  1. I could live with the one of Dawkins. At least a case could maybe be made that Dawkins pulled defended to c ground. But the Torrance one looked like a clean play. And at that point of the game, after just taking a holding penalty, it needs to be an alligator sized hold not a little lizard.
  2. First time I noticed that! Has he been doing that all year?
  3. They need to give teams one or two penalty review challenges per half
  4. Oh, the OP's 2 for 1 flew right over my head there.
  5. Baltimore statistically has one of the worst defenses in the league. Giving up the leagues 4th highest passer rating to opposing QB's at 103.5, 7th most points per game and 8th most yards per game and the most passing yards per game given up at 291. Mahomes should be licking his chops. They do have the leagues #1 rush defense. That said, I don't want to see the Ravens in the playoffs. Especially on the road. Their offense might be our defenses kryptonite. I'd much prefer to take my chances with the Chiefs for the umpteenth time.
  6. Yep, I was there. My brother got married at the tailgate before the game. It’s one of two games I have been to in Buffalo.
  7. More important than the one seed IMO is not facing Baltimore in the divisional round. As things currently stand, unless there is an upset by 6 or 7, the five seeded Ravens (beating Houston in Wild Card round) would face KC in the divisional. That would be a dream scenario with Bills playing Steelers in Divisional. we should be rooting hard for the Steelers here on out. Texans have a brutal schedule so I see them finishing as the four seeded division winner. Baltimore and Steelers will probably come down to the wire for the division.
  8. Cake Walk! Feels like Bills should roll but that probably means we are down by 3 at the half. a few years ago I think we were in a 3-3 ball game against the Dolphins at the half and then pulled away in the second half and wound up winning by two scores.
  9. I don't get the thinking here. Where else were the Bills going to spend their money? They weren't going to spend it on EJ Manuel and they weren't going to sign or trade for an elite QB (they're basically never available anyway if they are elite). I don't see anything wrong with spending it on one of the premier positions in the league. Look at the Steelers, they've been relevant these last few seasons almost entirely because of an elite edge player.
  10. That pass to Keon in the Titans game, while it had a lot of separation, it was not a deep ball in the true definition of one. Allen is fine with those passes like the one you describe. Deep ball to me are those passes that are lofted 40+ air yards down the field. Allen tends to throw those without enough loft. Getting a speedy receiver wouldn't necessarily fix his weakness in that area.
  11. But the deep ball is easily Allen’s worst ability as a thrower.
  12. Benford and Rousseau for me. But it really is a tough choice. A lot of guys playing at a high level through the first 8 weeks.
  13. There's really never been anything wrong with 3 TD / 2INT Josh. You can live with the turnovers if they consistently come with 3 TD's. 0 INT's doesn't get your team any points on the score board. What's better? 3 TD's and 2 INT's? or 1TD and 0 INT's? Most of the time I much rather have the 3 TD's on the board.
  14. Same could have been said about Reed entering the 1989 season. Entering his 5th year he didn’t have a HOF resume. He had one 900 yard season up to that point.
  15. on double the targets and receptions? Am I wrong in saying compared to other elite receivers he’s not as good at yac?
  16. probably better under Brady because that was when Shakir took over as our number one receiver.
  17. This is a refreshing change. Weren’t we usually in the bottom third of the league in YAC from 2020 - 2023. As good as Diggs was he usually didn’t YAC much. I think this goes to show it is more about the receivers skill set and less about the QB putting it in the perfect spot for YAC.
  18. playing so “slow” physically and mentally that he is still 4th in passer rating and number 1 in the league in QBR. Even after the two game stretch against Ravens and Texans. He’s 1st and 4th in the two most commonly accepted efficiency metrics after just having completed the toughest 3 game stretch of the schedule. another case of the standard for Josh and the Bills offense to be perfect basically every game. It’s fine to strive for that every game but we as fans know this is not the way the game has ever been for any team. Let’s not forget as well that this team was supposed to be in a mini rebuild this year with Shakir being the only we on the roster that had ever caught a pass from Allen.
  19. When it comes to hip drop tackles, you know it when you see it. They stand out like a sore thumb. As OP said, this looks like a regular play and tackle. This is not a hip drop. That said, I pretty much expect the league office will say it is a hip drop and issue a fine. But in my book, clean tackle here. If I recall, Allen was tackled week one or two I think on a play that was maybe, kind of, sort of a hip drop tackle. It certainly looked more hip dropish than this tackle on Godwin. But no flag or fine was given for the play. Which again I agreed with because hip drop tackles will be obvious. There is not maybe when you see them.
  20. It's like the well known saying "football is the ultimate team sport" has lost all meaning. People can't look past the Super Bowls. Don't look behind the curtain where you will find a great HC, great defense, especially in the post season, and the leagues best defensive player.
  21. You are correct OP. Individually speaking, Josh Allen isn't as good as Mahomes. Over these last two seasons Josh is better than Mahomes.
  22. why could it not happen before 17 game season? you would just need both out of conference teams that were in conference title game the year before to be from the same division. Very infrequent yes, but not impossible.
  23. He’s going to catch a TD this year at some point right?
  24. Knowing what we know now I think you sign him just to keep them away from the ravens. I’m not certain he’d be having the same success with the bills, so it probably go down as an unpopular signing, but in hindsight, it would be good to not have him on the ravens.
