  1. You could use Google Drive, and the publicly share it. Another poster did that a few days ago with spreadsheets of draft prospects. Or you could setup a Dropbox account, and provide links to documents you make publicly accessible there.
  2. That's one opinion (Rex a draft dominator). I believe Doug is in charge on draft day... and I believe Rex is OK with that.
  3. Lots of "Rex" talk in the thread. Rex has an indirect input in player selection. Here's the flow: Rex from a tactical coach point of view, tells Doug the general types of players he wants to win now Doug looks at it from a strategic point of view: a multi-year view, what the Coach wants.. salary cap.. quality of this and future future draft classes in various positions Doug makes the pick Tactical v. Strategic ... google it. Doug has been pretty damn good with the strategic. Rex? let's discuss in Jan 16.
  4. You could DEMAND a trade. But that's not how contracts work. Reminds me of a movie quote "Everyone needs money, that's why they call it money." That short Italian guy.. what's his name? And from the press I've seen, TT isn't mad.
  5. Forbes the magazine from years years ago, to Forbes the website of today is akin to the fall of the Roman Empire. I used to buy the mag because it brought hours of coherent and meaningful reading. On the other hand: the website provides slideshows written by at home authors paid $10 a project.
  6. That would be very Bilichekian of them. (Hey, they have: Freudian, Sun Tzusian, Clausewitzian. Bilichekian works also)
  7. I worked in HR and also did a stint in training. Parallel to your bolded points: life is getting more complex, as the deeply flawed US educational system gives us millennials unprepared for work. I've dumbed down jobs to get recruits/employees likely to succeed. An aside, I see a theme in this thread that hints at a difference in reaction time versus intelligence. Simplifying the D may be less for intellect, and may be more for the brains to process it timely.
  8. This. NFL got burned on Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, deflate-gate and other much more serious situations. Why extend the losing streak for a 2 AM bar fight? The cop victim issue is immaterial.
  9. NFL player: Accountable for whom they hang with? Sort of. Actually, more accountable for the situations they get into. Police: Accountable for whom they hang with? Sort of. Actually, more accountable for the situations they get into.
  10. Darby is the balls. Where is the thanks to the front office for making such a good draft pick?
  11. Some would suspend him for hanging around in the wrong crowd, in the wrong place at the wrong time where a fight resulted in a cracked skull. With some, that is suspendable with a straight face. Like it or not ... NFL Players, because of their visibility and influence, are held to a higher level of behavior. I'm OK with that.
  12. No NFL discipline. An appropriate decision IMO. Sure, with an isolated viewpoint of that event only, you could impose a two game suspension with a straight face. But the league (like your employer, or you as a parent) has to be consistent across all cases of personnel discipline. I'm thinking Adrian Peterson, Tom Brady and others... I haven't followed this recently... is some other Philly guy going to face charges, or is this just going down as a bar room brawl with nothing to pursue? ----- I just had a flashback to Sweet's: Ballroom Blitz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_jdiU47bFA
  13. You are correct. It would not be a popular move among posters. Without trade action, first round QB's are a gamble. Giving away future value to step into that gamble is a fools game (and.. yes, I know prior administrations have done that).
  14. Billy Joe Hobert = Pringles Jim Kelly = Ruffles Salt and Vinegar Chips are left QB-less.
  15. Back to the OP.. Tipster is right. Subdued FA + value-based drafting will build the team for the long term. Whaley is a good judge of talent. Note: the team that plays FA and value drafting the best is the Patriots. The worst team is the Redskins (to wit RGIII)
  16. Agree, with this poster channeling Don Beebe.
  17. Damn Roger. He has cross infected the NHL. He got Edmonton's Hockey Palace named after him. [sarcasm, I think] Now he wants to make NFL like NHL playoffs. Bottom line: I'm OK with more teams in the playoffs. Let the best team win. Really, regular season is really the first round of the playoffs.
  18. Nice design. The code looked like it will adapt to all screen sizes, I'll have to check it out on the phone. One of the better Wordpress sites I have visited.
  19. There are levels here. 1. Criminal behavior which has evidence enough to go to court, and the DA apparently did not see that. 2. What the DA saw: Non-convictable LeSean douche-baggery (which the videos show). I predict a 2 game suspension. For #2. Your first sentence fragment is spot on.. generalization. It depends on the department... some are great, some not so much so.
  20. To the "he is not dedicated to the Bills crowd": The Bills have stated in the past that they think MG's track and field interests are compatible with his football career---exhibit A: the Bills let him show at the US Championships in Aug 2015. To the "haters" crowd: consider a new approach to your posts. How about not saying something by keyboard, that you wouldn't say in person. Early on in this thread, MG took some underserved cheap shots. If I met MG, I'd say "Awesome with your sister, good luck in track and field. Do you think your injury history hurts your NFL cred? I wish you the best."
  21. Dome over the Ralph.. then you have my ear, speaking as a taxpayer. If you could make it acoustically perfect as Kleinhans, that would be bonus points. I have noticed many out of towners come in for major concerts.
  22. I don't know Hammer. But I get the sense he is not a billionaire who is looking to leverage public subsidies (example: all NFL owners not named Pegula). So the parallel isn't so parallel. Life in WNY is hard. Some guy making parking money for 8 games a year "branding" and "self interest" ... I can tolerate that.
  23. Multi-purpose stadiums disappoint NFL fans. Gillette was made to host soccer. Result: the fans are seated far away from the field, the noise level is low. Google https://www.google.com/#safe=on&q=gillette+stadium+sucks When the Patsies start losing (it will happen someday), that place is going to be an empty shell.
  24. Hammer must have of Doctor in Business Administration. Pure genius. He is the inventor of the Personal Parking Spot License (inspired by the Personal Seat Licenses). I say, Buffalo has not held on to fan tradition by choice. I'd say there are few corporate dollars in town to start a corporate tradition, so the fan tradition continues because it isn't being squeezed out by corporations. You are right, the NFL wants the Ralph to be corporate--just the idiot owners refuse to see it's just not here. Ooo.. better get that liability insurance. You know some drunk fan is going to pee on, or brush up against it while having hammer lot sex.
  25. In order: 1. More time w/families = less time in the stadium buying NFL merchandise 2. Fewer commercials = lower league profits 3. Good point, but I think 1 and 2 will outweigh 4. Not sure > intensity would happen with professional players. Maybe with fans.
