  1. I thought it was Matt Patricia at first!
  2. Sunshine, a little surprised at this take after reading some of your posts. I see that you have been a defender of Josh on many threads. So I was guessing that's what it was, clearly not. The tenor of the title could be worded better. People don't care to be told how to think or called stupid because they have a different view. My take is that probably 90% of the posters are really excellent and objective, yes we all get emotional sometimes. The 10% are usually pretty easy to identify and thus get dealt with accordingly. Have a good holiday.
  3. Not to be a party pooper, but I hear every season this schedule is really tough and this one is really easy. It sure doesn't seem to pan out that way given the nature of the game. If you are interested in going to see a particular game or team I get it. As far as predictive for playoffs etc. I don't see it.
  4. That the bad throws need to be balanced with the great ones. If he has a 102.7 rating against the number 1 defense that is a balance metric. I mean if he threw a couple picks too it would go way down, he didn't. When a QB has 100+ rating his team almost always wins, unless the opponents QB is over 100 too.....Guess what? Brady
  5. I'm good with the top 3-4 young guys to be fair, Mahomes, Watson etc. But, Jameis Winston, that is just downwright LAMP. Josh Allen has a chance to be one of the best QBs in the league
  6. Nor does a bad throw, which everyone acknowledges he's made, mean he won't be! You also seem to need to be right about the inconsistency. I'll answer with Yes he is somewhat, most would acknowledge that, so there's that. Serious question? can you acknowledge that will improve and already has?
  7. We have the third most missed tackles in the NFL, frankly it surprises me given McDermott and his penchant for fundamentals. Needs to improve or we need better tacklers to beat top level teams.
  8. I'm not sure what you mean by signature, and the season isn't over yet. But, if you mean beating top level teams (Super Bowl Contenders and Bye type squads., Yes we lost to both NE and Balt. in close hard fought games. Those losses are the only top level teams they played. But, the level below that, which is where they likely fit in at this point. they are move like a .500 team. By definition they aren't beating the very top teams, but can play with the next level down which is playoff type teams and wild card contenders.
  9. Sal C. tweeted something about team awards, when I think about this it really becomes pretty obvious who the offensive MVP is of this 10 win team.
  10. If only Josh could have gotten a few stops on third down, especially in the first half, things could have been different. Sheesh
  11. Bills have the third most missed tackles in the NFL at 113, Not a good crowd to be in at the top. Pretty shocking to me given McDermott is such a stickler for fundamentals. Pats only 62 second best. 12. FFS, watching the games today, and you know what? QBs are missing passes all over the place. Just saw the MVP Lamar miss 2 college open guys. Damn I'm shocked based on the takes I see on 2BD, thought other NFL QBs never missed a few.
  13. I sometimes think these takes are an insight into a lack of understanding they have about football. Everybody thinks they get the QB and his job, but really not so much. In short, in their minds it is was they understand and they really don't think they lack understanding. I can tell by reading posts, such as yours, that you get that it isn't as simple as that, much context is required. These are not excuses, but actual analysis.
  14. Good post! Yes the display of high level ability and potential is really along the lines of a young Brett Favre or John Elway and that is really exciting. Contrast this with someone like Sam Darnold who is more consistent, but lacks the really high end ability Allen does. In short, he is much closer to a finished product than Josh. That and given the fact he played high level ball in college, not at Wyoming. The good thing is Allen, has been making progress towards the flaws, he cares and works hard at his craft. To some extent it's a matter of taste I suppose, I want the guy who has the most upside with correctable weaknesses, and the willingness to improve. The other dudes who are close to finished products leave you frustrated much of the time at the end of the year.
  15. Good post, and welcome. You know something not discussed enough is to learn where you need to improve you need to play the best. They expose your weaknesses and you adapt accordingly. We are at that stage IMO, we can go a long way yes, but we have some areas that are clearly in need of improvement.
  16. Yeah It pisses me off when someone knows they hate Allen and throughout the season make comments as such, and then don't have the onions to admit it. There are some on 2BD who will support, could be wrong IMO, why they don't like him and want to move on. I can respect that a lot more.
  17. Yeah you are equal opportunity all right. You're perfectly objective in your mind. Your a hater and you know it.
  18. I think we have some revisionist history going on as to the defenses performance. People would have signed up for Allens 2 TDS and 0 TOs before the game, not to mention 102.7 Rating against a team that has been giving opponents nothing, 49.8 QBR 12.9 ppg. The dye was cast early in the game with a game plan that allowed NE to methodically win third downs and control the clock. People are being way to kind to the defense. They didn't do what we expected going in, as to the offense it would have been nice to put up 27 against the #1 defense. But, as I said, people would have signed on for the Allen performance before the game.
  19. The bottom third is your take, not a fact. Your performance in the GDT tells me you believe Allen to suck. I'm curious about these legit concerns?
  20. It is indeed a frustrating thing to watch that NE is given a standard that other teams aren't. Brady throw aways and roughing the passer calls.....don't get me started. Playing them is like a boxing match against the champ, you can't let it go to a decision, even if you're winning every round, you have to knock their ass out to beat them. It's pathetic to watch and and makes them so unlikeable to many.
  21. I feel like the OP should have made public where everyone is on this question. I shouldn't have to tell you its 100% unless he has a career ending injury-Lets hope not because we have the real deal at QB. And, he is a fine young guy to boot.
  22. They went power and didn't spread them out in the hurry up. That was a mistake. When you say lack of executing, don't ignore the good plays too.
  23. You got me! Edelman not doubled until too late either.
  24. Yeah Josh can improve (big surprise), as can Daboll, McD, the Oline, the receivers and it would be nice to have an other RB. So you can like the offensive approach of close to the vest until we need it and then turn Josh loose, I don't. Let's not ignore the good stuff that he displays either.
