In utopia we're all set but having to throw a monkey wrench into the system: you make the assumption that coachs and free agents actually want to come play in Buffalo and the past 5 years worth of history have shown us that they don't. Why would player x choise the Bills over another team? We're going to have to massively over pay a free agent to come here over a proven winner. Top end, big name free agents aren't even an option because they'll never select Buffalo over another distination. When was the last big name free agent for the Bills? Bryce Paup? And when was that, 1996!

No I want Chan Gailey to work with him so he can play Tight End. Like we have a real future qb on the roster. Wouldn't it make more sense to use the high picks on OL, DL, LB's instead of a QB? At least this way we could try to develop one and we'd have a couple of years with little to no risk.

Now that the Josh McDaniel experiment has ended so quickly in Denver, I was wondering if Tim Tebow might be available. Obviously since they spent a first round pick on him, they'd want something back, but perhaps a 4th and a conditional 2nd if he meets certain criteria in 2 years could be worked out. I'd love to see what Chan Gailey could do with him if given a couple of years. and no way I'd trade a 1st or 2nd rounder for him.

The Bills simply need to start working the draft better. Trade down and aquire lots of 3rd/4th and 5th round picks. They seem to do well here and fail with thearly round, expensive picks. I still say that drafting Spiller was a mistake because someone behind the Bills had to want him and think of the picks you could have aquired. Look at NE, they have 2 1st's, 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's this year! We need to work down the board and collect picks as we need to grab 3 LB, 2 DL, 2 OL and you always need to draft DB's. A QB we can groom wouldn't be a bad idea for a late 1st or mid 2nd round pick. Volume, I'd like to see 10/12 draft picks in 2011!

1 fewer than everyone else in the NFL. I want the team to have the 1st pick! Hopefully they'll win at least 1 game because they are playing too hard now not to win a game!

OK, let's say Frit keeps this up. What's the draft plan. Do we try to land the stud OL or DL? The draft had certainly better be heavy on DL and LB's cause that defense doesn't cut it! and no one has talked about our new RT, he certainly didn't look out of place out there today.

Are we to believe that the team brass is OK with the 3 QB on the roster? Brian Brohm obviously isn't the answer and we know that Friz is a career backup. Wouldn't it make sense to release Brohm and pick up Troy Smith. The guy is an upgrade and if thing go south with Edwards, we have something different to try before we pick 1st overall.

WHY WOULD HE SIGN WITH US? I honestly cannot see why a guy like this would sign here, unless he had no others options.

let's face it, we NEED the Bills to grow and mature as a team this but, be competitive but still produce a really poor record. We need the high draft choices to help increase the real talent level of the roster. AND cross our fingers, with a new CBA, and perhaps rookie salary cap, we can turn a 2 top 35/36 choices into additional picks giving us a greater chance to turn things around. Next year draft has to be all about OT's, DL, LB and maybe a QB!

Come on, it can't be a retractable dome, that doubles the cost of the stadium and right now the tax payers cannot afford 800-900 million stadium for 10 games. I just don't see how a new stadium helps the organization or is viable in the current market.

you know, with a new CBA coming and a rookie wage system being something that has to happen, the 1st pick might actually have trade value again. Since we have holes everywhere, it would be smart business to pass on Locker and try trade the pick a truck load of picks. Maybe then we can address a series of needs, such as OT's, pass rushers, better OLB and still grab another good QB a few picks back. I know Locker is the guy, with Mallet (??) from Arkansas and that guy from Stanford but if I had to take 1 QB or 3/4 other positions I'll take the latter and hope Levi develops. just a thought

That's all well and done but let's face some serious facts: 1. Our QB situation isn't pretty 2. Our OL is awful, ok we sat some of the starters but that shows our backups aren't really good 3. this team lacks depth....and with our injury record lack of quality backup is not good 4. Injuries yet again....wow is this team snake bite with injuries 5. Who's gonna catch the ball? 6. Pass rush, do we have one and how come Aaron Maybin struggles against the other guys backup? Yes it's the preseason and only 1 game but thee wasn't anything to suggest this team will do anything than what EVERYONE thinks it will do...completely suck

My mothers side of the family arived in PA in the 1680's and my father side in southern Ontario in the early 1700's, moving to WNY in early 1900's. I'm an American. I say we should be a new stadium right over the Niagara Gorge just beyond the Rainbow bridge. The open end of the stadium could face the falls. What an incredible view. Who cares about the environmental impact or the engineering nightmare of designing a stadium sitting on top of a 200+ foot deep gorge. Just span a few steel beams across the chasm and build on top of that! Come on, the cost would only be 1 - 1.5 billion. We can make the Canadians pay for half the stadium too, since about half would be on their side of the border!

why do we need a new stadium? sure its old but it's paid for. It has plenty of ammenitites, luxury suites, theater, club seats, lots of parking, quality practice area, I just don't see why a new one is needed! What new revenue would be added by spending 400-500 million if not more?
