  1. Wow…..I haven’t been to a Monday Night game since Ahmad Rashad beat the Raiders. That was one long line getting out of the parking lot. Loved every minute of it listening to the post game show. Amazingly vivid memory. I planned on the opener, I didn’t plan on a Monday night!
  2. Our team looked like that for faaaarrrrr too long.
  3. I’d prefer to finish strong……and pray for the best early. Our first half and second half are VERY different!
  4. I’m not arguing, just balancing the bad juju vibe. We respect every opponent and never take anyone lightly. Let us not be forced to watch anything like the Jags game last year…….. ever again!
  5. My buddy with Bengals season tickets had one lined up for me. Monday Night game is cool, January 2 in the evening may be freezing. I’m old and I’ve lived in the south for the last 40 years. Give me a break!
  6. They could use a lesson in branding. 🤷‍♂️
  7. I trust our guys to both evaluate and develop DB’s. It takes both. Where you land matters, and I think that is true for Elam as much as for a QB. I’m on team Elam here. .
  8. I remember sitting around the dinner table in the late 60’s fighting with my sister over who got to go to the Raiders game that year. (That’s when we went from 2 to 4 seats.) Nothing has changed in that regard. Who gets the primo stuff and who gets the cold, wet Sunday in late December vs the Jags? I love the idea, but I’m not smart enough to tell you how to make it work. I welcome any good ideas! PS - Fergy is my hero for championing this, and I think he should get one extra ping pong ball in the game picking draw! That seems fair. .
  9. It’s wine time, of course!
  10. Jerry and Addison are part of the youth movement in Houston. Have I mentioned how much I love Beane?
  11. I knew he was at least very “reliable”, but this is almost superhuman. That’s a combination of incredible durability, high character and plain old luck. You don’t realize it when a guy just shows up and plays every game, so that snuck up on me. WOW!
  12. That just goes to show how absolutely INCREDIBLE Bruce Smith was! Best of luck to Jerry moving forward. He deserves it, unless he’s playing the Bills. I hope changing his jersey helps him get some holding calls going forward! .
  13. I’m with you, coming in for one home game a year. I’ll be very interested to see what kind of ideas come out here. I get my tix on the secondary market most of the time. I like when I end up in a group of season ticket holders who all know each other. It adds even more to the sense of community. Maybe this already exists, but even if we just had a ticket exchange avoiding those annoying StubHub fees! I’m not sure why they bother me so much! OK, let’s put all those brilliant minds to work and figure out how to make something really cool out of this opportunity!
  14. Week one in Buffalo would be a treat for both teams. Week one in Miami and someone just might die. I’ve been to free Florida games like that. Next time I just thank them for the offer. (And realize that they actually hate me for wishing that upon me!) .
  15. I get that UB likes the idea of an on-campus stadium. BUT……it would be nice to build one stadium to meet the need of two teams. USF football plays in the Buc’s stadium. UB already has a split campus, so people are not just walking over to the stadium. I left WNY when I was 17. If I’m way off here that’s cool. The locals will know better.
  16. Who’d a thunk he’d leave after the orange slices were handed out? He was just in it for the fruit!
  17. Walt Putalski. ……I don’t get out much. 🤷‍♂️
  18. He’s easy to make fun of for his goofy caps and multiple missteps. I too wish him all the best. We’ll never know how much of his life’s troubles came from losing family members or becoming insanely wealthy at a young age, or things we know nothing about. Life is complicated, and too short to hate on people. Yes, he was disappointing in ways, especially after he got paid. Apparently he was not well equipped for what he’s encountered in life. That doesn’t mean he can’t learn and grow as a person. I’ll kid about him but, like anyone else, wish him well in life.
  19. Abe is my nephew. He’s much younger than myself.
  20. I know a LOT of people will disagree, and that’s fine, but I like my Bills games on Sunday at 1:00 pm. There is an internal body clock and a certain rhythm to a Sunday game at that time. For those of you who love the excitement and attention that comes with prime time games, you will be happy. I am the one who is going to have to adjust. The Bills are not only good, but they are fun to watch. There will be a LOT of prime time games in our future.
  21. I have a buddy who had a wild teenage son. I highly suggest a healthy umbrella policy. It’s not expensive, but IF you NEED it, it’s coverage nice to have.
  22. If I take my car to a dealership, anything that happens until I pick it back up and sign off is on THEM. What am I missing? I’m serious. I think I must have missed something here.
  23. That was me for many years. I felt like it was part of dressing up, but I normally just rely upon my phone. Our 29 year old son was just here for Mother’s Day and it reminded me of the first time I saw a cell phone. We were at one of his tee ball games and a VERY pregnant mom got one ahead of the curve as a precaution. My son doesn’t know the world without cell phones, and my father could never work one. What will the next generation see? My wife read a study about guys in their 20’ and 30’s. Of the few who did wear a watch, I think about 2/3 would do it just as a fashion statement. Funny story: Last time I went to wear one of my two watches I noticed it had stopped. I took it to a jeweler at the mall to replace the battery. Just as I was walking in I looked at it and saw it ticking away! Only then did I recall it was solar operated and realize sitting in my dark closet was not cutting it! That saved an embarrassing moment for me! EDIT: both of my watches are “non smart”. My phone and TV are already smarter than me. I don’t need to be further looked down upon by my devices.
  24. I know, but I’m not allowed to tell. I’ve been to one Bills SB. It was vs the Redskins in Minneapolis. It did not end well, of course, but it checked that box for me. I don’t “need” to attend another, but I would if the situation was right. I first and foremost want the Bills in the Super Bowl! After that there are options: would I rather be at the SB game, or in the draft room a few months later. I’d take the draft room.
  25. My experience is that you are often sitting among other season ticket holders, and they provide the camaraderie you crave. It’s like a little family unit. You know everybody by name, ask what’s up with Mary if Bob shows up alone, ask about the kids, high five each other, etc. I honestly believe that is probably MORE true at a Bills game than for any other team in the league.
