Spotrac has Levi Wallace valued @ $9M/yr. Thoughts?
Buffalo716 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
To his defense Levi absolutely improved his man coverage this year I think he's squarely a top 40 corner in the league I wouldn't pay him 9 mil but he vastly improved his ability to mirror guys in man coverage.. he is 10x better than a few years ago -
Yeah but you were probably talking to numbers people Ask The individual franchisee owner if he thinks they're in a data company or a pizza business.. I bet he wants to sell food

Mac Jones "lights" up the skills contest
Buffalo716 replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Allen missed the nets at the Senior bowl.. And that's why you don't throw to non moving nets in the NFL 🤣 -
Not gonna lie I have a friend who owns a pizzeria in the city And if he had to chose Any chain he would go pizza hut all day... His words

Bills 2021 rookie class ranked 27th in league
Buffalo716 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can't rank a rookie class after 1 season Amateurs Every football coach knows that football players don't come equally.. some come in basically maxed out but ready to compete And some take a few years of seasoning then really turn it on The biggest weakness of our scouting department during the drought era was projecting players to the NFL It's not about who's the better football player day one.. it's about who's the better football player year 3.. the bills really struggled at that for a long time Our scouts have really turned the page on that -
Yep exactly Cam's issue is not his running ability.. it's he has a dead arm Physically Josh is built like Tim Tebow.. who was also a powerful runner in the NFL .. he just couldn't throw a football Josh can run like Tim Tebow and throw a football like John elway.. I've been saying it for 2 years he is the most dynamic player in the league and basically there isn't a game plan to stop him yet
-
That's not all true because there's never been a quarterback like Josh None of these running quarterbacks could throw like Josh or were physically built like him Both of those give him the advantage.. he's much much bigger then Michael Vick or Randall Cunningham or RG3.. he's a much better thrower of the football too You bring up running backs.. the cliff for running backs is usually considered 2,000 carries... That's when they fall off Josh is at 400.. he literally has 15 years before he would ever even get close to hitting that number Sure Josh is a good runner so he does run .. he doesn't run as much as running backs.. and he's not taking as much as a beating Besides the league has never seen a player like Josh Allen.. he will be the mold that other teams are looking for

Thurman Thomas was far faster than I thought he was...
Buffalo716 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he is a better receiver than BOTH those Nothing against them .. but they are more short route specialists Thurman would run routes 25 yards downfield and catch it over his shoulder laying out He is one of a kind -
Thurman Thomas was far faster than I thought he was...
Buffalo716 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thurman Thomas's don't grow on trees He's literally one of the most complete backs in NFL history.. easily top five in that category and one of the best ever They come out once every 20 years -
They are pundits .. And even the ones who didn't like him still thought he was first round caliber ,they just didn't like him over the other guys The browns seriously considered drafting him first , the bills did make the move ... The Cardinals wanted too Every player in the draft is a risk, nothing is sure at the end of the day People here said Allen had accuracy issues too, even after taking us to the playoffs .. when it's clear there's a difference between accuracy issues and inconsistencies EJ Manuel is inaccurate.. Josh Allen was inconsistent Josh makes throws that an inaccurate quarterback couldn't make in his sleep
-
Andy reid never played quarterback.. he was always an offensive line coach , until he got the chance to coach Brett favre and be his quarterback coach for 2 years Gets Donovan McNabb and he's suddenly a quarterback guru But he never played or coached it until he got the chance
-
Accuracy/precision and completion percentage is not the same College football's all time completion percentage leaders are loaded with guys who did Jack in the NFL Dan Marino is a 58% passer he must suck too Josh's inconsistencies which is different than being inaccurate.. were more to do with his poor lower body mechanics and he's a very coachable person Kiper Jr said it best when he said stats are for losers when talking about Josh... Eye test is all you need

Dorsey ran a lot of 12 personnel packages
Buffalo716 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Listen I'm not going to get into who's fandom is bigger and better Locals versus non locals.. Bills fandom is Bill's fandom The bolded , while maybe true for some people.. is a very blanket statement that is not correct at all There's lots of Bills fans in Buffalo who spend tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars a year on the bills People who haven't missed games in 10-20 years... People who spend their entire paycheck on Bills memorabilia If Buffalonians didn't spend money on the bills we would have been gone a long time ago.. but they get a lot of money from us -
It absolutely wasn't an FU to the Buffalo Bills And there's a lot of football coaches who have already explained why it wasn't a bad decision.. the bills execution after was bad First squib kicking is not guaranteed to take any time off the clock.. you can fall on the ball and the clock is dead.. it gives the team the chance to have the ball at 35 or 40 with 0-1-2 seconds off It does not burn 6-7-8 seconds off the clock if the other team executes it Pooching it up in the air , and a directional squib can also have a chance of going out of bounds it's possible What is safe is Tyler bass booting it out of the end zone.. and thinking your d could defend 40 yards in 13 seconds A squib could have been 25 yards in 11 seconds

Joe Burrow: 'Bengals beat second-best team in the AFC, twice'
Buffalo716 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's not the context and I'm not sure why the context makes op sad Joe burrow is saying that the Bengals are the best and that they beat the second best team the Chiefs twice in January And it's very debatable that the Bangles are the best and the Chiefs on the second best It's how the NFL rolls sometimes -
Josh Allen his rookie year.. played with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL One of the worst receiving cores in the history of the NFL.. Zay Jones was his number one.. kelvin Benjamin looked like a tackle... Undrafted Robert Foster became his playmaker It was god-awful And then if you actually watch the games through that lens it was clear Allen was the best player on the field for the bills And that you absolutely needed to surround him with talent .. he oozed talent his rookie year but he was unrefined and had little talent around him
-
UB has always had a handful of local guys Majority of them are always loyal to the program
-
Because he hasn't had the chance to draft a guy like Josh Allen The dude picks at the bottom of the first round where your left with guys like garoppolo He's never had the chance to take a dynamic QB Allen didn't magically become good.. he's always been good .. had no cast at Wyoming If Bill saw Josh live and couldn't see the talent then he's not a good coach.. because when you see him in person it is very clear
