still matters Being 5'6 absolutely pushes him down boards.. if he was 5'10 he would have been drafted 100% It doesn't matter because there are tons of undrafted running backs that make it
  13. 5'6 is still a scary size for people It's ok 30% of the league is UDFA.. cream rises
  14. Oshae played on the perimeter at SU plenty taking 4 3 pointers a game He also got to play nba isolation If there is one thing Jim does , he lets his players run an nba iso offense Osahe , Tyus, Griffin got to play tons of nba style ball. Oshae just wasn't consistent enough to get drafted It wasn't his talent, it was consistency... And when you're the best rebounder on the team , every college team will have you on the block a good amount
  15. They will be drafting another quarterback in 5 years lol The bears will ruin him
  16. We only lost three last year in the regular season so winning three more would make us perfect there lol
  17. I never dismissed him I said he was a talented kid who I thought was limited so I had a priority undrafted free agent grade on him Which is not knocking the kid Over 30% of the league is undrafted free agents
  18. You must be so happy that you had to come back just to quote me lol He was a fifth round pick whoop-dee-doo.. By the way a lot of fifth rounders grades and undrafted free agent grades are pretty dang close
  19. Went wayyy higher than I expected but speed kills I thought somebody might take a flyer in the third or fourth but with a thin draft playmakers are wanted
  20. True. My connectors we're obviously not firing on all cylinders 🤣
  21. C'mon man In 1964 gary Philbin went round 3 pick 5 🤣🙃
  22. Ask the chick it whiplashed I already said that dude!
