  1. You're the man! Keep taking one for the team.
  2. Philip Rivers has thrown for 350+ yards 21 x. His record in those games is 9-12. The fantasy people need to realize throwing for alot of yards has never correlated with winning as much as efficient passing.
  3. Thanks that sounds fair. Go Bills
  4. I think some are hung up on yards passing. And, we all know there are QBs who throw for hundreds of yards each week and lose!
  5. Missed the game after the first quarter today, Family stuff. I have a question for those who saw it. Was Tyrod as bad as some are saying? The first 2 drives when they scored and he had the big scramble and hit some big passes made it seem like he was doing great. I don't get it.
  6. Jeez! when are some of you guys going to realize that NO GM hits all the time. You post as if that is the case. The truth is much closer to 50/50. I don't know what it is and you don't either. But it's a hell of alot closer to 50 than 100.
  7. I don't think anyone can deny he was very sharp today, especially early when the game was in doubt. He needs to keep this train going and we will all be happy. Consistency of improvement is the key with him. Loved the win!
  8. ^^^^This sounds about right^^^
  9. Interesting topic! But, I would have to say that the streak would still be intact. The organizational dysfunction(Marrone Era) had already started to show its ugly head.
  10. I was thinking the same thing. Works like novacaine!
  11. Like I said it does nothing more than get you to where everyone else is. Do you think the Patriots are copying the rest of the league? They do what is basic to success. They also have a few patentable ideas.
  12. It is not readily apparent to me that the Bills are using anything other than an old school approach. Roman certainly did not appear to be anything other than a guy who is set in his ways. The coaching staff appears to be behind the curve in general as compared to teams that are trying to be innovative. I'm not a big fan of the copy cat theory. Youre trying to get ahead of the other teams, the copy cat just gets you in the game. The organization needs to try aggressive in establishing an identity that can take them forward. Stop looking to the past for the future. Old schoolers will say nothing ever changes. I think that is pure BS. The game is constantly evolving. Take for example the use of the nickel LB that some teams are employing- Rex no !@#$ing way he'd try that, all he knows is what he knows.
  13. Having it available and it actually being used are 2 distinctly different things.
  14. I never was a fan of REX in NY, as a matter of fact it was more like hated him. Then he got the job and a lot of us thought he's the coach we need to support the team. Not mention he is a motivator, BSer and his personality initially says to people "get on board". We also had new owners and a relatively new GM at the time. Ok its a new ERA maybe. Sooner or later the BS becomes a real problem as we've all seen. People need to see a positive trend and results. That has not occurred. I was initially worried with what I was hearing about the defense last year. I was always taught to believe by my dad, a coach himself, that the best coach's fit the scheme to the players. When I kept hearing that All Pro players were confused and not "buying in" it led me to be suspicious. When I kept hearing we don't have the right guys, he doesn't fit, we need better communication, and the second year will be better. It got me really concerned about the direction. Why? because if it takes you a year to fit in a specific type player to your system it is too long. It shouldn't take that long. It means when you get injuries, retirements, suspensions, free agents, rookies etc. it becomes a big problem under this system. It means to me that this guy is a one-trick pony, and his system needed to evolve, and it hasn't. Everything changes over time, and he is still the same coach, trying to do the same tired routine. I hope I'm totally wrong and he straightens it out. I would gladly come on here in a few months and say I was wrong. But, for now the organization has lost me. I don't believe anymore.
  15. I'm saying 5-11 right now. Started season thinking 8-9 wins. Cleveland, Jax, Miami, San Fran, probably 1 other somehow
  16. If he keeps playing the way he's started this season NO way. Let Blokes and Gunner pay top dollar for him with their teams.
  17. Better be careful with what we believe in the coming months. As the season progresses these people will be leaking and trying to make sure they aren't left without a chair. Media is circling and loving this.
  18. As usual no backup plan (adjustments) by the Rex coaching staff!
  19. Fair enough. I disagree.
  20. You do realize that Super Bowl winning teams don't have an old figurehead coach take over. Almost without exception all the great head coaches started in their late 30s/early 40s with Shula early 30s/Walsh mid 40s being the exceptions. You can be level headed in dealing with the media and not be in your 70s.
  21. Did Wrecks burn down your house as a kid or something. Jeez I want him gone too, but..........
  22. I repeat no Mike Shanahan, no Parcells, no Schottenheimer, No Casserly! NO NO NO I know Mcdaniels had a rough go in Denver as a young coach, but so did Belichick in Cleveland... and many others. I bet he is much better this go round. Or, find another young cutting edge guy with a future, NOT a past. What matters is going forward. No Billick No Cowher.....
  23. No old farts. No Coughlin, No Cowher. No Polian. NO NO NO. I'd want a younger offensive guy like McDaniels.
