  1. I'm very comfortable going over 8. TT second year, improved defense, second year with coaching staff, Brady suspension.....lots of reason to think a team that has won 9 and 8 the last 2 years goes over 8.
  2. I saw that article, saw who wrote it, and moved on quickly. He's biased beyond belief, and should not have a job.
  3. Nice article! It cleared up some things about the Ryan D for me.
  4. Can we get rid of Dray, and get back a roster spot?
  5. I love this! Clearly he is the best OL from the draft. It helps for people to remember these types of analysis when you say the Bills have drafted poorly in recent years. Buddy and Doug have built a nice foundation through the draft. Some people like to cherry pick the misses, well they ALL miss, it is inexact to say the least. I want Doug Whaley as my GM.
  6. I'd be shocked if he made the team.
  7. I just spent some time seeing who was available after we made the pick. And, combined with knowledge of their needs and what Whaley said......I have to agree with you soldier. Not trying to cop out Bandit...I tried and like this draft. It makes sense.
  8. Really cool to hear from a former NFL executive of the year!
  9. Consensus Draft Grades I took all the grades I could find- thanks to 26Blitz. Outliers have alot less weight. The more info I got the less a team could move. A-......Jax, Was B+.....Bal,Buf,Cin,Chi,Den,Min B.......Mia,KC,SD,Ind,Sea,GB,NO,Hou,TB B-.....Ten,Cle,Dal,Oak,Az,NYG,SF,Det,LA C+....NE,Car,NYJ,Pit,Phi C......Atl
  10. http://thecomeback.com/blog/nfl/2016-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams.html/2 Don't think was posted.
  11. I think if the OP means understanding the D, providing leadership, toughness and grit then he has a chance. He seems to be the kind of guy who can be the hub of a great defense like at Alabama. If he is talking performance there is no way to say that now. The odds are against him performing like Ray...especially on the field!
  12. I raise you a new one. ESPN post draft show with some of the resident geniuses (Kiper, McShay, Edwards, Jaworski) last night. It goes something like this: Did any AFCE team close the gap on NE? If it is anybody it's Miami because they have Tannehill. But wait Brady could miss games! Yes but Garopalo might be the second best QB in the division. Talk about complete disrespect!
  13. Yes I agree with this premise. As a matter of fact, it may well underrated by many on this board, Buddy laid the foundation. Far from perfect for sure, better than most credit him for!
  14. I give it an A for now. Lawson- helps with the edge and pass rush. After a 21 sack season as a team, this was much needed. And, at a much lower pay rate than Mario. Ragland- We needed to get tougher in the middle IMO, The Bills believe he is a batter athlete than given credit. No problem with trading up. I would rather have a player than draft picks. They believe he is their David Harris. Go for it. Washington- I see the reasoning as he helps with the inside rush against teams like NE. The guy is physically gifted and first team AA from a great program. Jones- The most physically gifted QB in the draft. He completed 62% of his passes, if the 60% standard had not been met I would not be in favor. UPSIDE. Williams- Admittedly knew nothing about him. Sounds like a repeated attempt at Karlos. At this point in the draft i"m good with it. As evidenced last year we need RBs in our system-they get hurt Listenbee- he was on my list as a late round selection and many have likened him to Goodwin. I believe he is more of a receiver than Goodwin ever dreamed of being. Love the speed and the pick. Seymour-another speedy DB, you knew Bills would take one. At this point take the upside. I think i heard one of the analysts say he is a future starter for what its worth. Overall- I gave an A because our team's weakness last year was pass rush and the front 7 toughness. Lawson and Ragland are rough, tough guys who will help in these areas. Throw Washington who was third in QB pressures for interior DL and mission accomplished. Got a much needed QB prospect who has outstanding talent and size. Got a receiver from a passing program with world class speed. A Fred Jackson clone perhaps at RB. And, a future starter in the secondary, at least special teams talent. Downside- Lawson needs shoulder surgery after the season, Ragland comes out on third down, Washington is a situational rusher only, Jones doesn't develop, and the late picks are all washouts...Oh and we traded up to get Ragland. My feeling is that the draft has a very RANDOM element to it. Early in the draft you do the best you can to get BPA and fill needs. We did that. Later in the draft you can't fill needs without alot of luck so you must go for upside. We did that.
  15. Prick sore, I mean Prisco, had us at 4-12 last year in his predictions. There to for this is great news that he hates it!
  16. The draft is always good for knowing who to block.
  17. May have gotten the most physically gifted QB in the draft, and he has a career 62% comp.
