Hopefully someone asks Chris Brown or Rex or Whaley this question. Answering questions like that will go a long way in getting fans to buy into next year. I feel like defending continuity but I want a plan that makes sense. Right now fans should have every right to wonder why players that were good last year can;t make plays this year.

Agreed. But why didn't Rex ask for a NT if he needed Dareus to do so? Seems like an incredible waste to spend 106 million and then turn him into a run stuffer only.

How did Rex injure Kyle Williams? Mario Williams might not be in his preferred scheme but he was the one who couldn't beat scrubs all year in one one one matchups. I'll give you Dareus as a lineman that Rex messed around with. If Rex needed Dareus as a NT why didn't he insist on getting a real NT in free agency?

Belichick is very territorial. He will not bless anyone taking a head coach job in division.

We're not getting him unless Belichick is about to retire. A rocket scientist doesn't coach against Brady and Belichick in the same division.

I'm just guessing but Whaley seems like more of a tell it as it is guy then Rex. Rex should have told Pegulas he would need to change players. If Rex is here next year he better come clean with the owners and fans.

This. Ryan can coach but was a bad fit for our biggest strength. Now we need to make sure we improve and not just spin our wheels for a few more years.

To play devils advocate. If Ryan is really as bad as people say, shouldn't we keep him so we can get a shot at a top 5 QB?!

I just don't like the idea of a washed up NFL guy leading the charge. Even great football minds look bad as they age. Parcells was awful in Miami and Holmgren in Cleveland. Polian was a bullet just dodged based on luck and now you want to try that again?!

Yeah, Rex has been awful but the idea of fans hiring a coach every year is scarier than another year of Rex.

Polian and Lafontaine were the two people that Pegulas wanted last time. Who I can name has no bearing.

Well, be careful what you wish for. Bill Polian would have been a disaster! That would have set us back for many years with his son running the draft. Pat Lafontaine was a very bad idea as well. I like the Pegulas. But they are human and their first two czar ideas were a cure that would have killed the patient.

This actually happened recently with the Buffalo Sabres. Pegula hired Pat Lafontaine as hockey czar. Lafontaine then hired a GM in Tim Murray. Soon Lafontaine quit. It now appears that the this extra layer created by Pegula was nonsense and would only have led to a very unhappy ending. Lafontaine wanted to try to fight for wins and resign an aging Miller. Pegula was saved by the fact that the GM that was hired put his foot down and demanded he be in charge.

Aren't there rumors that Whaley wanted Hue Jackson? That would make sense as NFL GM's know way more about how 4-3 style defensive players don't all fit nicely in a 3-4 pressure D? I think Whaley who was on thin ice would be crazy to recommend a coach that would change the very thing that the Bills had the most money in.

Pegulas make mistakes but I really hope they don't make moves just to sell fans on "change". The only czar they should be looking for is a Quarterback czar. That czar is responsible for gathering intelligence on all QB's in the next three drafts and reports directly to Whaley. Pegula leaves Whaley in place but tells him to get at least 2 QB's in the next 3 drafts that he can develop.

If the Bills do this they need to do this right. Hire Pat Lafontaine and give him life and death power over Rex and Whaley.

I honestly don't care right now. Vegas has Bills at 8.5 wins. Only super fans are honestly surprised. Bills need to communicate a plan moving forward. I haven't bought into next year yet.
