I think the 14’ team (once Orton took over) was right there with that 04’ team. I’m going to give last years team the benefit of the doubt and say they are the best of the 2000s. Let’s be real here, we had that game won in Houston and totally choked it away..last years team might have ended up being the best team since 93 had we advanced. This current team has a lot of really good players on it. I don’t think the 04’ team was better.

Unpopular takes on TBD
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent Murphy is pretty good. Plays to the whistle and makes an impact in the pass rush. When he’s out there, he is effective and has a high motor. The guy has been hurt a lot, I will concede that but he’s much better then he gets credit for. -
I used to have this argument borderline daily on the old BBMB. I was a crusader for Fitz. He was my guy long before he became “Fitzmagic.” That whole thing was 100% Chan Gailey. To look back and see just how terrible of a head coach Chan was, is sickening. When you are the head coach, you are responsible for the entire team (Not just the offense). You do not get a pass for completely neglecting entire sides of the ball. Our defenses in those years made winning impossible. Also, we ran the same 4 or 5 plays every game for entire seasons. Teams figured us out right after that jets whiteout game and no adjustment ever got made. The play calling was senseless and the in game management was inexcusable. Chan was THE worst head coach I have ever seen in my life. Watching the Bills is probably my second favorite thing to do in life...if they brought Chan back for that next season, I was seriously considering canceling my Sunday ticket. Fitz did not have a chance with that team or that clown. I really wanted the Bills to retain Fewell and allow him to be the HC. I liked the way that 09 team played the second half of that year after Juaron but the past is the past... Now about Fitz. This guy was absolutely “my guy” I think there is a world in which you can get to the playoffs and maybe even advance with Fitz as your qb. This is the issue with him (and I’m not sure how teams don’t see it) Do not ask this guy to throw 35-50 passes in a game. Somehow, every time this guy gets in...teams are having him throw the ball all over the place. I said this almost every week when he was the Bills QB. Fitz will absolutely throw you out of a game. The guy is going to give his WR a shot but that is going to put a lot of plays at risk. If you let this guy throw 40 times in a game, he will throw for 300+ but he will throw the interceptions that put you in a spot. You have to save Fitz from himself. If you keep him in that zone of 15-25 passes, run the ball and play good defense...you will win a lot with him. He doesn’t have the physical abilities that most qbs have. But he absolutely is capable of running almost any offense and he will score points. Also, the guys on his own team play really hard for him. You just can’t allow him to be Drew Brees and throw 45 times in a game. He will not scale back the risk factor regardless of the score or the situation and he will throw you into trouble. If a balanced coach with a head on his shoulders got Fitz in the right situation, you absolutely could win with him. The 17 Bills team with Fitz, probably wins the same amount of games and beats Jacksonville.

Josh: Bringing Sexy (Throw)Back
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t even understand how safety wise, the current rule even makes sense. I never have understood . Wouldn’t it be “safer” to change the helmets after each game? And examine them and have a fresh, unused shell? I’d think the way it currently is, was more dangerous. They should be wearing 16 brand new helmets throughout the season IMO. If it’s really about head injuries. Fans loved the old ways of the throw backs an alternates. Having to use the same color helmets, totally took away from that. -
Josh: Bringing Sexy (Throw)Back
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they change the ridiculous nfl rule where you can only wear 1 helmet, I’d love to see the 90s era uniforms as the alternates. I wouldn’t want to see them full time. Our current blue on white and white on blue combinations, are top 5 in the league. Absolutely beautiful. I love the 90s era uniforms (Especially late, Rob Johnson/Flutie uniforms). I would love to see them as an alternate, but not full time. -
2019 Bang for the buck Players list
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll say that if there was one way to describe this “mini run” of the McDermott era, it’s “bang for your buck” Between Milano, Josh Allen, Edmunds, Dawkins, Poyer, McKenzie, Feliciano, Wallace, Johnson and especially what White is still making...you have a roster full of guys that are doing a ton, for very little money -
Davis Webb running the FL workouts?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live an hour and 15 mins from Met life stadium. This guy (Webb) just flat out never got a look and it was completely puzzling to Giant fans. Eli was done for the last 3 or 4 years but the team just refused to offend him by ever taking him out. Even in lost seasons, they kept trotting out the guy just to appease his ego. Webb was a guy that a lot of fans and even some of the media, were clamoring for. He certainly has potential and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he could play. I think now thought, you are running into the Fromm deal. This staff absolutely loves the guys they draft and if history taught us anything...the guys they draft WILL play. I got to believe the backup job is borderline Fromm's for good. -
Bills MVP of decade-PFF
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod wasn’t the MVP of the decade. I will get that out of the way first before my point gets misunderstood. Tyrod Taylor was (however) the Bills QB that finally broke the drought. This team was a complete joke for very close to 20 years. That in itself is mind blowing. Tyrod was actually pretty good. Even on the Rex teams where the defense was ruined. The guy made a lot of big time plays. Tyrod is not remembered (by Bills fans) in a way I understand. I fully expected that, whichever QB broke the drought, would be glorified for the foreseeable future. I know he wasn’t the only reason it ended but he played a big part in it. The Jags playoff game was bad. And at that time I’ll admit I was ready for a change. Tyrod was Trent Edwards level overprotective of the downfield passing game, but I’m not sure how much of that was coaching. Tyrod was very important to this team. The MVP is not the best player. It’s the guy that was most valuable to a team. Tyrod finally did what none of the other Bills QBs could do. Get over that hump and make the playoffs. Shady was by far the MVP of the decade and I’d say he was the only legitimately, elite skill position player the Bills have had since Thurman. In that small window (before 2018) Shady was as good as it gets in terms of being a Buffalo Bill. Had he had a little more around him, he could have been an all time great for the franchise. -
I seriously hate these silly things. It’s football. I don’t want the kick off to go away. I don’t want the extra point to go away. I don’t want the onside kick to go away. Play Football. You want to be safer? Fine. I have no issue with intelligent solutions towards the goals of safety. Don’t change the actual plays in the game please.

