Game thread: MNF Cincinnati at Jacksonville
Billsfan1972 replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sure McD watches this game and thinks "Who needs Allen" when third string scrubs can perform like that? -
The only positive would be McD leaving as sorry missing the playoffs with Josh Allen is inexcusable and he's had his hands in every loss to date.
-
Can always dream!!!! And I think Allen is the equal of Mahomes (save McD).
-
Which makes this year so sad. Of course the Bills can turn it all around.

Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
Billsfan1972 replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately this is the year to fire McD as his fingerprints are all over every loss and decision made this year (game plans and calls). If they lose the next two weeks, I can see a scenario where he loses the locker room and forces Terry's hand. 2024/25 I see no way with Allen that they aren't a playoff team again, but the goal is to win the Super Bowl and like others, I expect when push comes to shove McD will come up short and as long as Playoffs Pegula won't make a change. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
Billsfan1972 replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been hoping he proved me wrong for years' now as all I care is the Bills win.😜 I'm hoping as Pegula watches the 2023/24 opportunity slip away if things go further south, that he sees what a blown opportunity this was and that McD was primarily responsible. NE has 2 wins this year and drove 75 yards to beat Buffalo..... -
Okay let's not exaggerate. Both were 7-7 going into the last 2 games. Buffalo lost in OT to Miami and Rex was fired. The difference was the 2016 Bills offense was actually not bad at all. 2017 under McD they were 31st in the league. The Steelers have been lucky all season as they were outgained every week and winning. Law of averages catching up. NE has one win this year vs. a team not named the Bills.🤔

The Bills need a Penalty Reduction Consultant
Billsfan1972 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Found this and can sort all penalties. I have it on Pass Interference https://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/defensive-pass-interference?year=2023 Incredible to see Jax has drawn 15 DPI & committed only 1. Totals interesting too as Bills are 5th in committing penalties and 19th in drawing them. https://www.nflpenalties.com/phase.php?year=2023 Equally bad on Defensive & Offensive Penalties committed. -
Waddell.... Now that drop.

Just saw Collins for the Texans locate a bomb, adjust and then make a great catch. Again never seen that from a Bill this year.

McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
Billsfan1972 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
And fine..... No idea who you were talking to, just responding to what you said that I don't agree with. Look at the full year and the issues on Defense. The Davis tip int was 100% on him and cost the Bills 3-7 points (and not talked about). Vs. NE they had one TO (and yep allowed NE to go 45 yards for a TD). The other was on the last play of the game. -
McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
Billsfan1972 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
And again you're talking about teams that are not particularly good on offense. Controlling the ball against the Bills and Scoring above their season average and winning. Sorry every loss has at the end of the day been because the defense did not make one-stop they needed. 2×vs. Philly, NE, NYJ special teams, Denver. Jax shredded the Defence the 4th and Cincy at least a shot if one stop at the end. Oh and after week 4 how many ints have the defense had? Fumbles are arbitrary and can go either way. Answer 2 bs. NYJ and deflected pass vs. Philly. -
Here we go again, blaming Allen's fastball???? I guess the perfect fastball Gabe deflected resulting into a Denver int, would have been a wow catch? Catching a sideline pass in bounds is what is practised. All pro receiver catches and little else. AJ Brown, Ceedee Lamb, Justin Jefferson and countless other receivers are having a good laugh....🤣

It was bang bang and they weren't overturning the on field call. Regardless the officiating sux

NFL Coaching Tenure Before Winning 1st Super Bowl
Billsfan1972 replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD always tells us he's the most prepared coach, they've practised all scenarios and it is not on him when it blows up in their face. He said they practised last second FG team three times during the week before Denver, yet game day with the whole stadium knowing on second down, they weren't trying to score and using timeouts still blew it????!!!!! 13 seconds too. I'll go back to the Tennessee game where Josh slipped and say, they knew they were going for it and should have lined up immediately and not let Tennessee get set. If so prepared you don't run down the play clock. So many examples and almost always failures. -
Again Shakir's catch & run was more "How did Allen stick that laser beam into such a tight window and hit Shakir between the #'s?" I do. Yep one.....😜 That is a great (as I say "wow") throw and just a nice catch. Yes Diggs is the best receiver on Buffalo, but any pro receiver should make that catch.

McDermott's Two Minute Defense This Year vs Past Seasons
Billsfan1972 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
The offense has been handcuffed by Dorsey & McD (not allowing Allen to run, bad play calling and McD's idea of complimentary football on the offensive side) When the defense needs to make a stop late in the game, they've failed miserably every time this year. NYJ, Jax (500 yards), Cincy (as bad as they played there was a chance and they couldn't stop them), NE, Denver, Philly..... Are we going to celebrate them stopping the Giants and TB down the stretch?😜
