I for one refuse to label him a bust, he was a raw rookie who got injuried. I never expected him to put any type of numbers. Give him two year and two off seasons, though this one will be rough rehabbing the knee, to learn how to be a professional football player and an NFL wide receiver. With hard work, he has the size and skills to be a good player.

I have to agree here. What has he done? I love it if he was injuried next year and Schobel was healthy. I'd bet the pass rush would be better. Why Schobel kelsey was a whimp. At least Schobel makes a play every now and again!

I agree, I want a hard nosed running attack which we may already have. Lots of Jackson and Lynch next year with controlled passing and the big play every now and again. I hope they sign Peters because you don't give away stud linemen and though he wasn't great this year he is a stud. We need that line to stay together and play a bit more nasty. Defensively, I want a more attack style defense. To do this we need better guys up front and one more quality linebacker. The steelers defense wins because they force QB into bad decision something we almost never do. We need a better end than Kelsay, and Scholbel must come back healthy. Once he went out, the pass rush was gone completely.

3 coaches in 30+ years. How about staying the course and not making rash decisions. Even good coaches have poor years and injuries can ruin a season. The Bills should have never fire Wade Phillips and then dumped Doug Flutie. The franchise has tanked ever since. I'm not saying they were the reasons why we were successful but Flutie was a winner and Phillips was respected by his players. Almost everything that has followed has proven to be a disaster. The Sabres have taken Pittsburgh approach, and I do believe it will pay off in the coming years and it should have two years back but injuries in the conference finals to the defensemen may well have ropped the city of a championship.

Talk about a dump post...first neither of the guys met the needs of the Bills. We didn't want to draft a two gap DT who fit a 3-4 system. Second, we really need to draft another small, quick WR. You win when you fill your roster with more of the same. Jackson represented what we already had, a small quick wide out. Ya, I could see Buffalo with Parrish, Reed, Evans and Jackson lining up 4 wide. We drafted players who fits needs. None of the bigger wideouts made much of a difference this season and honestly that should have been expected. Hindsight is 20/20, make sure you scream exactly who want drafted this year so we can go back and reflect and your insight!

How often does this type of stuff happen with a rookie? Seriously, you give a kid who has never had lots of money, a few hundred thousand dollars (if not more), and freedom, they are bound to make bad choices. Now, what happens in the next 6 months becomes key. Does someone pull him aside and and tell me, ok you've had your fun, now start acting like a professional, or does he continue to wander around blind and clueless. True maturity isn't as easy to gauge as you'd think when it comes to drafting 21-23 year olds. Hopefully for his own sake, he matures and begins to realize, it's not about partying, getting laid and having fun, if he wants a career and future financial sercurity.

This is all a bunch of crap. Every years schedule is a killer because it's the NFL. However, you truly can't compare a schedule based on a what a team did last year. Every year teams are different. Let's say Atlanta losses Michael Turner in preseason next year, they obviously won't be the same team. Buffalo has to follow Atlanta's blueprint and become a more consistent, power running team. We have the horses in the backfield and we have a strong o-line. We need to add a tight end who can makes play consistently. Another WR would be nice because I doubt Harvey will contribute much if his knee is bad as reported. Evans and Reed are good but Parrish is too small and misused. However, the big changes must come on defense. We need to get guy who can pressure the qb. Everything in this defensively starts with putting pressure on the other guys signal caller. IMO, Kelsey has to go and a healthy Schobel is a must. Then we need a far better end on the opposite side. Ellison cannot be the starter at OLB next year, too undersized. Free agency needs to focus on getting the TE, DE and LB spots shored up. The draft should focus on getting better quality depth. You always need DB's and LB's in this league and if possible a center would help.

From my viewing spot down here in NC, here's my rant. 1. do Bills players actually rush the passer? Chris Kelsey is the most paid piece of garbage on the defense. How about signing a pass rusher in the future because we may all complain about Aaron Schobel but the DL sucks without him and sucks huge! 2. Miami doesn't give many away but a tournover every now and again would be nice. 3. Do the Bills have any quick hitting passing plays? 4. Exactly why did we draft that 6'6" goof ball from Indiana? Besides one play early in the season has he made any? And didn't we draft that goof for fade routes in the end zone? Should Steven Johnson be playing more? 5. Does JP realize the other team does rush the passer? The human statue (one in a long line of Bills statues) doesn't under the concept of throwing a ball away. 6. Where did Fred Jackson go? 7. So Jason Peters wants to the highest paid linemen in football, why? Well atleast he's better than that idiot center who doesn't even know when his QB is lined up in the shotgun. 8. NFL schedule makers suck, why wasn't Cleveland or San Francisco playing in Toronto. Giving Miami another warm weather game was a miscarriage of justice. I am so sick of watching the Bills that my status as a fan may start to fade. Since I moved to NC, I have witnessed one playoff game and no one wants to talk about that one. Ay 5-1 I truly though we could contend for a division title and be relevant again. Just thinking about this crap puts me in a bad mood. To be a player in the AFC would be great but I seriously doubt I'll EVER see that again. Ralph's gonna die and the team will head elsewhere and I will always feel empty.

