MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are
Buffalo716 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I take you don't watch a lot of NFL games. Because I see throws like that every week by pretty much every single quarterback But only allen does it get talked about after a 33 of 46 game -
Youse ready for part deuce?
Buffalo716 replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I did. Lots of dejected people already throwing in the season. There's a lot of people saying Allen is a bad quarterback on a really good team And then there's a few smart Jets fans who are saying if darnold put up the numbers Allen did today they'd be anointing him the second coming of Joe Namath Jock -
How not to protect your blue chip franchise QB
Buffalo716 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Davis culley was a D1 QB and knows plenty about the qb position. just because he spent the majority of his career as a wide receiver coach doesn't mean he knows nothing about the position -
So Darnold was seeing Casper again

People act like 300 yards is a sb lmao It means zilch . Josh runs for so much it obviously takes away passes during games I want wins not 300 yard games -
Taking a guard in the first round is not a bad idea if he's a stud and you need one Flipping your tackle prospect to guard after one season is insane. I watched every snap of Cody Ford's career at Oklahoma. He was talked about being a first round pick because of his tackle play.. his guard play didn't even warrant a top three round pick in all honest He shot up boards because of his athletic play at tackle If he shows he can't do it in the NFL, then make the full transition to guard.. but he absolutely deserves a few seasons of grooming at tackle

Go irish! Gotta love the golden domers

That is if you take the past into account, and you don't take into account Ford's possible improvement It's totally possible he made great strides over the last eight months. Of course the Best 5 should play
-
He all prod in 2017 his third year in the league. In 2015 and 2016 he was your typical up and down offensive lineman He was given time to learn and grow. People want to cut off Cody's development after one season. It takes years to develop an NFL tackle

Williams has struggled at right tackle in his career his first couple seasons. And Ford had some good games last year All players just need reps. I just wouldn't guarantee a transition to guard for Ford because we have Williams Let the oline line gel things out for a bit and then reassess
-
Ford is a better prospect than Williams coming out in my opinion. He has 5 years of experience on Ford which helps a lot Ford is a freak athlete at his size, and absolutely has foot quickness to play tackle. Like everything with growing pains, you just need reps and patience His tackle play at Oklahoma was much better than his guard play
-
I think they're going to do some platooning I still can't see them giving Cody Ford zero tackle reps. It would be pretty stupid to give up on a tackle prospect with that size and athleticism that quick. You could literally find a guard in any round and anywhere in free agency Tackles are a lot harder to develop and find

Adam Gase on playing the Bills defense: “It’s chaotic”
Buffalo716 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is absolutely the worst matchup for the Jets week one. They have a new line, and some new weapons, with limited time to gel We have a fast defense, going into year four of McDermott and Frazier. The continuity, the way they disguise pre-play, and the way all 11 hats fly to the ball, in my opinion will be overwhelming to the Jets on Sunday Gase is probably not sleeping well this week -
That POS Henry Anderson returns
Buffalo716 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of the dirtiest players in the NFL. I honestly wouldnt blink an eye if he got hit by a semi truck -
Was he? Pretty sure it was Vernon Butler

The pass rush wasn't as abysmal as many thought last year McDermott pass Rush scheme is about the whole unit not one guy. The bills finished 12th in sacks one behind super bowl champs Kansas City They weren't elite but they were far from poor. McDermott is great at manufacturing pressure via his packages He just dials them up selectively -
What does he feel like. Not funny
