  1. He had a HOF QB in Palmer for many of those years. McD > Lewis, and it’s not even close. First it was argued that they were both the same in the playoffs. Well, 5-6 is not the same as 0-7. I’ve checked.
  2. Yes, somebody has some wheel issues, alright.
  3. Well then, I guess we don’t need to listen to anybody else if you have all the answer you like.
  4. You mean Lewis couldn’t win a playoff game even with HOF QB Carson Palmer? Geez! That’s even worse! 😋 Carson Palmer was no slouch, and he wasn’t the reason Lewis was 0-7 in the playoffs. You can’t just put the blame wherever it best helps your narrative.
  5. McD is 5-6 in the playoffs, and many of those could have gone the other way, for better or worse. Marvin Lewis was 0-7 in the playoffs, so I would not say that is the same thing. A guy who wins about half is better than a guy who never won. .
  6. My wife won’t order steak anymore when we go out. She says the BEST she can hope for is something about as good as what we do at home (sous vide). And you don’t always get that lucky. You can have a great meal and save a fortune at home on both the meat and the wine. 🍷
  7. It’s the Mumble Revolution! This should be interesting! Let’s see that clever and funny side we have heard rumors of.
  8. In 2016? Was he 14? That just sounds like so long ago! We had never even heard of Covid back then. He must have been the fastest kid at recess! 😂
  9. I found a can of fluorescent orange spray paint in our son’s car in high school. I asked what it was for and he explained he went out with a couple kids from the football team to go cow tipping. They were so calm they changed plans and “decorated” them instead.
  10. Now is the time for praying and regrouping. We know the important things. It’s also an ok time to point out how easy the go fund me is. Just sayin’
  11. Umm, I don’t think I saw those on the book table at Costco. That’s where most of my books come from. And they come with free snacks on every other aisle!
  12. I believe you should have gotten your Incredible Edible delivery last week with a warmly worded hand-written card. Let me check the tracking on that. Apologies for any delay or confusion. 😋
  13. I’m glad the dog survived. You’ve got a problem bigger than pot if you stabbed your dog. I’m not saying it couldn’t be a factor, but you know a defense attorney has to pin it on something other than the defendant. .
  14. Prayers for your wife and your family.
  15. Does the Kindle make it easier to read with your eyes???
  16. I only saw a few quarters of Ravens games this year, and don’t remember who they were playing, but that was the best looking football I saw all year. Granted, I admit to watching not a ton of NFL outside the Bills, but they looked really good when I caught them.
  17. Ummm, so far, yes. 😋 I can’t say I’m really looking forward to it, but it will be on. .
  18. I think he got dinged up at some point and wasn’t the same. And we heard about the foot at the end. I just saw no explosion from him after a certain point. I don’t know if that is true or related, but it looked that way to me. .
  19. I live in ATL. The Falcons live deep in the shadow cast by UGA…..and just about any other college team. I hope they find some success to make the few locals who care happy.
  20. You’re thinking of Mr Holland, maybe? That was awesome!
  21. If nothing else, it helps you self-scout. What ideas do other smart people have for you? What do they see when they watch us? What did we do right and wrong in their eyes? You may be able to learn some valuable things.
  22. This is where everybody makes me look like crap because I read cheesy commercial books that do absolutely nothing to make me a better, more informed person. I know this spot, I’ve been here before! 😂 But I enjoy them as an escape type thing. My wife reads almost exclusively self-improvement and leadership type stuff or spiritual stuff. I guess in this case opposites did attract. EDIT: I’m curious if you’ve (intentionally) read a book more than once? I know I read Catch-22 and The Winter of Our Discontent at least a couple times on purpose. Sometimes I’ll get 10-20 pages in and think it’s sounding too familiar, because it is. .
  23. I go out to lunch and read almost every day. It’s often the best hour of my day. I look forward to it and hate to say it actually upsets me when friends want to get together for lunch. I join them so I don’t become a complete hermit. I generally read the same kind of stuff including Grisham, Baldacci, Michael Connolly, etc. The last book outside of that genre was The Art of Racing In The Rain, which is told from the perspective of the dog. I’m a dog lover and enjoyed that one. When I got into real estate I learned to always have a book in my car. You never know when you’ll have a little time to kill waiting for appointments. I’d never even bring it in the house until I was finished. The book was for my spare moments and something to entertain me during lunch. .
