https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/ty-dunne-sean-mcdermott-josh-allen-9-11/ Per Dunne, McDermott at times appeared “jealous” of the relationships between his players and his assistant coaches. One example: Chad Hall played wide receiver, was much closer in age and — clearly — has a gift for managing egos in his room. The Bills receivers loved Hall so much that they bought him a truck for Christmas in 2020. An objectively touching moment that Isaiah McKenzie shared via Instagram. In the dark, in the rain, you see Stefon Diggs and Andre Roberts lead Hall out to the driveway with a beanie over the coach’s eyes. On the audio, Cole Beasley says that this was originally Gabe Davis’ idea and that they all chipped in. It’s impossible for any sane person to watch this heartwarming video and not feel happy for Hall. Obviously, this coach had made a profound impact on those receivers’ lives — why anyone gets into coaching in the first place. But Sean McDermott? Oh boy. Sean McDermott was not pleased. One source described this as “a dark day at One Bills Drive.” Not only was the head coach pissed that players were gathering as a group during Covid, McDermott told his staff he pays them to be a coach. Not a friend. Other coaches could not believe his cold response. They had never seen anything like this in their careers.

Greenberg - A Jets Fan - Pushing Back Against The Allen Hate

Lamar was brought up. What was funny is how upset Orlovsky was & he didn't get a chance to rebut. McD too probably has cost Allen a # more TDs. Now what too was missing Turnovers by other QB's and that this year the difference is only 3-4. -

The first thing I see is 4 African Americans disparaging JA. What does that make me???? -
And how exactly do you know? Like me you have no idea, just an opinion. I however can promise you 99%+ of coaches wouldn't have screwed up 13 seconds or had 12 men on the field vs. Denver. Everything else is just an OPINION. Just like some of us think McD is not a good coach (something I have stood behind from halfway through season 1).
-
And I will disagree and thought his development was way too slow and they should have done a better job the first two years in allowing him to succeed. Am I right? No one knows, but that is my opinion. I made the statement on another thread that "why couldn't Allen have been thrown into the fire and given the "keys" like Stroud". I was given all the excuses in the world, and maybe Allen wouldn't have been as successful, but I think he would have been farther ahead. However if McD was coaching Stroud I am 100% convinced he's be no where near performing as he is now as McD would preach "complementary football" and not letting him pass as much. No 300 yard passing games the first three years McD coached. That is just an unbelievable stat, that no modern day coach has ever approached (95%+ of teams do it by accident at least once a year). Do you not remember how many blow-outs there were McD's first two years and the complete inability to comeback if down 10 points?

I want none of them. The point is I'm not a football junky and knew absolutely nothing about McD when he was hired. I watch the game and have enough knowledge to decide whether he's doing a good job or not. The in game decisions are often horrible and 13 seconds & 12 men 100% inexcusable. He was however the Bills coach and I was going to cheer him on. I quickly lost faith in him and he has done nothing to restore it.

Stop it, just stop it. Rex may have been a lousy coach, but his last year was pretty much the exact same as McD's first year (save the miracle playoff birth). Rex did not have Allen. No Allen and the Bills would be lucky to be .500 with McD (and I'm being that generous because all the people here telling me how good a coach he is😉).

It basically tells you only an idiot would use that analogy and think it appropriate. Now a comedian trying a joke in a club "Let me tell you, you really need to applaud the coordinated efforts of those terrorists on 9-11, that was some serious sh!t and went pretty much according to plan until those Americans on flight 93 screwed up the plan and fought back" and yep watch it bomb. But the head coach to think this is a good teaching moment????

Hope it works, because last week we were told he was 100% safe. Very few have anything at all personal against McD, they just don't see him as a coach who get's the best out of his most important asset, which is Josh Allen. Add to that the coaching blunders and what will never be lived down, 13 seconds and what may cost them the playoffs this year (12 men), one can go on and on about. I never bought into the Process and that first year a lot of religion talk. He completely lost me with Peterman, showing he didn't give a damn about the offense. I couldn't stand three years of terrible offense and I certainly have disagreed with how he handled #17 from day one. Sorry just look at the Diggs situation and you know it is McD at the root of it. But win a SB (or 2-3) and all is forgiven. However this 9-11 story is national and the utter stupidity to use 9-11 as a teaching/inspirational motivating speech is telling.
