So I decided to buy a dolphins jersey....
KRT88 replied to HeadInTheClouds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only a traitor would ever buy a Dolphins jersey...period. Perhaps you should buy one withh A..hole written on the back instead. -
Go listen to some Aerosmith because you need to 'Dream On'. They have been planning to replace the Peace Bridge for almost 20 years now. The new Bridge was suppose to be ready for the 75th anniversary of that link and I believe that was back in 96'. It would take them years to agree to build a new stadium, another half-decade to pick a location and then the rest of our lives to figure out how to fund such a project. The next new Bills Stadium will likely be on the northern shores of Lake Ontario. A new Stadium in Buffalo will never happen!

does this really matter? Football is all about execution and if we can execute on offense better than last year, convert a few third downs, defensively get off the field on third down then we control the game. going 2-2, 3-1 or 4-0 against these guys means nothing if we can't go 9-5 against the rest of the schedule and going 1-1 against NE would go a long way in helping the Bills push for the playoffs. One thing about Chad going to Miami. Now the Dolphins will know more about the jets offensive system.

I got a Mike Williams jersey you can have cheap! seriously, I do... another reason why I don't buy jerseys anymore...I'm the kiss of death.
-
why does this add fuel to the fire...Peters show up, starting working and then things will get done. Be a jerk, sit out and the Bills aren't gonna lift a figer to help you. His agent is a idiot for giving him this advise.

Your first trip to Ralph Wilson (I still call it Rich stadium)
KRT88 replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1978 Bills vs Baltimore Colts. It was a beautiful September day and Curtis Brown returned a 102 (or 104) yard kickoff return for a TD staright at us in the scoreboard endzone. I was 9 years old and their were plenty of other visits to Rich in the future with my dad. Great memories and when i think about them I get a tear in my eye knowing how my dad's alzheimers has begun to steal these memories from him. I believe the Bills won 24-10. -
voted other how about at least 6 other treams will have better records. That answer was simple enough god I hate these people that want to place blame for every little thing rather than accept others are better. Be honest, last year, what act of god was really needed for the 30th ranked offense and 31st ranked defense to make the playoffs? Bad weather aside in Cleveland, we were not better than the Browns and did not deserve to be in playoffs. Hopeful, this byear the team will take a giant leap forward on both sides of the ball and score some TD rather than kick FG. If that happens and we miss the playoffs I'll observe and determine a reason why we failed to make it.

Professional Sports on the Rise and Fall
KRT88 replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree10,000% is the boring statement. If you watch a game with passion fans or even better attend one with the fanatics then you get hooked. Back at the 94' world cup, sitting with the Dutch fans in DC hooked me. Those people were insane. My buddy and I were the only people in the entire section not wearing orange and they created such a fun atmosphere, singing and drinking and yelling. Soccer will never be one of the big 4, but it is growing in popularity and it offers a nice secondary option, for those of us you think the NBA is as exciting as folding socks. Could anyone actually hit a open 15 foot jumpo shot? Sorry can't practice that skill, it won't be on sportscenter. -
making 9.75 million per game in Toronto, the Bills should redo their deal and play 2 games per year up in Canada. Hey, the game is all about revenue and if this is a way we can make extra money and keep the team competitive, go for it. I know that will not a be popular idea but what will Dallas generate in their new stadium?

spoken like the true football guy you apparently are not. Please, your a fan, stop acting like you know any more than anyone. Let the professionals do their job! -
4th Round Selection: Reggie Corner CB, Akron

http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/reggie-corner?id=4451 sounds like another good pickup for the Bills. You can never have enough good DB's and these guys come and go frequently. -
I agree where on our defense would Connor play. As a Weak side LB he would struggle, we seem to have a MLB so why would have grabbed him? Would not have fit here.
-
3rd Round Selection: Chris Ellis DE Virginia Tech
KRT88 replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the pick, he fits and need and has some talent. We need to coach this kid up and get his effort level to be more consistent but everyone at this stage has some flaws. Seemed like a good value pick. -
Allow Me To Be The First To Do So.....
KRT88 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you seriously need to switch to decaf. the experts and the fans seem to like the picks so far and since the team was 30th in offense and 31st in defense and still was 7-9, says something about the coaching. oh ya, we were also first in players in IR last year. If the Bills can score more TD's this year they will contend for a playoff spot because the defense will be better. -
ESPN's draft coverage was atrocious

I popped over to the NFL network and i thought their coverage was better. -
2nd Round Selection: James Hardy WR Indiana
KRT88 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he has zero downs in the NFL and some fool is calling him our Randy Moss? Please, he's our big, raw, with lots of potential receiver. He's out Malcolm Kelly or Limas Sweed, because all three have done the exact same thing. ZIPPO. call me in 3 years on the Randy Moss crap good first two picks, two needs hit and the value of both seemed to be good. No way I though we would have had out choice of receivers in round two, but we had three or four choices and Hardy was the guy. I personally like DRC and Sweed better but I am satisfied. -
Why should he? He has made a fortune for himself doing what he does and his job will NEVER go away. Would you give up his high paying position for one with real risk? Only a fool would make that career change.

NFL owners: Cap not absolutely necessary
KRT88 replied to buffalobillsfootball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just imagine The Dallas Cowboys in their soon-to-be-open new stadium without a salary cap? The New York Yankees midwest. Football would become baseball, we would have teams like Florida and KC spending small amounts and teams like Boston and NY spending 200+ million a year. Dallas likely earns $250 million a year in revenue, and they have profited for years, Jerry Jones could simply spend as a hobby for 5-10 years because "he wants to win." Football is great because at the start of the season you don't really know who will make the playoffs. Anyone want to bet that Boston and the Yankees don't make the post season this year in MLB? So the other 3 teams in the AL East are playing the season why? Anyone want to see that in football? Ralph's suggestion that the players get 100% of the shared revenue is better than the current 59% of all revenue system. -
Think about it, Kelly, Sweed and Thomas are all basically equal. There does not appear to be one WR worth the #11 pick. Why not move back 8-12 picks, still get one of those guys, grab and extra pick. Now you more amo to move up in round 2 or 3. If we could take the #11 pick and package that into 4 or 5 guys in the top 3 round, we could really fill holes. The Bills are gonna need some athletes to play on special teams. Maybe they only nab 1 or 2 starters but we have the firepower and perhaps the leverage we need to use it. If the opportunity never presents itself, then fine.

no they don't! St. Louis has the last pick in the draft.
-
I don't see how. The compensation picks can't be traded and the Bills pick second to last. the last pick is # 252 ST. Louis. Buffalo picks 251.
-
I'd love to see Buffalo and Dallas hook up on a trade: Buffalo sends: 1st (11) 1250pts 3rd (72) 230 pts 7th (224) 2 pts ---------------------- 1482 pts Dallas sends 1st (22) 780 1st (28) 660 5th (163) 26.2 pts ----------------------- 1466.2 pts Buffalo would still have a strong choice at both CD and WR with this move plus we'd still have 10 overall picks. Not sure if Dallas has anyone targeted at around 11. Certainly they reports say they love McFadden but no way he's around at #11. If so, I'm sure a deal like this would go down.
