  1. They way McDermott came off in one interview I saw, no link sorry, was that he seemed confident in Darby and Seymour as our starting corners. McDermott also got a lot out of young, inexperienced corners (think letting Norman walk) last year. Look for a signing like Jerraud Powers, a veteran from Baltimore who played a lot there, and who is familiar with Coach Frazier from their time together there.
  2. Echo the surprise on NRC getting cut, especially with that slot QBR posted above. Do believe that Darby and Seymour are our starting CBs in 2017.
  3. Re: ^, almost certain that Taylor and Aiken did play together in Baltimore. Could speak to whether or not they're keeping Taylor. Hardly a signing to be upset with, this would be a prudent move based on value.
  4. Hopefully the idea that he is an athlete and not a football player is held widely and he falls to us in the 2nd, like he just did in my Fanspeak mock draft. And we had Hooker in the first...
  5. Big fan of Watson, bigger fan of Mahomes. What do people think of VT's Evans?
  6. I hope Washington continues to improve, both for depth and spelling Williams, as well as to give Dareus someone to look at over his shoulder in competition.
  7. Plus we aren't dealt QBs. We get to pick them. We even determine how much money to offer, or, in the draft, who to pick. Further, we even have a hand in determining where we pick by our play and trades!
  8. ^ You're both probably right. We could feasibly sign one of them though. And it would be super easy to do in Madden. Actually, if they drop Taylor and go with a rookie QB it is doable in real life.
  9. Sign Marshall to an affordable contract and then get DeSean Jackson, who said in the Fall he misses playing with McCoy, for $1-2M less than Woods would cost.
  10. Joined here a few months ago and had been at BBMB since 2004. Really excited to see how the two communities mesh. There's @$$#0<3$ anywhere you might go and especially on the internet, but both boards have a majority of members who contribute thoughtful discussion that advances our understanding of the most bizarrely masochistic fanships in sports. Cheers and Go Bills!
  11. Brandon Marshall and Rick Dennison were both Broncos 2006-2009...
  12. RIP BBMB 1. JohnBonhamRocks 2. Since 2004 3. Elmwood Village in Buffalo 4. 9 years old 5. Never seeing a Buffalo championship, total US military takeover of the world, and heights 6. women 7. Fitz is one of the better backups in the league; Trent is retired 8. Dafuq is a reattata? 9. N/A 10. Complete the following sentence: "Ralph is " Will's son.
  13. Mahomes is my favorite QB in the draft. If there is a partner, then trading back to before the Texans pick in the 1st round would be a great value spot for him.
  14. So... we should add federal NFL tax and then no ads on TV or on jerseys? I'm game.
  15. I did one where Davis fell to the Patriots and promptly threw up in my mouth.
  16. Fitzpatrick would be one of the better backup QBs in the league
  17. If he's playing 70% of the time at full health, I think an small incentive K, like ndirish mentioned, is more than fair. He's a talent. Let Mills or Ola start the other 4-5 games.
  18. He led the team in special teams tackles and snaps, so a more valuable signing than might appear to be on face value. Also could speak to it being less likely that we keep Easley.
  19. Foles would be a solid back-up QB option, so I think I'd prefer him if we are keeping Taylor. Either way, I'd prefer Hoyer, but would not be disappointed.
  20. WR1: Watkins WR2: ideally Woods (2nd FA priority behind Z. Brown), but for slightly less $ we can get D. Jackson from WAS (who has said he wants to play with Shady again), or for even more savings, Taylor's former teammate Aiken from BAL WR3: Hunter WR4: Powell WR5: Listenbee WR6: Patterson would be an upgrade, but also okay with retaining Tate WR7: Easley (depending on if he is valuable enough to make the final 53)
  21. Wouldn't be against the pick-up, but would prefer Hoyer.
  22. My understanding along with that is that Taylor does not need so much to work on his mechanics as work on seeing all of the field better. Giving him the perspective of an ex-QB who has coached receivers, installed game plans, and studied film for years should help the latter.
  23. Do I think we have a lot of talent on defense? Yes, but let's remember the Pro Bowl is the Pro Bowl.
  24. Interesting way of looking at things. Seems as if Buffalo made out pretty well in that department. Also found this group interesting: PITT 25,334,805 11 2,303,164 ATL 25,500,000 11 2,318,182 NYG 25,588,400 11 2,326,218 All similar and playoff teams, 2 in conference championships.
  25. Not sure I buy that Dennison can make it work with Osweiler, but not Taylor...
