  1. Seriously that is your take. I feel sorry for you. Another great call by you, the PC crowd? Some things are right and some aren't and you sure as hell ain't deciding for me. Hypothetical : I bet if the POTUS had a childbirth coming he would take the day off. Just saying. That is such a dumb example! If you can't see the difference I really feel sorry for you.
  2. I grew up target shooting and have hunted some as well. I own a gun for target shooting still to this day. Is it just me or is it paranoid to carry everywhere you go in public? I mean I thought we were moving forward as a civilization.
  3. So your not in favor of the 8 best teams making it, just give teams that don't deserve it a berth. Got it.
  4. A little controversy to discuss doesn't hurt the interest level of the sport either. Not as cut and dry as the NFL,but the chaos can be very interesting to talk about. The best team ends up winning in the end anyway for the most part.
  5. They don't play balances schedules either. Michigan played both Iowa and Wisconsin, Ohio st and Penn st played only 1 of them.
  6. Personally I would not be averse to going to 8 teams. That way you get the power 5 conference champs and the next 3 best teams. Having said that, it only gets more difficult as the pool gets bigger because resumes start to look alot like.
  7. Huh! So his coach says he's tough as hell. So he's not a big soft kitty as proclaimed by many posters on TSW! Now if we can convince some of the warriors on here that Crohn's is serious, and Migraines aren't just little headaches!
  8. Bills win 24-23. Carpenter hits a 40 yarder on the last play to win it. Turnovers end up being the difference.
  9. It occurred to me that we don't have a STATS section to discuss various subjects, and too shed some light on what it all means. I'll start things off with the topic of where we rank on offense and defense by my method. Using PFR stats I came up with a formula based on yards gained/allowed, tds for/against, turnovers and penalty yards. (tds get 20 yard bonus, Fumbles -40, Intercepts-45).All this is divided by number of plays to get a rate of production. My stats correlate with PPG for and against quite well; at .8 and .7 respectively. In the last 2 columns I have come up with schedule adjustment that seems to work pretty well. Shown are the new; after SOS rankings. The Bills rank 9th on offense and 12th on defense as you can see from the chart. Their SOS has little impact on rankings. What stands out to me: 1. Is Atlanta great on offense or what? Washington is terrific too- ranking #2. 2. Denver is still number 1 on defense. 3. Dallas is good, but not as good as people think based on record. 4. I'm surprised at how good Tennessee is offensively, says a lot about Mariota. 5. Raiders rank 5th on offense and 27th on defense. 6. Cincinnati is better than their record. Remember, this is an objective attempt to help answer questions like: How much does Tyrods' running and turnover avoidance balances out his other shortcomings? Is the Defense top 10? answer NO... but close I hope this is helpful and fun. I do not believe this is the be all end all. For example, the role of special teams is polluting things to a certain extent. But, I did what I could with what I know. Please state your questions and comments! I'm having trouble posting the chart, bear with me.
  10. OObla di OObla da....... Life goes on! I enjoy the process of being a Bills fan. The thought of going 4-1/5-0 and getting in the playoffs when you are counted out is thriling to me. Week to week, it's the process.
  11. It is going to be laughably funny when this team makes the playoffs this year!
  12. Only game that really matters is Washington minus 7 vs Colorado it appears. Looks to be the only question and they're solid favorites.
  13. It is preposterous to state that after the top 2 or 3 everyone is similar.
  14. No Brady or Rodgers and your !@#$ed theory eh?
  15. Yes and you can also make the argument that Oakland and KC with 8-9 wins have been pretty fortunate too. Only Dallas and NE maybe.
  16. Then why do you piss and moan when we win "ugly" or without enough style points. Great post!!!!!
  17. Charley has never had a decent thing to say about Buffalo for some reason. Must be his wife was getting boned by a Bills fan.
  18. Kim Pegula still looking good to all us middle-aged men. It was great to see us win a game it looked like was going to be a loss early on.
  19. It could be they are overrated some: they have a better record than the underlying stats would indicate. PF-PA of 307-275 seem to indicate a team more like 6-5 not 9-2. They are number 5 on offense and 29 on defense. Also, indicates a team that is overachieving. And, a 7-1 record in close game may be unsustainable. Not to mention FOUR games in a row at HOME!! The Raiders are having a good year, that doesn't mean that it has to continue to work out for them.