I just think that he would be an outside the box coach who would realize, I have to hire real experience, good football guys to run the offense and defense. Marv was a special teams guy who managed games well enough. You hire a retread you take a risk, you hire a new guy you take a risk, finding the right the coach is difficult. Unless you're the Pittsburgh Steelers, who hire every 15-20 years and never seem to miss. Maybe you should hire the Steelers front office as consultants amd they could hire our new coach. I don't like the idea of handing the keys to the kingdom to one guy, say Bill Cowher unless he shows a willingness to work with people above. Coach/GM type guys just don't work in this league. But are we seriously gonna give this guy $7million per year. Then he'll want another $10-15million for his coaching staff. I doubt we'll spend that type of money.

Why don't we promote Bobby April and give him a shot. The guy built a dominate special teams unit and we know of another former special teams coach who seemed to do well.

For the entire season my wife and I have left our Bills flag proudly hanging from the front of our house. On Saturday night, some idiot came onto my porch and stole it! I live in Fayetteville, NC, so there aren't a whole lot of Bills supporters or haters. Since this is a military town, you can finds of every team, college and pro. In our neighborhood you see Redskin, Steeler and Panther flags hung out and the only people who have ever said anything are other WNYers. I am so pissed! no real point here I'm just venting but come on, why steal someone's flag?

What do we gain by firing yet another head coach? We gain nothing and we continue are downward trend. The Bills are NEVER gonna hire BC and we all know that. The Bills cannot afford to pay a head coach 8 million+ a year and that's what he's gonna command. Everyone needs to face the facts that we are gonna live and die with our young quarterback until he figures it all out. The last 4 games have proven that he can still be confused easily. Until he regains his confience, nothing is gonna change. The past 4 games have been hand mes. We handed the games over with tournovers, most of which can be laid squarely on the feet of Trent Edwards. That was the risk of playing a young, unproven player with potential. However, the lack of a running game and a defense that never takes the ball away doesn't help either. Firing the head coach isn't the answer, but on Monday, the coach should have pulled his QB and found out if Losman could win us that game.

Hardy is a rookie WR and the book on him was poor route running. That is exactly what we have. He'll learn and he'll become b etter at reading defensives, but successful rookie WR are a rare breed in the NFL. Though the past few years have provided several examples, the reality is that they tend to struggle with the adjustment. The Poz, OL and Trent comments seems dead on.

What I truly find funny is who they ended up hiring. I was not a big fan of the Dick Jauron hiring. However, it appears that Marv hired a guy much like himself. The no emotion front he puts one really seems to work but I think that hides a gifted coach and someone players really want to play for. At least I get that when listening to player interviews. Perhaps Marv's greatest gift when he returned was to bring good people to bring stability back to what had become a disfuncational family.

It seems that every week after the Bills play, people quickly focus in on the new Power Rankings. Every sports web site seems to produce one, CNNSI, ESPN, Fox, etc. And people truly get into these. My question is why do you care? They are just opinions and as we all know, opinion as like @$$holes, everyone has one. They truly mean nothing. If Buffalo played the Giants or Dallas do the power ranking affect the game result one bit. Does it matter who might be the best team in league or AFC in week three. I wish the Bills were ranked 10-15 in these polls. Perhaps staying under the radar would be best for the team. Eventually the young guys may start to believe the press clipping and then a big, unexpected loss comes. My goal for the Bills is A. make the playoffs. B. win the division C. win a playoff game D. win the conference E. get the city a championship. I could care less if we are ranked third, fifth ninth. If Tennessee, Denver, the sisters of the blind are ranked ahead or below us. None of it matters at all.

OLD SAYING....don't count your chickens before they are hatched. Every week the other team accually does show up and play. No games are really easy wins.
