I can see how this might have worked, but that’s a lot to get over…..so it was never going to happen. To me, I have some very fond memories from my youth that are OJ related. The TV special when we drafted him was a great summer for me. I used to go to McMahon’s on Main Street on occasion with my parents on the same night he went there (Thurs or Fridays?). We’d ride by his house in Chapel Woods after games when he had a lot of the team over and yell stupid stuff out the car windows. None of this is meant to idolize him now, it was just some of the fun stuff from growing up. I’m a Bills fan, but I wear Bills gear, not jersey’s because I don’t look up to players like that. You never really know. If you never had them raised up on a pedestal, there’s not as much damage when they fall. Despite what came years later, those were good times for me and I won’t let anyone take that away from me because they hate him. Just one guy’s opinion when he knew he should have just stayed quite. 😊 .

I don’t worry about them for a second. I’m not built that way, but I know some people who would be absolutely irate if they ran out of coffee!

I really hope this doesn’t mess with our Super Bowl destiny this year. I mean, the curse has limits, right? I kid, but this is scary stuff. Nobody saw Covid coming, and we took normal life for granted. A major eruption could make Covid look like a burp.

Do you roll over much in your sleep? Not to get too personal, but it seems like a fair question. Dodged a bullet there. I hate injuries during the season, but I despise serious injuries before we’re even playing football games!

In hope the damage is minimal and people are ok. It was a sneaky good holding in the game Risk, but that is another issue.

Interrogations are nice and everything, but if we had enough kits I’m sure we could build a dome!

I think they are unlikely to win Best In Show, or at least that’s what I’m taking out of this.

Unless…..it’s anything else. I generally trust them, and they cover their bases a bit in FA. But it’s still easy to argue they draft what you’d expect in the early rounds. That is not entirely stupid, btw. We should have some idea where they lean regarding position.

I lived in Florida for a couple decades, often worked outdoors and played a LOT of afternoon tennis. The sun/shade is a critical factor in the heat. I would find the shade of a tree trunk or a light post to stand in because it makes that much difference. The sun is a huge part of the problem, and we are 1,000% agreed that they need to create a safe environment. I don’t want a tragic Korey Stringer type of incident before they finally do the right thing out of fear instead of common sense. The shade might be even more important than any stray AC misters, and there should be ZERO reason why a team cannot protect their employees (not just players, mind you) from needlessly dangerous working conditions. .

I guess you only get to see that once, so enjoy! The Benford extension just might have cost more? 🤷‍♂️

I’ll just throw this out there. Someone mentioned to me that James Cook only saw 14 pass pro plays last year, and that seemed impossibly low so I Googled it. This is what I came up with: AI Overview Buffalo Bills running back James Cook participated in 11 pass-blocking snapsduring the 2024 season. While Cook is a talented runner and receiver, his pass protection skills are considered a weaker aspect of his game, and the Bills often rely on other backs like Ty Johnson for pass-blocking duties. It just seems hard to believe. I do not like being that predictable, and pass pro is largely about being willing to sell your body out. I lean toward let him play this year, then Franchises Tag him if a reasonable extension can’t be worked out.

I think it’s the thing they put on TV for lack of other programing. It’s on right before they try to sell you an air fryer or something. I’m happy for them, but you can’t make me watch that, unless a Bill was getting in. Then I’d give it a chance, briefly. .

We just spent a long weekend with the grandchildren on vacation. I mentioned this great news to the 2 1/2 year old, and it did not seem to relieve her. The screaming in the restaurant at breakfast continued. 🤷‍♂️ P.S. - It’s nice to be the grandparents. Just hand them back! .

This is touching on many levels. Since our kids were young, and now well into adulthood, my wife has only asked for one gift from our boys. She has a collection of handwritten notes from our kids going back decades, and they are far more precious than any little trinket or costume earrings. They are among her most prized possessions. We are on vacation in a cabin at a resort on a lake, and all three of our grandkids are here, along with their families. It’s complicated, but it’s also beautiful. Some of them I will meet for the first time tonight. She got tee times and massages for all the right people, a full day at the pool with a cabana…..and this is her birthday gift to herself. That feels like a different generation.

The hope I have is the way he seemed to finally be playing following the ACL, but just before the Achilles. He was super slow healing or trusting after the ACL, so maybe the same was true of the Achilles. Either way, love the guy!
