  1. Been hitting the gummies already? 😊
  2. No, it was a place in Sarasota, FL (Brenton Reef) that closed years ago. .
  3. I admired a large aquarium at a restaurant once, and my parents gave us a 55 gallon aquarium as a result. It was a lot of work. We had saltwater fish, and the $20 fish would always eat the $60 fish. Keeping it properly balanced and with the proper fish eventually led to us hiring a service. That was expensive. The gift that kept on giving. Having said all that, it was absolutely beautiful and I’m glad we had it while the kids were young.
  4. The Australian has always felt like the forgotten Major. It happens in the middle of the night during our winter when nobody is even thinking tennis. I’m surprised to hear Jess compared the courts to clay. I always thought of the Australian as very hot conditions and fast courts. I remember guys puking into the flower pots due to heat back in the glory days of tennis.
  5. I want to be very clear, I am not angry with you. 😊 .
  6. Isn’t it awesome that we are heading into the AFCCG and we are talking draft just for fun? I remember this picking up closer to Halloween out of desperation! Enjoy today people!
  7. This reminded me of Rex making guys captains against their former teams. That kind of pettiness does not sit well with me.
  8. Makes more sense than the Utah Jazz! 😂 We can’t afford to put a dome on it. We definitely can’t make it last 2,000 years.
  9. I’m just glad Kelce will turn 36 next season. Time gets us all.
  10. What they say is true, this is much cheaper than therapy. .
  11. One of my college buddies was religiously going to games to see Pete Rose get hit #3,000. Too much beer and he had to take a leak at the wrong time. He missed. Poor Al. Some people just get bad breaks. 🤷‍♂️
  12. The Browns should be stuck with a giant stick!
  13. I was in college there about then and spent many an afternoon in the upper deck where nobody cared what you were up to. Watch some baseball, watch some boats go down the river. Wondering what class I was supposed to be in. Ahh, those were the days! .
  14. Yeah, I have a few decades on you. The string of lost Super Bowls were certainly a part of preparing me, but most of my perspective was learned from life events in general. When you face “real” challenges you learn about priorities. I hate to bring this up again, but we had a son battling addiction. You have to live the lesson of the serenity prayer to survive. Don’t make yourself crazy over something you have no control over. If you can’t change it, you just have to accept it. Don’t let it drag you down. I know, easy to say, but hard to do. Practice helps. The Bills are great entertainment and a source of happiness in general, but they have their place in my life. I’m still down after a loss, but I don’t let it eat me up like it used to.
  15. Brown is the reason I never really worried about the Bengals long term. He had to sell the naming rights to the stadium just to sign Borrow. There’s no way they are going to be willing or able to sign all the guys they will need to retain.
  16. I thought the freeway was great when the rain was pouring down! It was the only dry place in town. I like downtown stadiums. The tailgating isn’t the same as OP, but what is?
  17. What an original and refreshing topic.
  18. Nope, he’s never asked me.
  19. Thinking on the throne for 34 years may have…..implications.
  20. I find it is healthier not to dwell on things I can’t control. I’m concerned, but I’m spending little time thinking about it so far. It’s genetics, I think, like turtles knowing what to do when they are born. Survival. I can’t get worked up. Yet.
  21. Which game? Not much. Too soon.
  22. Thx, I now know I’m going to the Hobnob for lunch tomorrow. The relief of having that decision behind me is a weight lifted. 😊
  23. There is an ebb and flow to every game. I generally say go for it, but it’s not a formula. You need to know the feel of the game for me to make a call.
  24. It wasn’t before officiating, it was DURING! That was his homily! Oh, and they have been happily married for 50+ years and she is faithfully caring for him with his Parkinson’s. Odd comments, indeed. We still talk about that after all these years. He was old and may have been hitting the holy wine. My sister was 8 years older, so I barely knew her until I was in college. I learned what crowd she hung with when after that reception her blonde college buddy stripped down nekkid behind the beachfront hotel and went for a dip. She was fun! I shouldn’t be surprised since her husband was at Woodstock.
  25. The Priest at my sister’s wedding went on a rant about not being sure why we even bother! Half of them end up divorced anyway! Well, thank you for those warm words on the day of my sister’s wedding, Fr Timlin. Yes, we still remember and talk about you. I’m in church thinking WTF about the priest. This may not end well for me. .