Who will win starting jobs at these positions?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, both of those positions will be borderline constant rotation. The starter really won’t matter. Maybe, who gets more snaps per game? That’s more telling information. I’m expecting Singletary and Moss to get about a 50/50 split. Maybe Singletary 55 Moss 45. Moss more in the 4th quarter if we are close or ahead. And I feel like Murphy will play on a lot of the pass rushing downs. Fans seem to hate on the guy but if you isolate and watch him play to play, the guy is relentless. He is actually a pretty good player and he goes absolutely balls to the wall on the play. The other guys will rotate with eachother and probably with Hughes too. The D line is like a revolving door under McDermott. -
I don’t really have an issue with them. Change the numbers and go yellow face mask and i think it’s good

Wade as the return man?

Wade as the return man?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to buffalojedwardo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have one of the best, if not THE best KRs in the league. But let’s replace him with a guy that has barely even played football. I don’t understand why Bills fans, are always obsessed with these underdog stories. Like Duke Williams. The guy isn’t even going to make the team. We have awesome WRs now, but there will be 20 threads this offseason about a player that’s on the fringe of making the league. A guy like John Brown that had an incredible season last year...no talk. Duke Williams, hero. We have 2 young RBs that could easily be the strength of the offense going forward...nobody talks about them. Rugby player that might not even understand the rules of Football: savior. Now our all pro return guy needs to be replaced by him.- 87 replies

Fauci: virus will decide season
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not saying they will be allowed to have fans but I’m pretty sure if the NFL wants to play with empty stadiums, it’s going to happen regardless of what this guys says. -
Fauci: virus will decide season
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder who has more power in this situation? Fauci or the NFL? I’m pretty confident, if the NFL wants to play, they are going to play. I could be wrong but we shall see I guess. -
Nah, I’m good. I watch every snap of every game including pre season no matter what the record is. Spend thousands over the years on Sunday ticket to watch the Bills and make 13 hour round trips to the stadium whenever I can. Been a fan for 30 years in a place where it’s not always easy to be a Bills fan. I’m in to deep to get out. Plus I spend a lot of time listening to WGR trying to hear Bills talk and end up getting stuck listening to these guys talk about the Sabres constantly. Makes me really feel a type of way about them lol

You got to kind of root for this guy. He may still have a shot but he’s got to move quick. It’s crazy to think, the Rivers, Eli, Big Ben, Losman draft was 2004...but the Rogers and Alex Smith draft was only 1 year later. It’s funny how 1 group of QBs seems so old, and literally 1 year later seems like they aren’t that old. The end is near for all of these guys. That’s why what Green Bay did needs to be understood

I have been to Boston. I had no issues with it TBH. I went there for a comedy show. The roads were a little confusing but I had no issue with the city itself. The shirt was about hating the Red Sox. Not hating the city. That was literally my entire point of explaining to people it wasn’t about the city. My entire point was I got tired of explaining it was about the Red Sox. My guess is wearing it to Boston, they would have grasped the concept . Again: no issue with Boston the city. Was clear in the original post

Lol I’m from considerably down state (The Hudson valley) Takes me an hour to get to Met life and 6.5 to get to New Era. I have been a bills fan my whole life deep in Jet and giant territory. But where I am, I’m also a huge Ranger and Yankee fan. So I absolutely despise Boston for literally all 3 of my teams. Back in 2009, I had a yankee shirt that said “what curse, you guy just sucked for 86 years” on the front and just “Boston Sucks” on the back....But it was a Baseball shirt ?♂️ One weekend, I was up for a Bills game and me and my friend went to Niagara Falls and crossed into Canada. I wore that shirt and people were appalled. People kept stopping me telling me how it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Nobody up there understood what it was about. They just kept telling me how great of a city Boston was lol. your post just reminded me of that and how tiring it was to try and explain it to Canadians. Eventually I just gave up and acted like I didn’t realize they were talking to me

How McDermott and Frazier confuse offenses
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone always says it’s all about how much ground our Safety’s can cover. They give our defense freedom to disguise a ton. They both are so excellent and their value goes way beyond the stat sheet.
