As could be the mythical creature. That is how I see it. I don’t have to give it any weight worthy of discussion because somebody started a thread to discuss it. If we have a losing record they would give him another year, and I don’t see that happening.

I describe it as sound and secure at this point. He was 14-4 last year despite a cluster**** of turmoil. I wish there was an inoculation for 13 seconds. It’s over. Big picture people! We are a top 5 team in the league. Who wants to shake that up and start over? Not me. Let’s just keep tweaking to get better every year.

I have to respectfully disagree. It may have been a lot of things, but it was not apathy. Distraction and countless other descriptions, but I don’t think it was apathy.

Fortunately for him it’s this year and not last. He can get generationally rich if he stays healthy, I think. Let’s hope, because that means good things!

IF Josh is harder on Diggs, we shouldn’t know about it. Praise in public, criticize in private. That’s pretty basic stuff. Starting a public pissing match would be the worst thing they could do. Don’t expect that. .

I only do laundry when I’m about to run out of things. My wife is always looking for things to do. I rarely do laundry. This reminds me of when my then ~90 year old mother asked my recently graduated from college son how often he dusts. He looked at her like she had asked how often he milks his bull.

I don’t care much who starts. I would see him as one more part, so when we suffer the inevitable injury at WR we don’t have a big drop off. I hate to gamble the season on the young guys stepping up if a WR misses a few weeks due to injury. I like their promise, but a lot is at stake. The team suffered when Gabe Davis played with that high ankle sprain last year. Allow it to heal properly and still play quality football that defenses have to respect.

Speaking of which, from the Card perspective what are they stuck with this year, and how does it affect future years? Does he have offsets with the Cards allowing them to reduce their expense? Can he further screw them by taking a little less? I know he wants hi$, but this is a guy burning bridges as only a guy at the end of his career can. He will retire with a mountain of money. A guy can dream…. 🤷‍♂️ I’m not saying we NEED him, but if it worked out financially we’d still have competent WR’s even when someone gets a high ankle sprain or another guy pulls a hammy. I feel good about the young guys but they are a gamble, so it will be interesting. Beane isn’t perfect, but he’s got my trust. .

I think he CAN, if he really wants to. DHop has to be reasonable, and Beane has to see it as a nice fit. I like it as an option, and curious to see how it goes. You won’t have to talk me off a ledge if it doesn’t happen, but it is intriguing.
