I'm like you, I wasn't happy but everything I read is significantly positive. The QB really seem to like the guys style of coaching, the players talk about his candor with communication, he comes across as a positive guy who is willing to gt creative. The whole off season program seems to be about gaining comfort with the new system and gaining trust for the guys you play with. Those who have jumped on board will likely have a chance to see signifcant playing time. Though I think we lack talent and the o-line situation scares me, if we win 5/6 games with this talent he'll have proved he knows what he's doing.

I support them big tim since the mid 70's but I still can see reality. When they lose I'll be pissed and when they win, I'm thrilled, but we simply do not have the talent and that REALITY not the fantasy world some of the "fans" live in!
-
playoffs? are you serious? this team may need a miricle to win 4 games! take the rose colored glasses off and see what we really have - no O-line and a brand new 3-4 defense wherein the first year switching over is almost NEVER pretty.

Tom Brady was a sixth rounder...how good he be? It doesn't matter where you were drafted, it matter what you have done since you became a pro. Apparently he's enough though his work ethic is still a concern

Guys, this starting front-five is a disaster
KRT88 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hey being a realist is not allowed on this board. I'm sure by now a half-dozen people have already bit youe head off even though you seems to be 100% correct. Shame on you for a honest evaluation of what appears to be the worst OL in the NFL (by a long margin) -
"All pro is what we're going for..."
KRT88 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
and that changes the fact that on paper this team still sucks! We have a completely unproven coaching staff and how many players being asked to play out of position? there's a difference between a realist and idiot. The realist see what is truly there, the idiot doesn't and let their rose colored glasses see what they want. Wake up and look at what this franchise has become....a completely joke that can't do anything right! -

where do these comments comes from? This team is awful, top to bottom, so one of our QB plays well and we get a LT from someone else and we're competitive....based on what? We have no idea if this coaching staff knows what they are doing. We have no WR to speak of. We have 1 football and 3 RB fighting for it, we have a brand new defensive skeem coming in and do we have the personal to actually run the 3-4. Can our OLB actually play the position since they were all DE in a 4-3? So many questions and a what if leads to, can we make the playoffs? The real question is can we prevent yet another losing season? Can we win a game within our division? Can we play in a meaningful game come November, let alone December. And lastly, does anyone really think the Bills will trade for Gaither? If we do, I bet we finish with one of the 3 worst records in the league and wasted a super high 2nd rounder. Offer a 4th in 2011 and a 3rd in 2012 that can be upgraded to a 2nd. -
I'd rather a slower WR in the slot that can run route and has great hands. sorry but Parrish pretty much sucks a WR and Evans has done little without help and who's his help this year. Sure Spiller out of the backfield will be fun but if we're always throwing to him, isn't that exactly what captain checkdown always did, jump it to the RB. scoring points will be a serious problem for the Bills this year

Steve Young....OMG try John "I'm coming back into coaching soon and therefore I cannot dislike or critisize a single player in this entire draft" Gruden. He was a complete joke. He loved every quarterback. I want all of these guys on my team...of course you do. seriously his love fest for all players drafted was idiotic. NFL network was better but Dieon Sanders has to go.
-
OK, based on what I see on this roster, I have no doubt that the 2010 season is gonna be seriously ugly. 2-14 or even worse. Offensively, I hope this coaching staff has a bunch of magic tricks it can deploy. We have a make shift O-line, no depth what-so-ever at WR, a running back issues (there's only 1 ball) and of course, a storm front is coming, quarterback situation. Don't see how this unit is going to produce points consistently. Defensively, your guss is a good as mine. This unit could be anywhere but I doubt they'll lead the league in fewest yards allowed, so no offensive plus a good defense equals ugle, but imagine if the defense is poor or downright awful. As a result, I'd say the Bills are big time contenders for the top pick next and thus a shot at Jake Locker. Do we start the countdown now, or wait until September and really see how bad I feel its gonna be.

