Exactly. Bills fans need to let Schwartz go. Mario was aging, Williams is great but older, Dareus hasn't been on the field. Bradham, Searcy, Aaron Williams, and McKelvin gone. Bills needed to restock the D regardless and Shaq and Ragland haven't been on the field. The defense is what it is. Mediocre. Can play well at times against bad QB's. If the defense is to be top 5 again we need stars in the secondary.

The Bills don't run screens. At least not since Gailey left. I agree that Rex got way too conservative. You can't let Carr sit back for 7 seconds and hit receivers. Bills needed to generate pressure and Rex got gun shy. Bills also, missing Aaron Williams have the worst safeties in the NFL. Which probably explains why Rex got scared to bring extra guys.

The Bills defense got pushed around and on the final TD the Bills were not ready when the ball was snapped. Dolphins did everything to give away a game they should have won but we were not ready. Lorax is amazing.

For those saying we scored one TD that was what was the situation called for. The Bills had stifled their offense all day and chipping in field goals was all they had to do. If they were scoring our offense would have been more aggressive in certain situations.

I like Whaley overall. Instead of hiring a football czar I would like to see Pegula hire a quarterback czar. Use Pegula bucks to bring in the best quarterback scout in the country and empower him to recommend players to Whaley and assist in finding the right prospect or player. Other than not having found a QB we have a good roster when healthy. Tyrod could be the guy but we need to start looking now in case he doesn't perform.

I am in no camp. Not sold on Ryan next year but also not pining for the past. Rex should get the blame for Marcel Dareus. If he wanted a NT why did the Bills not get one? Can't really blame Rex for Mario or Kyle. I am fine with building a 3-4 defense now just want to see the plan executed correctly.

You're wrong. Kyle has been injured a lot. You are correct that if you remove this year and focus on the years before that he played a lot of games. But I stated that he has been injured a lot which is correct. Moving forward, with all the surgeries and the advanced age my initial point stands. And I ask you, do you want to build a scheme around a 33 year old Kyle Williams who has had multiple surgeries in recent years?

Kyle is injured all the time and rapidly approaching the time when he no longer can be counted on. I agree that Rex switching schemes hurt our defense this year. But now people want to switch back to a scheme based on something that peaked last year and might never happen again? And force a scheme change again? Who is going to coach it?

Exactly. I think finding 3-4 personnel is still cheaper than fielding 4-3 because linebackers costs less. Bills were going to have to adjust anyway. Of course we wanted to keep the band together but watching DL age before our eyes at least gives us time to make changes before next year.
