We gave Blichick some easy wins when he was pounding us with someone like Lagarrette Blunt, and we had no answer. We should at least have some different tools allowing for more options.
-
So, the bottom line right now is the Bills have taken 3 DL, 3 CB’s and a TE. No WR (yet) but they knew what positions they wanted to retool! I get a bit lost in the moment, but that says it all.

Bills 5th Round Pick (#2) : Jackson Hawes - TE - Georgia Tech
Augie replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, the video above says “Georgia Tech basically used him as an extra Tackle”. That was the first thing I thought of. EDIT: He’s not the first guy we drafted where NFL.COM said his tape was better from 2023. I don’t know what that means, if anything. 🤷♂️ . -

I hope he can learn the playbook. Put one on the Greyhound for him! -
Bills 5th Round Pick (#1) : Jordan Hancock - CB - The Ohio State

How fitting! We should be due for a pleasant surprise. -
We’re a generous bunch, should we start a fund or something? I don’t know what really happened, but I did not like the accusations. We sit here in our chairs and have opinions about people we’ve never met. Even the armchair guys who are super into this and very knowledgeable never get to meet the people involved. What kind of guy is he? It’s like the movie Draft Day, why didn’t your teammates come to your 21st birthday party? Stuff like that matters, especially to the Bills, it seems.

We met with him a bunch of times. I wonder if at some point he’s worth a shot, or if he’s just off our board.

I don’t mind for a second the message Shedeur received, and if I’m a Browns fan I’m loving the value. He could possibly be their guy, and they got him in the 5th.
-
How sad. I guess he doesn’t get to say “No, that’s not the team I want to go to.”

Have you ever walked thru a car wash? I bet that’s a good way for you to get started.

Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky

I wonder if he gets traded for some pick down the road, like some of the guys on the OL when we upgraded there. -
OK, I think we just about have enough DL for now, unless they are planning on making that room bigger. MUCH bigger.
-
So, from that list is there somebody in particular you think might make it to us that is a fit?

Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina
Augie replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
We can always argue about “which guys”, but I like the emphasis on winning the LOS. That was a serious problem on offense for years, but now the OL is a strength. I’d like to think this emphasis on DL is going to pay off in a similar fashion, especially if some of the new coaching additions can make a difference. We eventually got the OL right, now it’s time for the DL. -

Oddly, Joe Marino said on a podcast we actually gained some draft capital with the trade up, the equivalent of a 5th rounder, iirc. He also said they hope to beef up Carter and try him at 1T. Will that work? I have no idea. 🤷♂️ One before I die, but that one didn’t count because I didn’t like the way it happened. -

Well, that’s ESPN for you! -

So, what was the deal and when do we pick again? Thanks -

You won’t be fired if it doesn’t work out. -
From a production standpoint, as much as I dislike ESPN, they are doing a much better job with the audio. NFLN has too much crowd noise blocking out the voices for me.

I think the wrist injury was a real thing and it will have an effect on how we perceive the whole situation. They talked about surgery, so it was not a small thing.
-
But Cooper didn’t come with the baggage that Pickens does, so….. 🤷♂️

This is what NFL.COM had to say about Collins. “He’s a legit specimen. With the right coaching he could end up taking off and becoming the best interior player in this class.” – NFC personnel director I hope some of the new guys we’ve brought in can do for the DLine what Kromer has done for the OLine.

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky
Augie replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, what actually happened matters. Tyrod Taylor was not injury prone because somebody stuck a needle into his lung. This is not the same as recovering from a blown out knee. And yes, I would expect a bad shoulder to have some impact on his tackling. -
The rioting will commencer shortly.
