  1. This is a very good breakdown. Discovery in such a case could end up being very costly for the NFL and the owners in their other business interests. I question the legitimacy of any rule that requires workers to pledge or stand for the anthem. Certain religions can't comply with that rule and that argument has already been used for the pledge in school.
  2. Almost Megatron numbers there. A bit smaller and slower. Still, if you can imagine just a slightly less Calvin running around.
  3. You act like collusion suits aren't a normal thing. Not to mention that Trump's comments regarding this case probably didn't help. Kap was at least above average as a QB and there are much worse starting in the league. The NFL settled in this case and Kap got what he set out for.
  4. I mean it was specifically for notable black people. Maybe the race card makes sense in this case.
  5. If he donates a big chunk of that then it's really a win for him and the community. Also the mediocre QB thing is played out, his stats and actual gameplay don't back it up at all.
  6. There are already proven QBs on teams that can win now and have holes. What makes you think that an athletic but unprove QB is going to entice big names? People quitting at halftime doesn't really scream culture. I think they need people to perform before it will really entice people.
  7. It's really hard to see where the line is drawn for them. PED suspensions don't seem to matter or lack of effort on previous teams. The only common thing I hear is about their church habits and what great people they are. It might all change once they start bringing in actual talent instead of backup level guys. I keep hearing about the process, but honestly it's hard to judge when most of the team is so new to the organization.
  8. Considering he had nothing to do with those 2 lol. Those are textbook Whaley moves. I think that the Jets proved last offseason that money alone won't entice big names. They were left with a ton of cap room and nobody to spend it on. The Bills are not an attractive landing spot and the additions over the last 2 years haven't been great. It's probably going to take 2-3 years just to get the Oline fixed.
  9. Did Allen deliver in a big game that would point to this? His main threat is his legs, and your crazy if you think BB wouldn't shut that down with 2 weeks of prep.
  10. Watching your teams vs the All Blacks all the time is about as good a preparation for watching the Patriots as one can get. Granted I stick to Union, so I don't know if it follows in both codes. The only conspiracy we need is how the NFL allows Kraft to pay Brady through TB12 and avoid the cap hit. It really frees up room for them to keep solid depth and take chances on other players.
  11. I think people on this board speak negatively of Cam as though it somehow makes McD look better. That team is a mess offensively and he is the least of their problems is the injured Cam. I don't even like the guy, but this is getting as weird as when people praised McD for his work with Cam and they're not even on the same side of the ball.
  12. I'm not overly optimistic that they get this done. A total OL overhaul is going to take at least 2 offseasons and enticing high caliber players in those other positions won't be easy. We might end up like the Jets with little progress and a ton of money left over. I really hope I'm wrong. Don't forget they signed the worst rated tackle and he didn't even last the season.
  13. Mugging the WRs to try and force a challenge flag is risky. Especially if they win.
  14. People are pushing for PI to be reviewable. Again, I'm not advocating for it, but that's what they want. It's unfortunate that the play happened, but that doesn't mean the staffing wasn't idiotic. Making a mistake that doesn't get caught doesn't really excuse the mistake.
  15. The game replay rule already exists and I'm not advocating for it. I've just thought it was always off that people went after Goodell. New rules and change happens through the owners, not him. The only thing I would like is maybe a trial of the college overtime.
  16. I agree that the lawsuits and politicians are stupid. I don't know why people don't petition the owners because that's where a rule change will happen.
  17. And when the local favorite happens to be a big market? It's pretty clear that the league messed up. Probably one of the worst no calls I've ever seen. One ref waving off the other, clearly not tipped, and the helmet to helmet. It looked like NFL Blitz.
  18. That sweet mid range target Allen needs. Works really well in the areas Allen is best at passing to.
  19. Anybody who read all the texts can't be shocked by this. Richie wasn't the only one saying terrible things. Not making an excuse for that terrible locker room though.
  20. 10 yards less isn't really impressive considering the short fields most teams started with. The red zone defense was terrible and they struggled stopping the same runs over and over.
  21. Usually experienced HCs develop other coaches, not guys who are still struggling to learn their jobs. That being said, if he can cut back on penalties and make sure they know their jobs then it's a big win.
  22. My biggest hope is LT and then move Dawkins inside. They need at least 1 more guard on top of C and RT.
  23. I assume it's would you rather have this current team or a new coach. I'm not sold on McD and this team is still at least 2 offseasons from being good. So I don't want this current team or coach. It's sad, but this team is still trying to get back to the Marrone teams level of skill.
