  1. Ah, forgot about that. Well, now that Holmes is de-signed, maybe we can pick him up midseason.
  2. Remember last offseason when we brought in Tate, Boykin, Little, Salas (yes he was brought in at the end of that season), and Hunter? Same strategy re: WR3-5/6/7 (probably not 7).
  3. Fans would be happy with that. Some would spend time picking apart Cousins' flaws, but most would be happy we made a move for a someone who looks capable of being the franchise guy. Gotta imagine that if Cousins becomes available he is going to San Francisco though.
  4. Over. Overall talent turnover won't be all that different, assuming we shore up WR and CB in the draft. Coaching will improve.
  5. Given Watkins' injury history, I do not understand the "no WR2 at #10" argument. It's about as likely as not that Davis/Ross/Williams would end up being WR1 for at least some, if not a significant portion, of the 2017 season.
  6. Okay, but to me that's like the flip side of McKelvin in his early years. Always in the WR's pocket, but never able to make a play on the ball. My point was that ability to create separation is maybe #2 in importance to a WR after availability.
  7. Somehow I doubt any WR would prefer tight coverage to being wide open...
  8. plus he's training at a cabin in the woods with JJ
  9. Re: Ross, above, the 40 should have just been the icing on the cake. (The cake being his 81 rec, 1,150 yards, and 17 TDs in 2016)
  10. I hear you. Still, that's why guys like Boldin, who played against top competition, last until pick 54. I'm not advocating for doing away with the 40, but just think tape should be the golden standard regardless. Re: Williams, the reason he won match-ups frequently, from my understanding, is that he wins 50-50 balls, not because of his speed. Totally agree teams don't want unanswered questions, but can't-miss prospects are few and far between.
  11. The 40 time has become so overblown - how do these teams need more than Davis' years of solid tape? Give me Anquan Boldin's 4.7 everyday so long as it comes with his general physicality, willingness to go over the middle, and blocking/intangibles.
  12. Zach Brown. Also, Ryan FItzpatrick, Mario Williams, and Jairus Byrd.
  13. That's not fair: they've had so many more playoff games to score 30 points in. Any chance Mahomes falls to 44?
  14. 1 Davis - WR - Western Michigan 2 Tankersly - CB - Clemson 3 Evans - S - Texas A&M 5 Davis - DE - UT Chattanooga 5 Cannon - WR - Baylor 6 Evans - QB - Virginia Tech
  15. I'm on the more optimistic end of the spectrum with Taylor, but wow does that show something about the difficulty of winning a shootout without a franchise QB. The point was that running back can mean either fullback or halfback, but fullback and halfback are not the same thing.
  16. Guys I see as WR2s or better within their first year in the NFL: Corey Davis, Mike Williams, John Ross, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Zay Jones, & KD Cannon
  17. I'd be fine with either Taylor, Daniel, Jones or Taylor, Jones, Daniel.
  18. If it's QB1 Taylor, QB2 Jones, QB3 Kelly, then that is a situation in which he could take his time, learn, and commit himself to the game. None of us will be in the room when (not if) the Bills interview him. That's going to be the key analysis.
  19. Well he went in the 5th, but agreed re: steal.
