  1. If Wade does not make the Bills' final 53-man roster: He gets placed on waivers just like every other player with less than four-years service who is released. The waiver period lasts 24 hours. Wade can be claimed by another NFL team. That team would have to place him on their 53-man active roster immediately. If he clears waivers and is not claimed by another team: Wade is eligible to sign-on as one of 10 players on any team’s practice squad, including the Bills' practice squad. In that case, he would be eligible to be activated at any point during the season, or be signed by another club to their 53-man roster. All practice squad players in the league are essentially free agents, free to sign with any team, but must be placed immediate on that team’s 53-man roster if that happens. Wade can be signed to the Bills' practice squad as an 11th, roster-exempt player. If that happens, he is ineligible to be activated by the Bills for the the entire season, and also ineligible to sign with another team for the entire season. The only difference occurs if/when he isn’t signed to a team’s 10-man practice squad. At that time, the Bills can sign him (if he chooses) to their practice squad as an 11th, roster-exempt member, making him ineligible to play in the NFL in 2019. Ultimately, Wade has a chance to find work and choose what his best option is before signing with the Bills as that 11th practice squad player. What is Christian Wade's roster situation?
  2. 2. Dawson Knox making his first preseason appearance Rookie tight end Dawson Knox is a full-go in practice and will play in Friday’s game, says McDermott. Knox has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has left him as a limited participant throughout most of training camp and has not played in Buffalo’s first two preseason contests. “We’ll see how today goes,” McDermott said. “With the load he’ll have today and then we’ll make a determination whether he’ll be on a managed count come game time or not. But at this time we expect him to play. How much remains to be seen.” 3. Increased workloads for veteran running backs LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore have each missed a preseason game. McCoy did not appear in the Week 1 victory against Indianapolis while Gore did not appear against Carolina last week. Both should be on the field this week, according to McDermott. “Both will get more work than they’ve gotten before,” McDermott said. “We’ll continue to communicate about the plan all the way up until game time.”
  3. wasn't implying you were. just saying they are coming. two weeks
  4. gets pretty chilly dec/jan/feb so I do have to thrown on some sweat pants.
  5. maybe he meant his best days are ahead of him...on another team? I could be wrong but that wasn't how I read in to it and believe zay stays? wont be long now, cuts are coming.
  6. Heath Farwell: "There's a bunch of roles that need to be filled on this team" Bills Special Teams Coordinator Heath Farwell meets with the media Tuesday at One Bills Drive. Topics Include: Ray-Ray McCloud finding a role on special teams, what the staff is looking for in guys making the roster on special teams, and the development of the two punters on the roster.
  7. 78/79 daytime. outside temps generally in the mid 90's with heat index over 100. July/August 79 at night and it usually doesn't even kick on with the outside temps dropping to 73 /75. these settings are summer related fall/winter/spring don't even need a/c really. edit: ceiling fans help to keep the cool air circulating.
  8. Which Bills rookie is among PFF’s top-10 offensive rookies to date? Offensive lineman Ryan Bates. Bates was added to the roster via trade on August 9. Buffalo sent defensive end Eli Harold to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the versatile lineman. To date, Bates’ play has graded out well on the analytics site. Here is what PFF said about Bates:
  9. Also out Friday are TE Tyler Kroft (PUP, foot), CB Cam Lewis (concussion), P Cory Carter(knee soreness), and OT De’Ondre Wesley. Corey Bojorquez will get a full game to show why he should be the team’s punter with Carter out. Tackle Ty Nsehke has been limited in practice this week and McDermott was non-committal about his prospects for playing Friday. “We’ll see,” said McDermott on Wednesday, using similar language for tight end Dawson Knox. Knox will see his first game action after sitting out for a while with a hamstring injury. Tommy Sweeney has been receiving the bulk of tight end reps with Jason Croom and Knox joining Kroft on the sideline. Limited in practice on Wednesday were Senorise Perry, Connor McDermott, and Jerry Hughes in addition to Nsehke and Croom.
