I think the draft should work like the eliminator contest. Once you draft a kid your eliminated form drafting anyone else from that school for 5 years. Your also eliminated from picking that conference the rest of the draft. Just think of the undrafted free agent possibilities then! Only 32 kids from the SEC would get picked.

Bills with second toughest schedule in 2011
KRT88 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares about the projected schedule...here's a novel concept...get good enough to beat NE and the Jets and they wouldn't have a 50-14 combined record. Instead we lose 59-10 to these guys, or some pathic score because we draft like crap and can't close out games! -
The amazing part if how NE has won now but still collected the 3 extra top 3 round picks, planning for the future. Imagine, they might have the last pick of day #1 and the first pick of day #2 in the draft. Like they need 3 picks in the top 33, but they have it! Instead we draft a RB so we can trade the RB we already have for a 4th, when we drafted that guy, to replace the RB we had when we already had a good one then too (Henry to MaGahee to Lynch to Spiller). Why draft for needs when you can replace what you already have. and we are better off?

even simplier yet more complex. flip #3 pick to Arizona at #5 get an extra 2nd flip #5 pick to Dallas at #9 get an extra 2nd flip #9 to another team between 15-20, get another 2nd Now you have 4 #2 picks - find two team willing to dump a 1st in 2012 for a 2nd in 2011. Now you have 3 1st rounders for next year. Trade the 3 first rounders plus other stuff if needed to get the #1 pick! see simple!

good news we still can draft Andrew Luck
KRT88 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah we could do that but that's too obvious. My plan let's us try to win and then still get the reward. It would be hard for any team to pass up 3 first round pick plus a couple of other picks. -
good news we still can draft Andrew Luck
KRT88 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's how we get Andrew Luck. We trade down 3 times in the first round. to #7, to #11 and to somehwere in the 20's. We get an extra 2nd round pick each time, plus an extra 4th for the 3rd trade. The we trade the extra 2nd round picks for 1st next year. As a result, we would have 3 first round picks next year. Plus we try to make some other deals and pick up extra picks in the later rounds next year. We then trade out 3 first rounds, some other picks and player for the 1st overall pick see easy, then we draft Luck next year! -
Patrick Devlin the Delaware QB is very interesting then watch both sides of the line

Was it just me, I loved how Fairly blew the game up but exactly how many times did Oregon decide to not block a DL. Not sure about that skeme, but I'd be rethinking blocking patterns if that's a common play! Lots of players could look completely dominate if they went unblocked play after play!

Nnamdi Asomugha’s contract voids
KRT88 replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
please, why in the world would he want to sign here. The guy wants to win plus get paid. He was already getting paid big time but his agent still voided the deal. There is NO chance in hell the Bills would even consider the move and even a less a chance he'd sign with Buffalo. -
What About Another Bills Eagles Trade ??
KRT88 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll pass on someone else's leftover QB. Try to fill in some with UFA (if it happens) and use the draft to grab a QB to develop. -
Saints would have offered a 3rd round pick
KRT88 replied to zevo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
here was a concept...how about not trade the beast and using the #9 pick on a guy we needed. or trying to trade the pick...Denver had little trouble finding a partner with the #11 pick. nope we need to draft a running back to replace the running back who replaced back the running we drafted when we had Travis Henry. TD great pick with MaGahee, because all this mess started way back then. -
We are in the Catbird Seat at the 3 spot
KRT88 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been saying this for a week and been heavily critized because no one will trade up. The Bills may now be a gret position to draft a QB because they can move and not reach for one. Also, they may be alble to collect a few draft picks and grab an OL because most of the strong OL are rated 10-25, and if we could pull a Denver from last year and back down twice or more, we could gain some ammunition in having multple second and third round draft choices. I just hope the Bills brass works the draft board. It can be done as Denver showed last year and it teams fall in love with guys. Use that information to benefit the team. -
Best 2 round mock draft scenario i've seen.
KRT88 replied to joejoebills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This mock draft hear is far more likely to happen than what other people believe. The simple situation is that so many team need a QB, lots of teams will reach. When people respond to me by saying no one will want to trade into the #3 spot to get a QB, I say you're crazy. Half the teams picking in the top 12 need a QB, including ourself. However, are QB is servicable and we have so many other hole that if we skipped the position and taded out to gather pick, it makes sense. Teams will get depserate draft day for QB, the Bills are in a great position to move this pick. -
with the 3rd pick in the NFL Draft.....

