  1. The Steelers aren't a mortal lock to beat anybody. I think Cleveland has an excellent shot at that game.
  2. Indy is no slouch, but they're the team that I most want in the WC besides Miami. Very glad with how this weekend is playing out so far.
  3. Guys, I'm starting to think that Jacksonville isn't very good.
  4. Anyway, I'm a big fan of seeing threads arguing about whether Allen is better than our HOF all-time great legend QB as opposed to all the stupid threads wondering if he'll ever throw for 300 yards in a game.
  5. Different era, different players, different skillsets. Allen is already at least the second best QB in the history of our franchise. I'm happy to leave it at that for now. That said, I'm now of the opinion that this team is better and definitely more fun to watch than the 1992 and 1993 Bills. I'm not sure if they're better (relative to how the game has changed) than the 1990 and 1991 Bills, but this team has to be in the conversation for best Bills team ever. Beane has something special going here.
  6. McKenzie Davis Williams Bass Norman Obviously Allen deserves one but it's week 17 and I'm going all-unheralded this time. Also Bojorquez. Guy has hardly gotten to play this year but damn that punt was sick.
  7. I live in eastern South Dakota. Depending on the specifics of scheduling, I may need to make the trip to KC for Allen vs. Mahomes.
  8. Jags have it dialed in now and seem really focused on pulling out a clutch loss.
  9. I loved the option of switching to different audio commentary. The regular announcers were trash, but the "scouts" commentators were actually really good. They knew football, talked Xs and Os, and generally brought far more candid insight than what you normally get during any NFL broadcast. More importantly, though, they were having fun, which made their banter a joy to listen to. It was like watching the game with a few buddies. If the NFL goes this route, it would be a no-brainer to make home and away radio coverage available as listening options, too.
  10. Well, there is a little bit of intrigue at the QB position this offseason. Specifically, (1) how much are we going to pay to extend Allen, and when, and (2) will we get an upgrade over Barkley. Those are both important.
  11. They should rename it the Josh Allen Award for Ongoing Excellence and General Badassery.
  12. I actually feel bad for Jets fans. They've suffered in the wilderness for as long as we did, with all sorts of weird embarrassments along the way (e.g. getting jilted by Belichick, the butt-fumble). Their fans mostly seem like good guys, with not a bandwagon-jumper among them. They don't deserve this. Still gonna laugh though, and still glad if we don't end up with TL in our division.
  13. Yep. Also, all this talk about league MVP is going to seem kind of silly when Allen is Super Bowl MVP.
  14. If he's ready to play, he should play. That said, I have no objection to putting him on a snap count and easing him back into things.
  15. My preferred matchups are, in order: 1. Miami. If they make the playoffs, it'll be a year ahead of schedule and their fans would be right to be happy. But they gotten there with smoke and mirrors, relying on their opponents to beat themselves. Tua may develop into a good QB, but he's not one at this stage of his career, and I have a hard time imagining this team keeping pace with our offense. They're a better team with Fitz. 2. Indianapolis. Their defense is good, but we've embarrassed better defenses. Geriatric Phillip Rivers is not scary at all -- this is the type of offense I would most like to face. If Frank Reich weren't involved, so that my superstitious side wasn't triggered, I might bump the Colts up to #1 on this list. 3. Cleveland. To me there is a clear gap from #2 to #3. Cleveland isn't as good as we are and we would be solid favorites over them, but they're a balanced team with a good running game, functional passing game, and pretty decent defense. Nothing we can't overcome, but it would be nice to play someone more one-dimensional. 4. Baltimore. Not a great team, but Jackson is good enough to give his team a chance to beat anybody. 5. Tennessee. Similar to Cleveland, only better across the board. I would feel kind of jobbed if we finish 13-3 or 12-4 and end up having to play the Titans in the first round.