Is CJ Spiller sending a coded message to the Bills?
KRT88 replied to Bad Lieutenant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why would anyone in the right mind, who has paid attention to the NFL over the past 10 year send a coded message to the arm pit franchise of the NFL. Seriously, do you think players REALLY want to get drafted by Buffalo? That's are biggest problem problem right now is that everyone views us as Oakland east with a crappy economy and a decaying society. This problem can get solved if we win over the next few years but right now, being a Bills fan is depressing because nothing being done points to anything but another long horrible season. -
Someone please explain this to me
KRT88 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
perhaps route running level of competition faced types of routes player ran in college willing to go over the middle catches with vs catches with body quickness shiftiness (is that a real word?) RAC could be lots of factors -
What do you want the Bills to do with the #9 PICK?
KRT88 replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
someone has got to desire CJ Spiller. Find them and trade the pick. -
This wasn't a mock draft it was a tabulation of percentages on where players are projected to get picked based on 400+ mock draft. Berry is projected to go #5 in 36% of the mock drafts he's also projected to go #8 in 35% of the drafts. As of right now, 39% of the mock drafts say Buffalo's taking Clausen at #9

We need an elite LT and the Redskins need picks
KRT88 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Redskins need picks? We need picks, we are awful and hav holes everywhere. oh great we draft a OT at #4, pay him a ton and he's unmotivated like Fat Guy Williams. Or he's good and we have a LT with no QB. The Bills need to trade, the other direction, accumulate picks, bot give them away moving up to have to massively overpay a guy! Stay at #9 and pick Clausen or trade down and address a series of needs. -
OMG, was this guy doing drugs or did he just pick names out of hate randomly every now and again?
-
How many teams draft after the Bills? 23? So none of those teams covet a player in this draft and would be willing to trade up to get him? You know this for a fact? There's almost always trades available if you are willing to deal and you feel you get good return. I want to see the Bills trade down several times if possible and collect 2nd and 3rd round picks. I wouldn't do it just for the sake of doing it, I would if we could aquire the extra picks this team needs. There's lots of quality available in rounds 2 and 3, so why get 3 of the top 75 player when it's possible to get 6 or 7 of the top 100. Perhaps one of two teams feel they are that one player away from making the playoffs or contending, however we are not that franchise. Nevertheless, when pick #9 comes along, I'd take the entire 10 minutes to work the phones hard. If you have to make the pick, get a big time priority need, QB, NT, OT. Otherwise bail, even moving down 4 or 5 picks and getting an extra 3rd rounder would be better than picking a RB or WR.
-
here's what I don't understand....the Bills have holes everywhere but fans don't like the idea of trading down. The draft has good quality players everywhere not just in the top 10. This isn't the NBA draft. There's no 1 player that makes me have to keep that #9 pick. The Bills to collect 2nd and 3rd round pick and try to get 5, 6, 7 of them so they can fill some of their holes. What good's a LT do if we have no QB? What's good's a QB do without a LT? OK we get both but we have no NT or OLB's (you guys who didn't play DE for years in the NFL). What about a TE? WR? backup OL? Come on trading down is the only solution for this year. Everything else leads to more of the same.

What about a trade with Houston at 20
KRT88 replied to billsfansince1964's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What, the Bills have holes everywhere. You want one guy at #9 instead someone at 20, with 2 additional players to follow? This is one of the deepest drafts in years and there a solid players drafted all over the place. We missed at #11 last year and hit with the next 3 in the 1st and 2nd round. If this deal was offered I would do it, then I'd try to trade down from #20 as well. -
There is NO WAY you'd get the #31 pick for Kyle Williams. You might get their 2nd, but I would seriously doubt that. Try a 5th and a conditional 3rd for next year.
-
though I on't agree with the idea here, i do like the trade down idea. collect 2nd and 3rd round picks if at all possible. This is the fastest way to collect talent in a deep draft. We have needs all over the place, imagine if you could move: from 9 to 14 and get a 3rd from 14 to 23 and get a 2nd and 5th from 23 to 28 and get a 3rd from 28 to 36 and get a 3rd now you've taken 1 pick and turned it into 5 sure it would be difficult but other teams can do it...Nix should keep his options open.
-
Had my Bills jacket on and she came up to me and asked me if I was from Buffalo. "My brother played for the Bills...Josh Reed." oh ya, heard we just released him "Ya he got a call from New England this morning. He could sign there later today." are you kidding...I can so see him playing the Wes Welker type role, scoring TD against us!
-
exactly what is the point of wasting a draft pick on a WR when th team desperately needs 2 OT and a QB just be functional? Add to the fact that he's not gonna play for us and if he gets traded here, he'll be unhappy and no perform...oh wait the lack of a QB and 2 OT will assure he won't be able to perform regardless of his mood!
-
what a massive mistake this would be the Bills are several players away from being a contender not 1, we need to TRADE DOWN...gather extra picks. 3 2nd's 3/4 3rd's getting us 6/7 players in the top hundred. this way our depth is stronger and we can throw waves of players at opponents. 1 great DE will not improve us that much, and I do not see Suh as a NT, which is definately a position we need.
-
NO NO NO he's far too slow you can't have slow LB in the new 3-4 were gonna play
