The playoff win against the Vikings Daboll's first year as HC set the Giants back two more years. There's been speculation that Mara wanted Jones resigned and Schoen capitulated to a deal they could get out of. No clue if that's true. It'll be interesting to see if Schoen/Daboll get a chance to make their own mark with the Giants instead of trying to make things work with the hand that Gettleman dealt them: Jones and Saquon - both highly questionable picks where they were selected.

Boxing - when it became obvious it was fixed or scripted. Tuned in on Saturday and it was worse than what I turned my back on years ago. Not only a total joke, but boring af. At least back in the day it was entertaining.

Damn, I was going to say the same. I still have and treasure my Marklin's. They only come out at Christmas and setup can be a struggle since the set is so old, but for the most part the track is in good condition and my two locomotives still run. This is from a few years ago.

The two teams that have surprised me the most are the 49ers (5-5) and Steelers (8-2). I'm still waiting for the light switch to turn back on for the 49ers and bemused that the Steelers are at 8-2 with the two-headed QB. I look at the 49ers as more of a SB contender than the Steelers, but in the end %$@#% them both - Go Bills!

I was clowning on a Saints fan acquaintance recently after they fired the HC that if the Saints kept tanking they could snag both Sanders. I had no idea the hatred Saints fans have for the Colorado coach (he came in as a Falcon).

There's actually some folks on local sports radio that think the Jets should bring back Rex. Good times.

I heard today that the rounds are only two minutes long and they're using bigger gloves that are typically used for sparring. Also heard a cynical take from a radio guy saying that it will go all 8 rounds because that's what Tyson, Paul and the promoters want. Guys like me who back in the day watched Tyson obliterate everyone in his path want to see a first round knockout. I stopped watching boxing years ago when it became obvious the outcomes were pre-determined, I'll probably watch tomorrow but I expect to be disapponted.

How would you know?

I'm a casual listener, almost exclusively drive time, I go through spurts where I'll either tune in every day or not at all for a while. My guilty pleasure is tuning in for the Jets drama - the day after a bad loss is outstanding. Evan's passion is great, but I liked Carton more when he was with the buttoned down Boomer. The two that I can't stand are Sal and BT, they're a clown show and I don't think I get any insight from them that I couldn't get from a drunk at the local bar. I'll keep my ears perked for Steve from Clifton!
