Every Allen Pass Play in Review
Trogdor replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His first two were bad, but he was lights out on the rest. I think the anticipation is better and that gives Beasley a real good chance at YAC all season. I'm very critical of Allen, but he looked very good yesterday. Even if it is vanilla defense, the new WRs and Sweeney show some serious promise with separation and speed over a very good LB corps. If the Bills can only partially improve their red zone offense this will be a completely different team. -
Kelly Holcomb, gone too soon. Probably the craziest way to lose a QB lol.

It feels like almost every signing in the last two years was either coming off of a major injury or has a history of injuries.

The ol' my wife's favorite show explanation lol

This was during his college games. Towards the end of their season there was a real lack of effort on his part in crucial parts of the game. It actually really surprised me that he was picked up at all by the Bills when they push the effort narrative so much. We will see how useful he can be as a scout team QB.

Sarcasm? It's so hard to tell these days. Wood is a no, trying to low ball Incognito is yes, and trading Glenn was a yes. Who knows if Incognito has a mental break or not if he is still with the team. Also, Wood wasn't as surprising as the total lack of skill from his replacements, including one who had done an excellent job at it just recently.

Putting a consistent winner on the field might accomplish this, but if the trend continues it won't . 20 years of mediocrity and still the attendance is good thanks mostly to tailgating. I remember fights in the stands and drunk dudes trying to run around the stadium in the 90s, but there was no smartphone to record it.

It is one of the first things they mention about every addition. -
Who’s the ONE guy that you DON'T want in this draft?

His brother, JJ Watt, and other guys like them with extreme workout regimes always seem to get hurt. Just because he has been pretty lucky so far doesn't mean it won't bite him soon. I'm very cautious about guys like him. -

I'm glad that so many people on here have the same take on Metcalf. I have the same problem with Bosa and the other low body fat gym rats that always seem to be hurt. -
I don't mind the pick, but the trade sounds awful to me. We need more pressure, and getting rid of Hughes won't accomplish this.

Glenn was solid, but Dawkins seems really slow off the snap and needs a lot of help. I'd prefer him in a position where speed guys can't just run around him.

Are the majority of posters going to just gloss over how AB flat out refused to play here? Continuing the stream of players bad mouthing the franchise and refuting the "McD is a player's coach and people will want to play for him" narrative. More big names want to go to the Browns, and I've never been more embarrassed by the Bills because of it.

Cardinals tweet their support of Right Josh

Larry Fitz was injured as was the other top WR. David Johnson was a shell of himself. Probably because they have a worse line then the Bills. So yes, trash. -
He always seems out of his depth in these situations. I really think he is a better coordinator than head coach.

I still don't get the people here melting over that statement. Don't you want a player to prove he is the best? I know a lot of the hate is still from the anti-Trump stuff, but the quote is mild. Either way Arizona is going to have the first pick again next year if they don't address that line. Fitz is aging out and Johnson forgot how to run last year.

Bills rumored to be a suitor for OG Roger Saffold

He played well for half a season. He gets beat at 1 on 1s a lot. I would hope that the LT can hold his own while being in the highest salary position. -

The Notre Dame guys seem to come out just fine. I think it's based on the program honestly. A lot of spread offense schools don't seem to develop linemen or defense. A trashcan would be an immediate upgrade. The defender might at least trip over it. I just don't think it makes sense to pick up mediocre guys in a rebuild to replace garbage. Might as well develop someone or aim higher.
