  1. I'd take this guy all day, every day! He just coming into his own and would be a perfect fit.
  2. RIP The Best there ever was.
  3. Yes and at 10-6, with 2 playoff appearances in 3 years and a fun, developing young QB etc. You'd think we were back in the mid 80s with back to back 2-14 years. Will people learn to enjoy that it isn't just the final outcome and a rush to get there. Enjoy the process, and most of all you don't know everything and it's Ok to admit being wrong.
  4. Like Bum Phillips said about Shula, " he can take his-in and beat yer-in, and then runaround and take yer-in and beat his-in"
  5. Generally, you want a Backup who can play .500 for you when the regular guy goes down for a few weeks. Barkley was good the first time against NYJ, not so good but with mostly backups against Jets first team. He could be replaced, but I'm not sure its needed. I agree with you, 2020 current status would be fine.
  6. To me, we were trying to run clock and not give up big plays. IMHO and I've believed it all year we go in that mode too soon. Hard to argue with the approach of a coach who won 10 games. Watching the game though, I felt like you do have a point. Starting right before half time with the lack of urgency with trying to score a TD, to sitting back off Hopkins 10 yards when we had them in third and short-medium. It just felt like let's give them yards and will hold them to a FG once they're in the Red Zone. I think we played from 16-0 onward like we had this and just needed to get it over. It worried me watching the game, I felt it.
  7. Separate issue, but tackling fundamentals seem poor too. Surprising give the type of coach McD is supposed to be. Either this persona is not true or, as I suspect, he is seething inside and wants better guys.
  8. Wow! I knew it was bad, but not that bad! PISS POOR
  9. I agree that we do somewhat over state the impact of our Defense. I mean they are not the '85 Bears in any way shape or form. They couldn't get stops at key moments all year, they aren't a pressure defense and force a lot turnovers, and don't put the hammer down with the lead, they sit back and give a big cushion very early on halves. I believe we were good enough defensively to be in games. But let's be honest, we're not a shutdown, championship caliber defense. the pace of play of the team also helped keep points allowed down.
  10. Nice post! As Sean Connery said in The Rock, "Hmm and educated man!"
  11. Thanks, I'll check him out!
  12. Correct answer is 38.7%, the amount his fantasy production increased because after all that is what matters to many. Seriously though there are a lot of reasons to like your estimate of 30-40%. Even his QB Rating was up almost 30%. Although LOL his ESPN QBR dropped! great ***** stat #Whatdrought "but it feels to me like those ready to quit on him are ignoring the jump he took this year" The % breakdown of how most 2BD Fans assess JA 90% are reasonable, can see the big improvements, love the kid and his talent, realize he is a winner, he is Buffalo and committed, has some things to improve on and has shown the knack for just that, realize he is a young, inexpensive, at worst middle of the pack QB, with plenty of room for growth if given more time and better help. Realistic that he has less than 30 starts in the NFL and didn't come from a Power 5 conference...... 9% go on other teams fan sites, with fans just like themselves, who don't know a football from an avocado. But, they know one thing really well, QB Play aHHHHHH. I mean if you don't have Parick Mahomes why bother? They then "get liquored up" and go on to 2 Bills Drive after a tough loss and blame the QB for everything. Ah Yes! from the defensive not stopping the other team to poor playcalling, time management and personnel usage and lack of execution by the offensive line, to a receiver dropping the ball because it required knee bend and full extension. 1% all of the above and didn't like want him to start with, will never give it up even after a SB Win, don't know ***** about it and think they really do, come on 2BD daily in an attempt to aggravate the other 90% who are rational, lucid folks. So for you 90% ignore the trolls, pity others, and realize the Bills have a bright future if they keep trying to improve. That's all!
  13. We need redundancy, as some have pointed out. I want the opponent to look at us and say man they have a lot of weapons. It is time to stop neglecting this area. Get me some more damn playmakers!!!
  14. I would hire a WR consultant to help with make the draft pick especially after the Dk Metcalf and Zay Jones debacles.
  15. Milano has been a nice story since drafted. I have to admit that I'm starting to wonder about the missed tackles. The team had the second most in the league and Milano was the biggest culprit. He needs to be better.
  16. Definately much improved, still plenty of room for imrpovement. I like Dawkins and think Spain (bring him back), Morse and Feliciano are serviceable. I'd make getting a FA to play RT a high priority and make Ford compete for playing time with the Guards.
  17. After watching other playoff teams it's really astounding the playmakers they have. We're just not good enough yet to beat good playoff teams regularly. Those playmakers make a difference at that level.
  18. I purposely waited over night for this. I watched the other games and came to the conclusion that Josh is a B and Watson is an A-. The bad plays were overstated and he got a 16-0 lead and put up 356 yards without an interception. He did fumble and wasn't perfect, but after watching how other playoff teams support their QBs (let alone a young, inexperienced one) I raised my grade from the C+ I was thinking last night. Don't get me going on the play to win with 16 pts. coaching and lack of playmakers they've given us. Watch Hopkins, Theilen, Thomas etc. and it is hard not feel jealous. There are others.
  19. God I'm jealous watching Theilen,Thomas, Hopkins etc. play. The play where JB couldn't get his feet in is done 9 out of 10 times by top receivers.
  20. You know what I'm jealous of is watching these receivers (Thielen, Thomas, Hopkins) and the catches they make to help the QB. John Brown had a nice year, but can't even execute a relatively simple toe drag.
  21. After this game it's a great opportunity to form a mental list of certain posters, some will get over it quickly, some in a few days, others will continue like this.
