If Kiper knew anything he'd be an NFL GM
KRT88 replied to SnakeOiler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He certainly knows how to make money! Why would you want to be an NFL GM with all the stress when you can make more doing what he does? Exactly who is smarter? -
nice language I like the picks but I feel they are both bad value picks. Both could have been had several picks laters. I like the Bills trading up to get a DT they think is a good pick but moving up 16 picks? Heavy price, he better be really good!

This draft Is a total bust EsPN Is Laughing at us

I have a life and family, I do not follow the draft like some of do. I heard he had issues, that all. ESPN reported three teams made offers for the #8 pick, I assume one of them offered a third, why not move back? -

ESPN radio was ripping the Bills and I agree. We could have traded back and picked up an extra third and still gotten the Safety and then traded up to the DT but trade up into the early 2nd round. Both players were bad picks for the value. They both may be good football players but bad draft value. When they trade up I was thinking Winston Justice, but apparently those character issues are big! -
I'm looking at them thinking I have seen these before and yes, they look like LSU! good call. they seem ok to me

I do not think any of those answers really fit for me as I would still watch but I would definately lose my passion for the game. 46+ years of history should just be thrown away because others are greedy. The entire siutuation is a shame and it shows that the big guys do not care about the game.

why not Moulds and a 7th for a 4th or Moulds and a 6th for a 3rd. try a few ideas out. This way they keep the same # of picks and the Bills are happier. -
Losman, I want him to take the job and show everyone he can play if given a chance.
-
You are dreaming if you think any team will give ua s 3rd for Moulds. He is old and his capnumber is huge, though it would be less for anyone who gets him, you are still talking 7 million. Look at the quality players traded for almost nothing. We'll be lucky if we can trade him at all, no way we get anything higher than a 6th!
-
Changing the coaching staff because from what I just read about WM, the players did not lwant to play for MM and co.

JP is going to win the job this summer!

Why do we even care. They'll just restructure six more contracts and be fine, just like they always do. What the Skins do is look at contracts and say, ok, we owe you $1.5 million this year, we'll convert $1 million to a signing bonus. The player get guarented money and the team gains some cap room. Do the Skins end up with dead money, yep, but they don't care, so why should we!

I should have been a backup quarterback! A million bucks to sit on the bench and watch film. What a tough life.

By signing two RFA to offer sheets it seems to me like the Bills are doing the contract work for other teams. Chicago is likely to match Idonije offer sheet because it is not an outrageous amount. The Wells offer seems to be a bit more complex and the Bills may have offered more than the Cards are willing to spend. However, wouldn't it was been a smarter move to try to work out a trade for these two players first. The Bills may have explored this avenue but if you are going to give away draft picks for FA I would have spent more cash and made stronger efforts for some of the UFA out there. Also, with Reed back (why I have no clue), Parrish on board, Davis signed and Evans going no where, why are the Bills acting like they are going to keep Moulds? I would like him around for another year or two but it seems painfully obvious the Bills are gonna cut him, show some respect for a guy who busted his butt for 10 years and let him have a shot at getting a deal with another team. Otherwise just announce we are not going release him and back it up by guaranteeing his money. Why is this team not trying to sign Tank Williams? I do not see lots of promise at the safety position and I do not want Cory Wire opening the season as a starter!

I was waiting to see Vince Youngs name listed next to the Bills.

bills should sign with an american based automaker
KRT88 replied to bigbillsfan12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My mother had a Honda Accord and it was the best car she ever had. I loved driving it. Her current Toyota Camery isn't half bad either. Maybe if the American car companies were more concerned about quality over quanity, especially back in the 1980's when they blew the car market wide open for Toyota, Honda and the like, we wouldn't have to waste space on football oard talking about crap like this! I'll take the Jap car because they are better. If i had the $$$ I'd buy a BMW or Benz but as long as I have to work for my cash, I'll buy the sure thing! -

funny my old Toyota was made in Indiana but my friends Chevy was made in Mexico. Exactly who is taking US jobs? -
I can't argue with you there. great and nobel idea.

Len Pasquerelli said this morning on WGR that Ralph Wilson is his new hero because: 1. he was 100% right, the new CBA is a bad deal for low revenue teams 2. It was too complex and explained for too fast, he heard others owners did not understand it but did say so. 3. The low revenue teams, like Jax. just folded and gave in. Only Wilson and Brown held true. Shame in six years the NFL will be in bad shape.
-
I am listen to the web cast of Len Pasquarelli talk about Pickett and wow, he is high on him! If we could sign him, where do we head in the draft? Th he ia talking a $10 million signing bonus.

Where are the Redskins finding salary cap room? I know you can be creative but please, I thought they were in cap hell.
-
but you don't know how the contract is set up. could very easily have lots of backloaded money with a contract that could look like this: 2.5 SB 0.65 1st cap 0.5 + 0.65 = 1.15 0.90 2nd cap 0.5 + 0.90 = 1.40 1.15 3rd cap 0.5 + 1.15 = 1.65 2.00 4th cap 0.5 + 2.00 = 2.50 2.80 5th cap 0.5 + 2.80 = 3.30 Those cap figures for the 1st three years are not bad and if he sucks you cut him after two or three years and move on.

We should get Russian Billionaire, Roman Abromovich to buy the Bills. He is worth around 14 billion and he spends money like water on his soccer club in England, Chelsea. He has spent over a 1/4 of a billion in the last 2 1/2 years on buying players, and Chelsea is on the verge of winning their second straight EPL title. He also admits he didn't know all that much about the sport when he invested. All we need to do is convince him he'll make money by spending money.
