  1. fins 32nd, lol
  2. normally I would not counter any of your takes as I find you as one of the more knowledgeable members here but I disagree with your take. the long and short of it is this a division game. a loss would hurt, especially a division loss. a win would help in reaching at least 2nd place in the division (since marcia and company are supposedly unbeatable). division games are always important and imo, must wins. I would also add that every game is important, all 16 but if they had to lose I would rather it be to the giants or any non conference team then the jets. in short, this is a must win game, imo.
  3. like this kid. of course he wasn't playing any ranked defense but still a freak.
  4. could mean a team felt they were worth picking up? one who may not fit on one team, may on another. the good thing going in to this season for the bills though, is depth.
  5. Buffalo Bills begin prep for Jets: Sean McDermott on Sam Darnold, LeVeon Bell Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Jets quarterback Sam Darnold meet for the second time and Buffalo coach Sean McDermott is expecting a tough test for his defense. “(Darnold) looks like he’s composed. I don’t think that’s different. I think we’re seeing a good, solid quarterback that’s young but progressing and developing,” McDermott said Monday before the team’s first practice since the initial 53-man roster was finalized over the weekend. Darnold only played in one game against the Bills in 2018 because of a foot injury that sidelined him on Nov. 11. Allen missed the game too with an elbow injury. Both played in the second game on Dec. 9, a 27-23 win for New York. Darnold threw for just 170 yards on 16 of 24 passing. He threw a touchdown pass in the win while Allen threw just two interceptions. McDermott said the Jets’ offense under Darnold is formidable. · Former Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams was in attendance and working with the defensive linemen. On one rep in one-on-one drills against the offensive line, rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver slipped and fell on a rep against left guard Quinton Spain. He immediately went back to the defensive huddle and took in some words of wisdom from Williams.
  6. good post Shaw! it's finally here, the long off season is now behind us. GO BILLS!!!
  7. I heard that as well. still plenty to choose from it would seem?
  8. he looks drugged out. the dude doesn't look or sound right.
  9. whats up with allen. they must know something to completely ignore him. he's a decent punter, no? Who could the Buffalo Bills turn to if they release Corey Bojorquez? Ryan Allen, who was cut by the New England Patriots, has consistently been ranked among the middle of the pack for net yardage. Last year, Allen, a three-time Super Bowl champion, ranked 16th in average yards per punt (45.1), and was 19th in average net yards per punt (39.5). Allen also put on a punting show in the Super Bowl, averaging 43 yards per punt with three punts inside the 20 on his five boots. Bryan Anger, who was cut by the Houston Texans, averaged 47.2 yards on ten punts this preseason for Houston. During a seven-year career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Anger has averaged 46.2 yards per punt with a net punting average of 40.6. He is coming off a 2018 season where he averaged 45 yards per punt with a 38.9 net punting average on 57 punts for the Buccaneers. Matt Darr, who was released by the New York Jets, has familiarity with the Bills after appearing in five games during the 2018 season. Darr averaged 40.5 yards per punt with a net average of 36.3 on 20 punts with the Bills. Prior to his time in Western New York, Darr nearly averaged 40 net yards per punt on 182 punts with the Miami Dolphins during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Donnie Jones, formerly of the Los Angeles Chargers, ranked 32nd among punters in average yards per punt last year (42.3), and was 31st in net punting (38.0). Only three of his punts went for touchbacks last year, with nearly 32 percent of his punts traveling inside the 20. Johnny Townsend, who was cut by the New York Giants, averaged 43.2 yards per punt with a net average of 38.3 and 17 punts placed inside the 20 on 70 punts with the Oakland Raiders in 2018Who could the Buffalo Bills turn to if they release Corey Bojorquez?
  10. it'll be a start. my point was who will be the better QB game 1. my initial post was responding to the one that claimed darold was the better QB between the two, presently. I'm well aware it will take the season to see who comes out the better QB, in 2019. both are only in their 2nd year and both have some work ahead of them.
  11. you seem to like to piss on the parade here don't you paisan.
  12. How the defensive line uses extensive film study to gain an edge with their pass rush Much like quarterbacks make pre-snap checks or changes at the line of scrimmage to get to a better play or protection, Kyle Williams took it upon himself to have counter moves at the ready for certain passing downs that would put Buffalo’s defensive line in the best position to succeed. Now Alexander and Phillips will be entrusted to put Buffalo’s pass rushers in the best position to win on key downs in games. The defensive staff broke things down in the spring for the new players added to the roster in the offseason, knowing this isn’t a common practice for most NFL defenses. Having great player attendance during the OTAs in May and early June, enabled every defensive player on the roster to get up to speed on how the calls are made week to week and executed. “So much of it gets put together on Wednesday or Thursday,” said Phillips of installing pass rush strategy during a regular season game week. “That’s where you learn what you want to do. Are you facing a scarecrow back there, who is going to stay in the pocket or are you facing someone who is going to scramble? When the quarterbacks do scramble, because they all will, where do they escape to? A gap? B gap? Or do they roll out to their right for their throwing arm? What type of protections are we going to get? Are we getting max protection, are they sliding four-man one way or the other? So just encompassing all that together and then not getting too cute. “We have Jerry Hughes, Trent Murphy, Ed (Oliver), Lorenzo (Alexander) and Shaq (Lawson) and some other guys who will roll in there. We don’t have to get too cute and spin and wrap. If I see Jerry one-on-one, I’m going to say, ‘Hey take that, you’re going to win nine out of 10.’”
