  1. I think the 45 million is correct but has a 7 million roster bonus in 2026 that everyone is assuming will be granted (I think this is a good assumption). The reason for the lower number is the option and roster bonus not being included (signing bonus and guaranteed salary only)
  2. If we cut him before the 2026 season we save 2.8 mil. what is so tough about that? Being able to move on after two years (including the final year of his rookie) is pretty easy to me. Being able to get out in 2 years seems super team friendly to me.
  3. Yeah but they are not guaranteed so if hes not performing we can cut him.
  4. Thanks. I think thats a very reasonable assessment. There were a few processing errors that I found interesting. He misses the blitzer in the B gap on the cook 3rd down conversion after Josh bails Torrence out. The false start. Im hoping they were/are working on a couple things and hell get it sorted. Conditioning is always gonna be a big thing with him. Think he started playing football to keep his weight down cause he was pushing 400' at one point.
  5. Good starting post. I agree on your Buy's and Holds, but added a couple. Buy: Kincaid (for reasons stated) Ed Oliver. He was affecting things last week. I think this week it leads to stats Sell: Torrence or Cook. Torrence I think is gonna need a few weeks to find his footing. Cook I think gets his workload eaten into by the other RBs. Hold: Groot (for reasons stated), Shakir, dude is gonna continue to show out
  6. Broadcast was rough and wanted to hear about the all 22. He still seems very engaged (picking teammates up, running to celebrate). Think this is sophomore slump or is this Kromer working on things in the offseason and so hes taken a small step back before he gets go a better place?
  7. need that picture to better note that its aaron donald hes stiff arming. the flag on the play (its in the frame) made it moot but he got out and made a good play out of this ridiculous.
  8. Lol ken jeong is an ACTUAL doctor when apatow cast him for Knocked Up. So i feel great if he knows more than chao.
  9. I really don’t like how it stops the clock. That was crazy useful for them. Almost as conceding the down which was also crafty.
  10. If all you knew last year was that Oliver got extended would it be 50/50? I agree the numbers for Oliver are great. Optimistic they are good for brown too
  11. Williams should def be the Will cause Bernard could push all pro at the Mike. Some of the challenge is we typically play zone so while hell be on the weak side away from McBride he will still likely have TE coverage responsibility (Milano is often seen covering TEs and our TEs coverage numbers are typically pretty rough when he misses time). I do agree blitzer/spy (see simulated/creeper comment), but on obvious passing downs I think you got to get Williams off. I'm fine with him as a tasmanian devil like Milano in the run game. The challenge is that Williams gets too far forward on PA which wasnt as nearly the same problem for milano.
  12. I think Groot can do it a smidge (wanna disguise) but I agree AJ is the preference.
  13. I love rooting for this kid too but I am very scared hes not gonna be ready for McBride. But on the plus side stopping the run is his strength and thats the key to this game. I would consider using him in simulated and creeper pressures and drop a DE into coverage. I dont know that you lose a lot in terms of coverage ability but you gain the element of surprise. Lastly on obvious passing downs Edwards should come in. Hopefully I'm wrong or as we get through the first part of the season he continues to grow (was satisfied with his improvement this offseason), but his tape to date is tough.
  14. Likelihood we go dime on obvious passing downs again? I think it’s high. Who do you bring into the box? I lean rapp but he was deep last year.
  15. I am way more nervous about Dorian. Dude was lost last year against weak offenses like NE and NYG. We had to play AJ Klein over him in the playoffs. Dorian has looked a little better in pass coverage this preseason but he really concerns me. I have seen both players floor and damars upside. Dorian’s floor is significantly lower than damars and his upside is a bit higher. I expect on obvious passing downs Dorian comes off the field for Edwards. If safeties were truely worst in the league (not your language but other posters) this will not occur week 1.
  16. Why wouldn’t they just let fans buy in?
  17. Yeah but that’s not their physical gifts which is what you said you couldn’t see. You’re right if your point is that they haven’t been elite players. But it’s not cause they aren’t physically gifted (as you said it’s mostly injuries). Also Oliver’s speed is elite (are you disagreeing with RAS?). His score is mostly hurt by his size. His burst is great and it shows in an elite pass rush win rate now that he’s started to figure out the hand fighting. so they have definitely swung on many trait players (heck buffalo joe). Hoping we see a couple hit this year and it forms the core for second window.
  18. Spencer Brown has 10 for RAS maybe try looking if you can’t name another supremely gifted player. Literally the most athletic tackle ever. cole bishop at 9.8+ (though no agility testing). ed Oliver 9.88 knox 9.23 for more offense
  19. Correct Colts do have more but most when they were in Baltimore (4 versus 2 in Indy). Jets got 2 total. https://champsorchumps.us/records/afc-east-winners-full-list
  20. Ride the pine for another season? Dude played in 13 games in 2022 and 3 more in 2023. Most importantly he has played in 3 playoff games with 2 INT and 3 PBU. I dont see that as riding the pine. Lastly Watkins and Darby were not Beane picks so he moved on from the quicker. Basham would be the better example imo but I think Elam has shown significantly more upside than Basham at a similar point in their careers.
  21. I think its like 2 for colts versus 1 for jets. so my answer is 5th!
  22. Good post by the OP. I see it similarly. Need all those things to happen. Each of them individually seems pretty reasonable to happen but all of them together seems like a bit of a stretch. If 2-3 dont happen well "struggle" and have our worst season in 5 years (which means worse than winning a game in the playoffs).
  23. You can only have 2 returners in the formation. Since nobody moves until the ball is caught not sure what fake catching will add as players can literally watch the ball with no issue. I do like the idea of a 3rd "returner" that looks like a blocker and sweeps around. There is for sure gonna be some fun wrinkles.
  24. Yes NFL desires more returns with the new rules. Because players line up closer to each other the new return is expected to be safer (less high speed collisions) than the previous ones. So now returns are good again.
