  1. I'm saying their answers are significantly more complicated than ours in terms of making the playoffs and then competing for a Super Bowl
  2. They play in the same division as the Ravens Our respective playoffs paths are not really comparable
  3. 😂😂Do yourself a favor and put that guy on ignore Bringing up the 2024 divisional as proof is hilarious. The chiefs were absolutely having their way w our defense. The ONLY reason they scored 27 and not 50 is because we managed to hold the ball for 37+ TOP and basically played the football version of a no hitter on offense It's probably one of the only ways to protect the defense tbh
  4. So you have no hesitation whatsoever putting McDermott in the same company as Belichick and Reid
  5. This shouldn't make you feel better lol Reid is an offensive coach and also has like 3x more playoff games coached
  6. no offense taken but imo the stats I gave don't even paint the whole picture...it actually gets much worse if you go further. for example: a typical NFL MVP season for a quarterback will avg around .26-.28 EPA per dropback over the course of the year. Mahomes in the playoffs vs our defense averages an absurd .54. He's basically having twice as much success vs our playoff defense than your average league MVP. It's not just that the defense is bad, it's almost unfathomably poor the Bengals have managed to hold the chiefs to 23.5ppg over the course of two games. which happens to be exactly the Chiefs playoff scoring average, so not a great feat by any stretch. if we, by comparison, had been able to play merely average defense over the course of our playoff history vs Chiefs we'd be undefeated against them. we just watched the texans hold them to 23 and the ravens to 17. i mean even the dolphins were able to give up only 26 in a game where their offense got dominated! we've never held the Chiefs to 26 in the playoffs, ever i just think it's incredibly unlikely that if (as you posit) we only gave up say 21 points in a playoff game vs Chiefs we'd end up only scoring 20 when we average over 28 in games Allen starts
  7. right people are always saying, 'oh, we just have a Chiefs problem in the playoffs' like everyone in the AFC is in the same boat well the chiefs average 23.5ppg in the playoffs vs everyone except us against us they average 34.75 there is no QB play in nfl history good enough to make up for that discrepancy. the fact that we've even been competitive in these games is staggering
  8. Allen averages 66% passing and 327 yards of offense vs KC in the playoffs, w a TD/turnover ratio of 11/1...i would hardly call that knowing exactly what to do to beat him lol
  9. No In fact Harbaugh caught lightning in a bottle when Flacco had his great playoff run and turned it into a Super Bowl victory like you're supposed to do What is happening here is completely unprecedented. I'm not sure people are aware how truly unlikely some of these statistics are
  10. 😂😂At least @ me
  11. i mean Mahomes was the best a few yrs back now it's pretty clearly Allen and Lamar
  12. it's not a QB stat as much as it's a defense/does your team know how to win stat because you are never going to come back regardless of deficit unless you get the requisite punts per drive on defense
  13. Oh I've called him stupid before but that's only because he is
  14. It only needs to work for a season My favorite part of the episode was McDermott saying 'we're only focusing on 3 things right now' and proceeded to list 4 or 5
  15. this is a made up stat, as is yours unfortunately for example we lost to the bengals in the playoffs and ravens last year by more than one score
  16. our starting dline no less if you want to get blackout drunk on Sundays have a beer every time Burrow throws short of the sticks on third down
  17. the hype for AFC jared goff never ceases to amaze
  18. so this is the part i don't understand about people who are so adamant about not changing things i mean...we still get Bills football w Allen at QB. it's still going to be a great show. it's very unlikely we are suddenly terrible, esp considering the rest of the division
  19. yup lacking another gear is how i usually describe him
  20. you'll definitely like it lol everybody likes cocaine
  21. get to play a lot of low seeds in the playoffs if you're never the 1 seed
  22. no because most teams move off from suboptimal coaches in their Super Bowl window
  23. This is repeated a lot here and it's false McDermott took over a .500 team. They weren't a 'complete crap show'. He managed exactly one more win in his first three seasons than than Marrone/Ryan had in their proceeding three. Then Allen went supernova and here we are Also I see you trying to give McDermott and not Beane credit for drafting Allen😂😂