  10. The Legend of Christian Wade is growing, but Buffalo Bills RB urges patience If you are a Buffalo Bills fan you know what happened the first time British rugby star Christian Wade touched a football in an NFL preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. He ran 65 yards for a touchdown. And you probably know what happened the second time he touched the ball, in a game against the Carolina Panthers. He caught a short pass and ran 48 yards before he was tripped up on the 2-yard line -- just 72 inches from another touchdown. If he had just listened to his football coaches he would have followed his blockers on that play, waltzed into the end zone and sent Bills fans into a frenzy. But he relied on his rugby experience and cut toward open field – where he was tackled. And therein lies the dilemma for the Bills coaching staff: Does Christian Wade, a rugby star, have a future as an NFL rookie? Or does he simply have too much to learn in too short a time? “You gotta think about it,” said Bills teammate Frank Gore, who is the NFL’s fourth All-Time leading rusher. “It’s his first time playing football. I’ve been playing football since I was 4 years old. I learned the game in Pop Warner and he’s learning it in the NFL, you can’t go no higher than this.” Wade said he’s loving his time in Buffalo and isn’t thinking about where he’ll be after cut day. Right now he’s seeing gradual improvement and he’s going to continue to progress one step at a time. For Wade to make it in the NFL he just has to keep growing and getting better every day, Gore said. “You just gotta keep learning. It’s a tough league,” he said. “I’m just so happy with how fast he’s catching on and having success with guys that have been playing the game since they were kids. He never played the game until now and that’s big.”

  13. How newly formed relationships with teammates are helping Ed Oliver’s game flourish “Jordan (Phillips) was the first guy’s house I went over to and he had the dog over there,” said Oliver. “He had the bite suit on and ever since then he’s been cool. He likes dogs and I like dogs too, so that’s how we connect. He likes cars and I like cars. He’s got a Raptor and I’ve got a Ford 250. That’s another way that we’re similar.” For Oliver it was new ground for him. The player with whom he was going to be in direct competition with for a starting job opened his home to him. At training camp, Oliver made more of a point to open up with his teammates, which was further enhanced when former Bills DT Kyle Williams spent five days at training camp to mentor the rookie. “I think those days with Kyle were really beneficial for a few reasons,” said defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. “From a football standpoint the fundamentals and techniques were all important. He has a ton of respect for Kyle. I remember when we came down to visit him pre-draft he was asking us questions about Kyle. He was familiar with him. So when Kyle arrived he was hanging on every word. Everything that Kyle talked about, technique, preparation, it was all very beneficial. Hopefully we keep those two guys in touch.” Not surprisingly, as Oliver interacted more with his veteran teammates his personal game became more disruptive on the field.

  16. Bills TE Dawson Knox, now healthy, feels like a 'kid on Christmas' The Bills haven’t seen much out of tight end Dawson Knox. That’s not really the rookie’s fault, though. He’s been dealing with a hamstring injury which he suffered early in training camp. This week, Knox’s status is improving. He’s out on the field doing some work, but as things go with hamstring injuries, the team is working him in slowly in hopes of him not re-aggravating the strain. But regardless of how things shake out, quarterback Josh Allen said he’s happy for Knox and Croom to be working their way back into the lineup. “It’s good to have them back obviously they’ve been out for a couple of weeks now. It’s just a different flow with the offense when they’re in there. It’s fun to have them back. It gives Tommy and Lee a little break, I know they were working really hard. Trying to manage all the reps that they were getting. To have those guys back it, solidifies the depth a little bit more there,” Allen said. It’s unclear how much Knox will play in Buffalo’s third preseason game on Friday against the Lions, but the Bills will likely want to get him in, if they can.
  17. no worries. all these idiotic so called sports writers are all going to look the fool when the bills win 10+ games and make the post season.
