  1. Logan Thomas a scratch for today, hopefully that means no TE's whiffing on blocks like last week.
  2. This is a good question Promo. If you were to ask it again two years from now I imagine depending on each teams success will determine how many of us would vote then. If Cleveland is a playoff contender for the next 5 years I have to think more people will vote for the 17 year drought. I expect the same shift if we are good in two years and Cleveland is not.
  3. Edmunds and Murphy are surprising. In what has been a dumpster fire so far, I wasn't expecting to see the two of them ranked the lowest under Groy, Benjamin, etc...
  4. Is our O-line better at run blocking or pass blocking? I could be wrong, but for some reason I assume Ducasse, Miller and Mills are all better at run blocking.
  5. Man, we have not been good at judging QB talent. Hopefully that has changed with this regime.
  6. Ironically, as a board no one here seems to think McCarron is the best quarterback based on that poll.
  7. Well....maybe he would have been traded...you know if he had played decently.
  8. You're right...Mills was like the only one we didn't complain about today. Weird.
  9. Out of curiosity what makes Rodak so bad? Or should I say worse than the other guys covering the Bills? I was thinking the other day how I don't think I can tell any of the reporters apart from their tweets except that Thad Brown tends to use the word brutal/horrible/etc... when describing Allen's miscues.
  10. I wonder how many athletes deal with this. I doubt EJ is the first. Young guys/kids spend their whole lives working to this. It is by the nature of the NFL that only 32 people minus injuries can have that dream of being an NFL starter. It is the nature of the game; I think it is something that makes football so appealing because everyone is good.
  11. Hmmm.... I'm listing guys who weren't just bad ALA Keith Ellison, debatably Chris Kelsey and Josh Reed, etc....I'm trying to list guys who were supposed to be starters and were soon replaced because of their ineptitude. (Of course) Maybin Chris Williams Derrick Dockery John McCargo Larry Tripplet I guess when you suck at evaluating linemen that's one good way to ensure a playoff drought
  12. After Terrance Pennington started for us for a year I thought he would be in the league for a while. I thought Dick Jauron was a good coach.
  13. I am going to miss Fitzpatrick when he retires.
  14. Someone saying the Bills will suck. Sounds like another season to me.
  15. It seems like most of the positions are pretty set. Unlike some of the drought years where it seemed most positions were up for grabs, I think this is a good thing.
  16. This is certainly a real possibility. I would point out that Dawkins was Glenn's insurance as Groy with Wood. I'm not confident about our depth though I would think that if our line remains healthy (4 out of 5 did last year) it won't be a 2007/2010 type season. It probably won't be the last couple years where at least 3/5 spots have been solid or better either.
  17. This is an excellent point. Of course I would keep in mind why the team has been a run dominant team. I think (and I'm sure it's debatable) Lynn, Roman and even to a lesser extent less talented coordinators were wise enough to play to our strength of running as opposed to passing.
  18. Well, if nothing else, I think we all can agree that it's not Edwards, Losman, or Manuel.
  19. I mean, we do have a history of trading with them for the #4 spot in the draft.
  20. I wonder (not enough to actually look it up) what Peterman's passing rating is when he throws to Benjamin.
  21. Not only that, but sometimes doing the opposite of the general trend can work for a team. New England set a trend of running 2 or 3 TE sets with Gronk and Hernandez as most teams were going smaller and faster on defense to counter more of passing in the NFL. That worked out for them pretty well. I appreciate your reasonable, let's wait and see. I agree.
