  1. For sure Like not counting wk18 where starters sat the chiefs went 4-0 in games where they scored fewer than 20pts. I don't think we are capable of that
  2. 👍I always use Mahomes and the Chiefs as an example Mahomes had a lot of games last yr where he looked like Allen did vs Falcons and they went 15-2
  3. Yeah When I first looked at it I thought 'you know what, he maybe could have flipped his hips at the last second there and thrown that ball normally, kind of similar action to the pass he threw Cook last yr vs the Lions'...then you realize well that's like a 1 of 1 type throw, is that the kind of stuff we need from Allen to keep the offense on schedule? Like is that a reasonable standard of play
  4. I get it, and again- we are seeing the same things. I'm just trying to contextualize 'bad' because (as I said before): I don't think Allen played well because he obviously didn't. I'm just saying man...it looks difficult out there on offense. Like difficult in a way that to expect a good/great performance at the QB position is borderline unreasonable. I mean doesn't it look that way to you too on film? I have a hard time just saying 'QB played poorly' when you actually go in and look at it. The protection doesn't seem to match the route timing, he clearly doesn't trust what he's seeing (from Shavers in ATL specifically), there's never a guy who just point blank wins on release for an easy completion...again to me it just looks very very difficult
  5. i mean one of the sacks you can see what happens, right? shakir at the top is open but he can't get to him because of the weakside blitz so i guess we can blame a bad protection call there, sure. can we also talk about Shavers and Coleman basically running into each other on the crossers underneath which appear to be his second read? or do we just want to say bad QB play?
  6. Ty We see it very much the same tbh The wheel to Cook- I have no idea why he didn't throw it. That's the design, they get the LB match, he even widens Cook presnap to ID the coverage Shot to Coleman- that was predetermined. You can blame Allen or Brady for that take your pick but he never comes off him and that ball is always going there Run checks I'm not going to critique because I don't know the rules as to what look triggers it, maybe you do. I doubt it
  7. @HappyDays you know i was being facetious but if this truly is the prevailing sentiment (it's completely, unequivocally wrong btw), then yes- we should be looking at trading Allen for picks. You do not need a QB like Allen to run this offense and even tho it will 100% look worse w 31/31 other starters it would be in the long term interest of the team to build the Bills out in their image w that capital
  8. 😂😂Is he talking about the one where shakir didn't get his foot down
  9. You need it for context When what you're asking from one QB is significantly more difficult than avg it helps when you're trying to say poor/mediocre/substandard etc Again- literally nobody is saying Allen played well. I'm just begging people to actually look at the film, decide for themselves what's actually available in this offense vs what another QB might reasonably be expected to produce, and then decide your standard of play
  10. show the plays lol for example this is second quarter...first down completion to palmer that he gets injured on. like this is what we are asking on offense rn, to fit a ball into this window i guess he's supposed to take the checkdown to cook? then compare that w what penix and the falcons were seeing...
  11. if you look at some of the other gameday threads you will see post after post of 'why is that guy so open' now granted- some of that is just the wr winning. but a lot of it is design. i really wish people would watch more chiefs games, specifically how those annoying little stick/option underneath are presented to Mahomes. it's just a different level of understanding how to attack a defense
  12. 😂😂Ok then btw I see you in that other thread stanning for McDermott so glass houses bud
  13. here you go hate to quote myself but i love to quote myself
  14. 'sucked' lol how many games outside bills do you watch week to week
  15. it went away because its a gimmick something you can get away w for a season before it becomes unsustainable
  16. its not defensiveness...i think it might be exhaustion you have no idea how tiring it is being correct about basically everything about this team and having to argue w you guys for a couple yrs until its proven right this is just another one of those things
  17. and if he played worse than great vs Baltimore we lose as @HappyDayssays- one of the worst relics of McDermott are the fans who have been conditioned to blame Allen for anything less than mvp level play
  18. I think it has a lot to do w your post I mean how many SB caliber teams look completely lost when their QB has an off night
  19. think about what that means tho the Chiefs went 15-2 and made the SB w Mahomes playing like maybe the 7th-10th best QB in the league and we somehow need Allen to play better than MVP caliber to do it that's not a QB issue
  20. yup fyi this is the one i was talking about. Allen widens Cook presnap and it's there. it's blocked up well, Coleman doesn't get a perfect rub on the LB but this ball needs to go to Cook
  21. I think pass pro is in his head again Look at the wheel to cook he tucked and I think took a sack on. It was there, got the LB match and all... he just doesn't trust what he's seeing and feeling rn
