Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
KRT88 replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are the Bills buying this guy a house? Can they do that? Seriously, this will head into a third day! Has anyone ever heard of something like this in FA? -
Really Denver dumps Tebow for a 4th? And why? Really why should we get him? The guy can't throw the football!

Report: Dolphins will go after P. Manning
KRT88 replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dude, you certainly have a hardon for Tannehill. looks like you need a hj to knock that thing down because the Bills aren't drafting a QB early when they have so many hole that NEED filling. -
Why would Mario Williams sign with the Bills? Houston has far greater upside and others will bid w/ better historical track records of being committed to win! We have to start winning before we can attract "big game" FA.

Well espn reported this morning that he turned the job down and is staying with Oregon. Guess he's not running from the NCAA just yet!
-
perhaps we have Pete Carroll part 2, he needs to escape the investigators before the stuff hits the fan. You gotta believe that there's more than just the uniforms to attract all these recruits to Oregon.
-
which is one of the reasons why they draft so poorly. Extra picks let you miss a little If we could move down 7/8 spots and pick up an extra 3rd this year and a 3rd next year, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I wouldn't have moved down last year but we always pick 9-10-11-12-13 and look at what those spots have done for us. Grab the extra picks whenever possible. I'm sure Cleveland is really crying about having those extra Atlanta picks this year!

Orson Charles or Dwayne Allen anyone?
KRT88 replied to BillsNeedaQBin2012's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love if we drafted Dwanye Allen but that's because my wife was his high school Guidance Councilor and he comes back to visit her once or twice a year. He's a good kid, worked hard academically in school and athletically, the kids a beast. He looks bigger than 6-4 265 when you stand next to him but then again, so did Bruce Smith and I stood next to him at the airport. I'd love to see him and Scott Chandler on the field at the same time athletic fast TE combined with a monster physical target, good luck defenses, and then add Jackson and Spiller on the field at same time with Stevie Johnson, that would be tough to stop. I will say that Dwanye's not a very strong inline blocker but he's willing to crackback and get physical, needs to work on route running and getting more consistent. Just watch the orange Bowl and you'll see too many mental errors. Here's hoping because he said he'd give my wife a signed jersey if Buffalo drafts him! -
Clemson TE Dwayne Allen...OOOPS!!!
KRT88 replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My wife was his guidance councelor in HS and I can say the kids family is well off. -
great comment! you're my kind of fan

wow people want the immature player back who hurts the team over and over again! shaken my head! The guys out partying during the week instead of waiting until the off season when far less people would care! He'll get paid somewhere but I don't want the immature kid on the team since he hasn't shown the ability to learn from hi past mistakes!

Fire Chan.... Hire Wannstedt

really so they won every year in the last 40? No Cowher had losing years and got contract extentions because that ownership believes in the long run, not the short term reactionary crap our owner does. In 1998 they went 7-9 and then 6-10 the next year and he signed an extention. In 2002 they went 10-5-1 but followed it up with a 6-10 record, did he get fired? After Chuck Knoll, the Steelers won 1 SB under Cowher in 15 years and made 1 other SB appearence, they made the playoffs 10 times but what have we gained from 5 HC in 12 years? Then again our owner shoved a great GM out the door after two Super Bowl appearences. -
Proposed rule change, what do you think?
KRT88 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
two rules I want changed: 1. pass interference needs to have two levels: A. spot of the foul penalty for really obvious calls - intentional B. a 15 yard version for those iffy calls - non-intentional (I know the definition of intentional comes into play but we've all seen exactly what I'm talking about) 2. the 5 yard and an automatic first down for a defensive holding/hands to the face. That is such a harsh penalty. I saw a call in a college game that confused me - forgot the game - may have been Western Michigan/Purdue. there was an illegal shift on the offense but as the play developed there was a nasty facemask penalty on the defense - the guys head almost 180'd. The penalties offset. I would have thought the 15 yard penalty cancelled the 5 yard penalty. -

