I totally see where you are coming from from here. I really do, and I can give you no great reason why I think they will find a way to make both TE investments pay off. But, as it so often does, it will come down to the LOS. Nothing works if you are losing the LOS regularly. And THAT is why I’m good keeping Ed over an OK LB. Win on the line.

You realize that being “the most recent” is very important factor in judging a players ranking in terms of value, right? The most recent QB to sign a huge deal does not make him the best QB. It just means he got next man up money while the cap keeps rising. I have no problems with the $$$ for Ed as long as he stays healthy and plays to his ability.

Best to just ignore this one, then. I try not to feed the trolls.

Respectfully, I don’t see that at all. He did not “blink”, and he is not desperate because we don’t have DT’s under contract for next year. Agree or not, they think he’s a pretty darn good football player when healthy.

Those Washington Generals had a rabid fanbase, for sure! I can relate to their pain after experiencing our drought. I had a neighbors over to design a new kitchen for us. He’s actually quite famous architect and does huge jobs all over the world, but my wife didn’t realize this was like asking Rembrandt to paint your bathroom. He lives up the street and was too polite to say no. When he saw my Bills stuff in the house he explained that his wife was going for a beach vacation with friends. He’s not a beach kinda guy so he was taking a different trip. He was going to Buffalo on an “architectural vacation” to see all the cool old stuff there. He sent us multiple pics of wings, pizza and beer. He fit right in with WNY!

This is why I’m not terribly worried about the Bengals long term. Once they have to pay Burrow and a couple other guys, how eager do you think they will be to tie up hundreds of millions of $$$ for the guaranteed money? I think they will have some built in limitations due to ownership.

I have zero idea who those people are that you just referenced. I don’t “read” or “study” this stuff. I’ve done pretty well letting common sense guide much of my life. I’m pretty good at never saying never. I’m all for exploring the universe, and no telling what we might find…..like kinda how it works. 🤷‍♂️ Without knowing how it works, it sounds like a very bad idea to be too sure about the little details. .

“There are a lot of things we don’t understand”, like what the heck is dark energy or dark matter. They make up 95%+ of the universe, so I’d want to have a clue what that is before I go proclaiming to know how it all works. You would probably have voted to put Galileo on house arrest.

The likelihood of repeatedly winning the Powerball is not hard to calculate. It’s math. You don’t need to make enormous assumptions about things we know so little, if anything, about. That’s where you are going wrong, assuming you know too much….with so much that is unknowable to us. It sounds very pompous, to me. But to each their own.
