I understand that -

Buffalo716 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think that was the question of the OP tho Which position constitutes it... Or basically which positions should be considered Seeing as long term hundred + million dollar deals take time to ink out.. QB certainly constitutes it .. beane exercising it certainly believed it also was worthwhile in the moment -

You probably think Applebee's is a delicacy -
I don't think I ever said once the bills wouldn't be better with a better RB... Again it's about value ... And Josh is going to be throwing a lot more than the team will be running... So the value isn't there in round 1 RB.. it has been super strong round 2-3 in the last decade As per the bolded, he actually takes on way more Defensive backs than Dlineman.. when he gets on the edge he is going against LBrs and dbacks... No defensive lineman are catching him ... He gets hit by the big boys IN the pocket not outside it Not saying you don't want to limit hits cus you do... But he is the hammer way more than the nail when he runs ... He punishes players in the secondary and smaller LBrs

His father is Cooper Manning.. brother of Peyton and Eli Stop playing ball at 18 due to spinal stenosis And Arch Manning is good but he's not a generational prospect.. he is well beyond his years in the mental and feel parts of the game... He has an uncanny feel in the pocket, diagnoses fast with a natural quick release He does have solid pro potential

I think it's unique But I've coached and scouted for 30 years and I've gone to those elite 11 camps before And the better coaching you get at an earlier age, and the more consistent training you get... The more likely you are to develop into a division one player Couple that with the Mannings vast resources and knowledge of football... And love of football.. it's not really a shocker they have developed good quarterbacks You don't need to be the most physically gifted... But being mentally ahead of the game gives you a huge advantage especially in HS and college the Mannings have generations of football knowledge to pass on.. Arch is 50x ahead of most quarterbacks his age mentally with good physical gifts But It's not elite physical gifts that set him apart.. it's the quarterbacking knowledge he's learned... His feel in the pocket is much beyond a 17 year old I think the Mannings are outliers but I'm not shocked by it

Just because you played quarterback in the NFL, doesn't mean your kids want to follow in the same steps The Manning's are a football family.. all of the kids are quarterbacks There's not a lot of NFL families where the kids are groomed to be quarterbacks like their parents.. Kelly groomed his nephew Chad, and he was a five-star recruit.. and potential early round draft pick before all the off field issues The griese family sent father son to the League Not all NFL players try to create NFL families.. like The barbers or Mannings or gronkowski's, or longs etc... This all starts with Archie... Tom Brady's not out there grooming his kid to be a quarterback .. Archie created a football family

It's called vast resources Peyton and Eli and Cooper grew up the son of an NFL quarterback.. they went to the best camps and got the best training their entire lives Their kids also grew up around great NFL quarterbacks.. went to all the best camps since they were children.. had the best training and development It's really not a shocker that they're further developed in the quarterbacking skills earlier than most... Quarterback is the one position you really can groom It's hard to build a Bo Jackson

Again I'm not saying I'll be angry if he's the pick I'm just saying the value over the last 15 years isn't there in the first round When there's high value at pass rusher, and cornerback, and offensive tackle Outside of quarterback.. getting to the quarterback, protecting the quarterback, and defending the pass are premium Hall is an A+ second round pick.. but as far as value Id called it a B in the first round

Breece definitely has a chance to become a stud... Here's the most likely scenario tho given he does The bills have the most dynamic player in the NFL, Josh Allen.. realistically you want the ball in his hand as much as possible... Now that doesn't mean you don't want a stud running back .. you need balance But Josh gets 11 yards a completion... A top back will get 5 yards per carry... It's just more efficient with Josh So realistically our star running back is not going to be getting Adrian Peterson type carries.. and if he really has the goods... He probably would like to sign to a team that would use him like that I can't see an elite running back who's being underused in our offense , because Josh touches the rock so much, want to re sign after his rookie deal It's probably rookie deal and moving on honestly Because if he's that good a team will pay him to be a feature back .. and I honestly don't see 250 or 270 carries in this offense

It's just about the lack of value of drafting running back in the first round The smart GMs take them in the 2-4 rounds You got a 5th year option with a first round pick.. you want that on a high value position

Top 10 Herd Hierarchy following Free Agency
Buffalo716 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Having watched him for years going back to the herd I might agree That's why it was hard to take him super seriously.. he changed his opinions like I changed my underwear -
He may not be able to defend NBA players But he can definitely be a stretch 4 offensively Judah baby! What a class!
-
I agree I'm almost certain ETN wasn't the guy.. and I don't think he's a game changing NFL back Wide receiver is one of the most injury prone positions in the NFL.. and we're lacking on outside wide receivers outside of diggs and Davis I absolutely think they would draft a wide receiver over running back round 1 .. I really think round two is The Sweet spot for rb
-
A third round pick and a first rounder are different tho I agree if they're taking a defensive tackle in the first he has to have pass rushing capabilities I expect a corner or WR

Four Years of Josh, Four Years of Great Moments
Buffalo716 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he stays healthy I truly believe Josh Allen will go down as one of the greatest football player of all time His skill set is unmatched in NFL history and he's still getting better -
What non-QB has the highest trade value in the NFL?
Buffalo716 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Smith definitely was a stalwart before the injuries Stanley is definitely very talented.. love me some golden domer lineman -
