  1. Bernard should just walk off and retire after that quarter, it’s not getting any better for him. Has a first quarter intermission retirement been done before?
  2. I’m also arriving at Heathrow Thursday morning about 8am (Delta from ATL) and I figured I’d drop my bag at the hotel and wander about. I was curious about check-in time and just realized it looks like I’m booked for Wed night! The sensible thing to do would be to cancel that night. The wife said “just keep it if you want, you might be glad you did.” I love my wife! As for the transportation, we’ll just have to figure it out. I guess that will have to be part of the adventure! .
  3. No, YOU took it there. Do you pay taxes? Why?
  4. Forget the smoke and mirrors. Do you pay taxes? If so, why?
  5. I’m afraid I’ll miss that little ditty while I hit the head and reload on food and drink. THAT is what halftime of a Super Bowl is dedicated to.
  6. WAIT! Where do I apply for that position? That sounds right up my alley! 🍺 🍺
  7. I knew it was the father of someone here, but did not recall who. Those covers are a nice childhood memory and look great on the wall by the big screen downstairs!
  8. The date of the parade has yet to be announced, of course.
  9. This one is more than good after a couple decades. I’m sure everyone has a hierarchy of relatives you would like to be trapped in a small place with. He’s a great guy.
  10. If only I had a nickel for every time I said that! .
  11. Oh my! Where is the Church Lady when you need her most?
  12. This is bizarre, but I have been sitting here with my wife watching Aerial Argentina in 4k waiting for the OSU vs ND game. Her sister has been with a guy from Argentina forever.
  13. Beggars can’t be choosers, as my mother liked to say. Be glad you are not sharing a bicycle. 😋 The Maid of the Mist poncho is a classic, by the way.
  14. Are you free to drive him to Argentina if he misses his flight? We are, like, good neighbors and all that, after all.
  15. We didn’t see all four sides. Einstein might have been afraid of trespassing, or blushing to the point that he became too woozy to document properly.
  16. Wow! I bet you’ll know all about football when you get to the game! 😋
  17. I bet one of you guys lives there. Don’t be modest or shy! Who is it??? 😋
  18. I forget which club we would go to, but it was more than hot dogs and beer. They had that stuff, along with the full open bar and the carving stations. All VERY easy to have access to. The players literally ran thru the club to get out to the field. It’s a great experience. I can’t speak to value as the daughter-in-law had access to passes thru work, but I’d pay a pretty penny for that! .
  19. I was excited about the cheap concessions at Mercedes Benz Stadium……until I went three different times to get something and gave up because the lines were so long I’d miss the game completely. That article was from 2018 and my experience was around then (when did the Bills play there?). Hopefully they have worked out the kinks. I have been back there, but only for MLS in a club. Oh my! They do THAT right!!!
  20. Nothing more delicious than gruel with your tailgate! I guess that would give you a good solid base for the turmoil ahead. 🤷‍♂️
  21. The Atlanta Braves stadium has a mini-museum built along one of the concourses. I’m not much into baseball or museums, but I liked the way they blended that in. Cool idea.
  22. I am mystified as to why Butch Byrd isn’t up there.
  23. I don’t remember the trains, but down in the man cave we have a bunch of those old cartoon program covers from the early 60’s framed. I had boxes of those programs as a kid, but I got this dozen or so covers on-line recently.
  24. We are not disagreeing, you are just wrong and it is not just semantics. Theft is against the law.
  25. You can say it, but that doesn’t make it true. It is not theft. And while we’re at it, can you define “people with money” for us? You paint in very broad strokes, and that is almost always a bad thing.