yeah let's fire yet another head coach because that has worked so well for us! Did you realize that in my 41 year lifetime the Pittsburgh Steelers have had 3 head coaches! 3 - we've had more since this century started! that is one of the main reasons why the Buffalo Bills have become a joke franchise! Chan's on the right track, he needs better talent and a lot greater depth! 17 guys on IR and 3 of our key OL certainly don't help the situation, but injuries are not the enttire story. We do need to get much better on defense especially with rushing the QB and stopping the run. Our defense doesn't create enough 3 and outs! and the offense needs to be more consistent! However, changing the head coach yet again would set the franchise back! to the Fire Chan people - go jump into the Niagara just above the falls! -
7.5 million per makes no sense in the NFL! why do teams pay WR but they are ever so reluctant to pay RB's? Fred Jackson can't get 5m per on a short extention and he touches the ball 20-25 times a game but a guy who touches it 6/7 wants and will likely get 7+m per year! Why do WR get paid better than really good RB? Someone explain this to me please!
-
why would we have stormed the field in 88'? I don't remember that but in the season opner in 1980 we did after a 17-7 win following an 0-20 1970's against the Dolphins!
-
so the all time leader for TE in receptions, yards and TD's doesn't belong in the hall, plus he has three super bowl rings! OK he doesn't deserve to be in. Please go buy a clue!

If I was a small market owner and the player keep winning in court, thus the players get to keep tyhing the way they are, this is exactly what I'd do. They players think they run over the league, then simply disolve the league. If the players can pull same crap on paper with their union, then why can't the owners do the exact same thing with league? They own the business and together the 32 of them make up the enity known as the NFL. From a fans point of vgiew it would suck, but from a business point of view, use whatever tool you must to get what you want. Otherwise, there’s no reason for the players to sit down and truly negotiate, as according in the courts no lockout means they players can simply keep things as they currently are.

Torell Troup, Kellen Heard, Michael Jasper
KRT88 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you draft the guy, you put ion the practice squad and hope he turns into a player in a year or two. OMG the guys going off over a 7th round draft pick gotta play goalline defense sometime even a team as good as ours will face a 3rd and goal and 1 sometime during the season -
did I just read that two times? did I just read that two times? and exactly who has a hold of the crack pipe oh wait I should add a couple of exclamation points it will make my point sound better OLB is a need but so is ILB, TE, OL, DB, QB - you don't miss the playoff 12 staright years and have limited hole. Trade back and try to pick up another draft pick.
-
You know who benefits most from yesterday's pick?
KRT88 replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
always find it funny when fans start using football terms as if they are a coach. In simplier terms - you don't want Kyle Williams to play DE in the 3-4. -
Players we should have drafted
KRT88 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and pof course coaching has nothing and I mean nothing to do with success and failure of a NFL draft pick. It's all just who you are and where you were picked! can we please stop beating this dead horse to death again and again and again. Perhaps Ralph shouldn't have fired Bill way back in 92/93, or Wade Phillips which started a revolving door at the head coach position. But what's done is done, so move on! -
I have both of these on my wall. My dad made wood plaques out of these! Sometimes I look at them for the Bills memories and sometimes i look at them so i can remember him. Those 2 SI covers mean a lot to me!

I doubt that would be allowed but I just looked up the Larry Bird thing and it said "because of the NBA's junior eligibility rule" meaning the league had a rule saying this could be done. Then the league saw the issue and changed the rule after this happened. Plus if the Bills were to to try this, I would bet they'd have to sue the league. Once that happened, it would be a major stp forward in the doing away of the draft altogether. Rookie would say, what's the point of declaring, they can pick me anyway. Some lawyer would sue the league and end the draft so rookie have greater rights. I wouldn't want to be the one that opened that can of worms. but correct me if I'm wrong, Luck was a redshirt softmore this year. Meaning he has 2 more years of college eligibility left, so he could simply stay in school after next year simply because he oesn't want to go to Buffalo. I find a better idea than this.

Which players do you NOT want to see selected at #3 overall?
KRT88 replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you said it! If they draft a DB I'll kick my TV in and if they want a QB, trade down...twice (at least) I'd prefer the shore up the front seven or try to fix the O-line
