Video of Vontae Davis quitting at the half
PolishDave replied to CuddyDark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Translation: Ain't riskin nottin fuh dis joke man. Fuggit. I'm out. -
What kind of crap did you do when you were 15 or 16? Probably a little worse than what he did? No doubt.
-
Aikman was a UCLA QB also. A little biased perhaps.
-
So Peterman ends up getting traded for a bag of hammers then?
-
He won't start for at least another year. They will have to rebuild the offensive line in the meantime somehow.

Wonderlic test scores of 2018 NFL Draft QBs leaked
PolishDave replied to Mopreme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude's got his own version of English. WTF? Sounds like a complete dumbass. Can you imagine the pain of having to watch this guy get interviewed after every game? Good lord man. -
ANY hit with crown of helmet - Automatic 15 yards
PolishDave replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is just "this year's" rule to pave the way for another Patriots Superbowl appearance. Rule will be interpreted in their favor when it matters. -
They could make it voluntary - meaning you can choose to kick off if you want or you can just choose to hand the ball to the other team on the 25. That would eliminate the stupid - kick it out the back of the endzone plays and still allow for onside kicks. Although I am not sure how that would decrease injuries assuming injuries are only occurring when a returner actually runs with the ball.
-
I should have worded it in the other order. They traded to 12 to be able to get the linebacker they want. They get the added bonus of the perception that they traded up to get a QB. - Makes some other team more hesitant to trade ahead of them if that team is also after a linebacker. If a team really suspected the Bills are after a certain linebacker, perhaps they try to trade up just ahead of Buffalo somewhere.
-
Unless the trade up was to fake interest in a different quarterback while intending to take a top linebacker at 12?

Is there a rush to judgement on Peterman?
PolishDave replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps. But fans and coaches will be more patient with a prospect who is drafted with their first pick than they will be with a guy who is drafted in round 5 and has much lower expectations to start with. It is far easier to move on from a guy who you really weren't that confident in to begin with. I suspect Rosen would get at least as many opportunities as EJ got to prove whether or not he has upside potential. -

It's the nature of the NFL. The pressure on coaches to be decisive is immense. They can get away with erroring on the side of caution. They get fired sooner for erroring on the other side. An example of that mentality is when Rex chose to punt late in the Miami game even though he knew it would very likely cost the Bills the season. In Rex's case he got fired anyway - but his mentality was that of trying to save face. -
Another Great Breakdown on the Rookie QB's

Don't care for that show at all. The White guy isn't very good at football. Why not summarize it for us? -

Give up and do what? They had 2 other quarterbacks on the team - Webb and Peterman. They tried the second best guy for a game. He embarrassed himself, the coaches and the Buffalo Bills organization with record setting bad play. So, HOW do you suggest they would have given up in a better way? Play (throw it to the other team)Peterman at QB the rest of the year and shoot for record number of interceptions in a season ever? -
The first part was a joke due to your poor English. Don't get so mad bro. You're saying that. I never said it. That's homo talk. The staffs are mostly dudes. Get your mind out of the gutter. You think these managers just want to drop their pants and throw ass glances at the rest of their staff? Weird man. Just weird. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just because a rookie has never won a Superbowl doesn't mean there won't be a first time and it doesn't mean you give up trying and go into the season with the assumption that you can't win it all. How incredibly lame. If winning isn't the goal and winning a Superbowl every year isn't the goal, why even play the game. Why even watch the games? I get it. As a Bills fan you are used to losing and have been beaten to submission over the years where you just want to throw the towel in earlier and earlier every year. This year for you, you're throwing in the towel even before the draft. Yikes. The Bills were good before and can be again. There is no reason why they can't be this year. Beane, McDermott and his entire coaching staff know this. The existing players on the team know this. And I bet, as of right now, they intend to win every single game this year - one at a time. If Beane or McDermott possessed the attitude you are assuming they do, I doubt they ever would have risen as high as they already have in their careers. They would have been weeded out of the NFL by now. I feel sorry for your defeatist outlook this early in the year. Pet a dog today. It's national puppy day. You'll feel better.

In-Depth Breakdown of Lamar Jackson by Eliot Crist
PolishDave replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am guessing he will have an awful lot of input that will carry very little weight. Just my opinion. McDermott is going to decided because his future is on the line and he is the boss. "Head process guy". -
Who are you agreeing with? You were the first person to post. Do you have split personalities? Are you agreeing with yourself? If their goal for the upcoming season isn't to win the Superbowl, then fire them now and hire someone who is going to try to win the Superbowl. I don't buy into the mindset of "waiting till your team is better" to try to win a Superbowl. Total nonsense and total B.S. You play to win every game regardless of what players you have on the team. The mindset you are portraying here is that of a person who thinks losing is acceptable. It's only acceptable when you have exhausted every resource and left every ounce of effort on the field. If that wasn't good enough, so be it. It certainly is not acceptable heading into a season before you have even played a game. Finding a QB this year isn't good enough. Not finding a QB is unacceptable and will get them fired in a couple years.

I honestly don't know who the Bills will take. Given a situation where it could only be either Allen or Rosen I would assume they would choose Rosen. In reality, I suspect they are going after either Rosen, Darnold or Mayfield and trying to get high enough to do so. But I am not anywhere close to certain on that. Really could be anybody. I have talked myself into potential scenarios that have them taking a QB with their second pick or later. If they draft any QB with their first overall pick, then I am going to assume it is a QB that they honestly think is going to be great - and one that they are willing to bet their careers in Buffalo on. - Because that is probably what they will be doing unless AJ McCarron ends up being the next Kirk Cousins. So, if they draft a QB with that first pick, I will support them fully - regardless of who it is - well, unless it is Jackson or somebody I think they could have drafted in the second round. If they draft Allen with their first pick, then so be it. I will assume they are confident in his future greatness. I like our head coach and GM. I hope like hell they get the QB pick right so that they can stay here for the next 15 years or more and lead the Bills to being the most dominant NFL team for the next decade plus.
-
Josh Allen could end up being the best QB out of this draft. It might take a few years of seasoning for him to get there, but the potential is there. I have no problem with the Bills taking this guy if they believe he will be the best. All we can really do is trust McDermott and Beane to make the right decision about whomever they draft or pass on at whatever spot they are able to draft from. They need to get it right. Behind a decent offensive line - Allen could end up being a superstar.

I am interested in your thoughts about why you think a moonshot in Bitcoin is coming later this year? I think the only moonshot opportunity for Bitcoin is runaway inflation in a major country. And I think if that happens, it won't be in 2018. What catalyst are you waiting for that you think is going to cause it to moonshot? Personally, I think the likelihood is higher that the US government crushes the price of Bitcoin sometime in the next year through new legislation deterring the use of it as an investment and/or store of value. I suspect that might represent the new "low" in price before any moonshot occurs. And if that happens, then perhaps the moonshot in Bitcoin never occurs and the moonshot ends up occurring in the more untraceable cryptos like Monero - if and when inflation gets way out of control.