Carolina is NOT gonna trade this pick! move on! -
Professional's Opinion on Luck Per ESPN Radio
KRT88 replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this information Carolina doesn't know? I seriously doubt it and as a result, they will not trade this pick. There roster sucks as well and they need to start somehwere, why would they choice to not start here? Unless there's a car accident, the Bills have ZERO shot at Andrew Luck! -
But the QB position is one where teams panic and always reach. That's where the # of teams picking vs. the number of QB available comes into play. I think someone will reach for the QB, they always do!

looking at this years draft, looks like as many as 8 teams picking in the top 12 could be looking to draft a QB. With 5 guys potentially getting picked in round 1; Luck, Newton, Mallett, Gabbert and Locker, the Bills could be a great position to trade down and get some serious return if things fall correctly. 1. Panthers, 3. Bills, 4. Bengals, 5. Cardinals, 7. 49ers, 8. Titans, 10. Redskins, and 12. Vikings all must address their QB situation and if any one of them falls in love with Locker, mallett, newton, etc, we could demand a 1st next year plus perhaps a 2nd this year, and maybe more. If I'm the Bills brass I'm trying to move this pick and grab a DL/OT or LB after moving down. If we could get 4/5 picks in the top 100 instead of 3, we could start to plug some hole. Perhaps a team would be willing to trade a player on their roster plus a pick too giving us a veteran to plug in. Any way you look at it the Bills should be trying to parlay this 3rd pick into multple players. Even getting Cincinnati or Arizona to panic could yeild a nice return. I for one am hope we finally use other teams wants to our advantage. This should have been done last year as other teams wanted Spiller and we could have plugged several holes. However, I'm thinking far to logically here.
-
Amen here, Green is definately cut but the trade down idea is one I very much like. Arizona and Washington are two teams who will be desperate for a QB. Get some real value with this pick by parlaying it into several picks.
-
Moving up even two spots will take a huge offer. It's not like carolina doesn't need a QB either. Please, there's no way if Luke is in this draft carolina deals the pick. Simply no way! Plus remember the new CBA rules will effect this year draft class regardless, so as a result, the pick becomes even more valuable because you don't have to pay the guy 70 million guarenteed. If Buffalo was smart, they'd try to move down and gather up picks!

with the 3rd pick in the NFL Draft.....
KRT88 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Her's an idea...work the freaking draft and gain extra picks! We need some draft pick volume! I say trade down with Arizona. Let them take Mallet and we could pick up an extra 3rd and 4th round pick. If you love Cam Newton, trade down again and try to get him around 9-10. This year should be all about the front seven on defense and the OL. We need some big time help on the right side of the OL and some nasty run stopping DL, speed LB's. Though I'd love to grab a QB I'd OK if Fitz stays. Though why not Kllen Moore of Boise State in the 4th or 5th? He's undersized but a gamer. -
Official Game Thread: Bills at the Jets

I don't think we need to hope for a loss, looks like they are taking care of that in there own! Go Denver!!!! Hope Tebow gains us a higher draft pick! -
one of you "WE GOTTA LOSE THIS WEEK!" people
KRT88 replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wel normally I'd agree but all the experts say that with the new CBA coming, a rookie wage scale will be in place, this would put the Bills in a great position to trade the pick and collect extra picks. The higher you pick, the more likely you are get a kings randsom for the traded pick. Of couse, that assumes the Bills brass would be smart enough to deal the pick and we all know how smartly they work the draft, based on past results. -
Tentative 2011 Opponents (Assuming there's a 2011 season)
KRT88 replied to calbear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
how can there be rumors, the league doesn't start the scheduling process until February? -
As it stands now the Bills pick #3 because Cincinnati is the only team in the league that has played a tougher schedule. However, who is Denver picking at #2? They're not going after a QB and no way they let Bowers pass them, unless they trade the pick to a team who need a QB. And all this depends on Luck being in this draft!
-
I a huge Bills fan and I still remember the first game my dad took me to in 1978 (a 24-10 win vs. the Baltimore Colts and I think it was Sept. 24). Every week a cheer hard for my beloved Bills and I want them to win, but com Sunday, they don't need to win. If the lose they will likely have the 3rd pick in the draft (Cinicainnati has played a tougher schedule). If Denver we to win, they could end up with the 2nd pick. Normally, I'd say who cares but let's be real, we've seen this team give it there best shot all season. They given some good teams there best shot and come up short. All year we haven't been able to stop anyone from running the ball. Defensively, they do not have the personal to run a 3-4, and their LB simply aren't good enough. A win on Sunday could see the team drop 7 or 8 spots in the draft. Is that really worth it! We've stunk most of the year so let's get something out of it! There's always some real quality in the draft, and if we can't settle on one guy, maybe we can use the pick to entice a team into trading picks with us, giving us some volume in terms of draft picks. No one player will make a massive difference with this team so if we can't get a franchise QB or a real dominate pass rusher, use the high pick to try to collect a bunch of picks! Washington, as well as others may be desperate for a QB.
