  1. They Absolutely would If a CB was ever beat bad he would just tackle the wide receiver... Better to lose 15 yards and save a touchdown I And college corners tackle wide receivers to take a penalty and save a touchdown Happens a fairly good amount Cuz it's only 15 yards
  2. Do you know how hard it is to get a running back of this caliber? Hall of Fame backs just don't grow on trees
  3. He's not a guard He's playing a tackle position if he starts , probably RT unless they have plans of flipping Dawkins there
  4. Got a great pie for a long time!
  5. he missed 15 tackles last year, while playing banged up Definitely not a good number.. but not enough to really skew that number that we just talked about And some of those missed tackles were on passes So let's say 10 missed run tackles out of 90+ tackles It might move the needle a bit but not that much.. seeing as the tackle is probably cleaned up two yards later by Milano or Hyde / poyer I don't think the stat means much But it means that he sticks the running around the line of scrimmage a lot
  6. 2.6 average depth of tackle As a whole our team was 4.3 yards per carry... That includes tackles by safeties and cornerbacks The statistic means every time Milano and Tremaine tackled somebody on a run play... The average was 2.6 Now that Doesn't account for run plays where he didn't make the tackle... But when he does get a read.. he reacts pretty quick to run
  7. All sorts of evaluators and scouts have wild takes and opinions He's been a former NFL scout so I was just using it as an example for differing opinions Even from people with credentials
  8. Before tua got hurt.. there was tank for tua Even while Joe was balling.. Former NFL scout Bucky Brooks still called tua the most talented quarterback in the class The Bengals still went to his pro day so they obviously were still doing due diligence.. if it was Burrow 100% they wouldn't even go After the injury 100% I agree, It was Joe.. but tua was a first round quarterback before the season .. before Joe's 5th season in college... he was a fifth , sixth round pick also a lot of risk in a guy who shoots up the board that much
  9. He might not have a howitzer But his arm certainly passes the threshold for NFL quarterbacks.. he pushed the ball downfield his entire career at Alabama If you had a weak weak arm you can't push the ball down field in the SEC His hip injury which was almost a career ender certainly changed the trajectory of his career... And effected his arm strength
  10. I think that you obviously need to scout quarterbacks with a grain of salt that are at those schools But it doesn't mean that successful quarterbacks can't come from them In fact I've watched every snap of Tua and Mac.. and I honestly think Tua is the more talented quarterback He just might not have the physicality to withstand the rigors of the game Before his hip injury he was probably going over burrow ... That really changed the course of his career
  11. Agree with basically everything But Tremaine statistically stops the run better than the pass .. his length makes him hard to throw over but his awareness is still not the greatest The last two years his average tackle depth on run plays is 1.9 yards and 2.7 Ahead of roquan Smith and others He may not be a top five linebacker but he solidly in the top 10 for inside backers 2019 his average tackle depth on run plays was 1.9 yd... 2.7 last year Both ahead of roquan Smith He plays his correct Gap most of the time.. his run stuffing over 4 years has actually been more consistent than his coverage He just doesn't blow people up like Ray Lewis
  12. Yea whoops my bad .. idk why I typed Saban I know it was Meyer Who also won national championships with a running QB in Tebow It was a brain fart Most successful college programs don't need a top QB with NFL upside... They need someone to run their offense and not make mistakes And somebody who could run give you more options in college than someone who will sit in the pocket with limited mobility First 2 progressions and run works better in college than going through 5 progressions in the pocket
  13. Yeah I wouldn't say he was great, but he fought hard He was left 1 on 1 with Payne alot
  14. The difference is that the Steelers are extremely well coached.. and their interior defensive line doesn't break their gap Cameron Hayward stayed home all day and it just ruined Josh You can get interior pressure on Josh and play erratic and he will break contain... Staying in your Gap is the key to containing him The line was shifted to Jonathan Allen Which left Ford one-on-one with Payne.. and he fought hard all day
  15. Was a brilliant plan, executed to perfection Chase young was perfectly fine with rushing around the edge all day... Going around the hump so to speak Williams and Allen were perfectly in sync.. setting up the depth of drops... Which allowed Allen to step up through the wide speed rush.. and roll right which is where he's at his best This was all by design and perfectly executed The perfect way to neutralize a pass rusher.. is to take him out of the game instantly... Play to Allens strength which is his stature in the pocket and ability to move through it Williams was giving the wide speed rush.. knowing Allen has the presence and stature to feel it now.. which he did And it completely demoralized and took young out of the game.. because he knew he couldn't touch Allen But having young scouted.. knowing that he will take the cheese.. all day.. is a testament to the offensive line coach and how prepared they were
  16. That's why I said historically, and it's not set in stone Saban would much rather have a five-star offensive lineman or defensive lineman than a five-star quarterback historically
  17. Dabo actively does try to recruit QBs with NFL futures .. he was all over Watson and Lawrence who were top recruits and NFL prospects He doesn't want just runners Historically Ohio State goes for runners, and Saban never cared if his quarterback had a bright NFL future... It was scheme scheme scheme Saban didn't used to recruit 5* QBs... Now he does because he realized he can't win with another Jake Coker or McElroy
  18. Ruined can just mean subject to frustration There's absolutely a lot of frustrated people People try to turn this into a vax versus unvaxed argument.. it's not my argument There are a lot of bills fans, who no longer get to see their passion... It is the biggest thing in Buffalo by far Families grow up around it.. I do feel for those people Getting your money back for season tickets is not the same as seeing your favorite thing.. I feel for that Because the bills are a huge part of the community.. vaccination status withstanding And If you've been going to games for 40 years.. it's a big part of your life
  19. I'm gonna have to watch more snaps to get an accurate assessment He definitely can improve his stock this season but I think top 10 is out of question
  20. Yeah but there was unvaccinated people at the game yesterday They just used their cousin or brother's card .. I know it happened And If you were a season ticket holder for 25 years , and you can't go to the games because you're unvaccinated.. pretty sure your football year is ruined.. if you didn't decide to break the rules If the goal was to make everybody be vaccinated they should probably check it's the right people Or the mandate is weak
  21. A lot of people's seasons got ruined a couple weeks ago because of poorly executed planning I just can't say that everything went fine and everybody followed everything to a tee Even yesterday, because everybody knows that's not the case They wanted vaccinated people in the stadium.. and then didn't even check to see if it was the right people
  22. Absolutely Quarterbacking is an independent thing Most schools like Alabama or Ohio State just don't choose quarterbacks with big time NFL futures, cuz it's abut winning in college It doesn't mean that those type of quarterbacks can't land at that program
  23. I'm pretty sure the bills were the one that made the mandate The bills and Erie county made a joint statement.. but something tells me Erie county didn't push anything Cuz Erie county's open with outdoor venue's
