Yardage Predictions for Bills Receivers in 2024
GoBills808 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
correct although i would clarify 'historic production' to say historic production as a function of points/yards gained. I'm pretty sure we are dramatically overproducing on points relative to our yardage. Some of this is definitely a credit to Brady and the players re: cutting down on turnovers (although many, many people rightfully pointed out last season was itself an outlier in terms of negative turnover variance and this season is a bit of an overcorrection ) but imo the vast majority of that discrepancy can be attributed to Allen and his frankly one-of-a-kind ability to avoid negative plays (notably sacks) while also generating TDs and first downs at a top of the league rate. -
What is Josh Allen worth in wins and losses?
GoBills808 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree That's what I've been saying There's no adequate holy ***** metric yet -
😂😂I think they should amend it then I mean being drafted by the jets is the functional equivalent of a career threatening injury

Random talking head says something about the Bills

trust me i have gone over this enough times to know the 'Andy Reid did it' thing is a red herring the argument should be looked at from the Eagles perspective, not Reid's -
Do you want the Bills to win this week?
GoBills808 replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes I love beating the patriots -
I don't mean to minimize what Darnold has done because he's been great for them and it's cool to see a guy resurrect his career...great story no doubt. They got way better w him 100% I just think in totality there are competing reasons why the Vikings are winning and that may influence his MVP candidacy Wonder if he's eligible for comeback POY or something like that

Jefferson missed half of last season And Flores' defense is most responsible for their turnaround imo
-
easy answer Fins they're potentially down their starting QB and we are 9-1 over the last 10 games vs them

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.

Yes But that's about as tough a row to hoe as I can think of tbh Will require three consistently excellent performances -
He wasn't even the best player on offense, that was Higgins if you ask me
-
Zay Flowers is a top10 WR in the league
-
yes i agree, i dont either. the time to integrate him was the first week he got here i do know that he's the only guy who has the emergency button ability to get open vs man for those easy first down looks diggs provided. that does show up on film. they're just struggling to fit his skillset into the offense holistically rn and i'm hesitant to believe that's going to change just because we get to the postseason the bigger shame honestly is that they didn't recognize the need for him (or anyone similar) earlier

cry me a river lol He's been gifted the best WR room in the league for the past 3 years and played in a Super Bowl oh and they paid him top rate too

I agree they need to manufacture more looks for Cooper. It's probably my #1 most important thing heading into the playoffs I don't want to derail this thread but from watching some of his stuff back on all22 it looks to me that they don't quite know how to use him...some of the route combos when he's in are very weird
-
he definitely draws coverage, i dont think it's arguable tbh...Rams game there are multiple examples of defenders taking him and other guys coming free Hollins first down first drive is an example, granted it's second read but you can see who the priority is on defense...looks very much like play is designed for Cooper crosser
-
Some of it was coming up in a Cowboys offense riding Zeke Bit of a victim of circumstances tbh But he definitely underproduced relative to his talent
-
He's been elite adjacent imo Athletically I do believe he has (had) the tools. Powerful route runner, strong at catch point, good hands, good body control and fast enough etc...i think that's why he got thrown into the elite category. Looks the part w out quite having the production to justify it Still the best WR on roster by far tho
