I don't even want playoffs anymore...

The Penalty (Bad Call in Chiefs Game)
BarleyNY replied to Numark3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Two terrible calls - one for and one against. At least the last one didn’t cost us the game. -
Cleveland has even said that now is the time to cash in on their draft capital, so yes, they’re taking a QB at 1. Almost certainly that’ll be Rosen. Darnold will be in the conversation but Rosen is showing more. And that is where my agreement with you ends. I’d be fine with Mayfield if he was taller but he’s not close to tall enough for the NFL. That makes his odds of success very long.

I agree - and that’s on the Pegulas. It’s such a horrific mistake to hire coaches that revamp the general style of play of a team - especially when you have something that is working well. Case in point is the Bills top 5 defense under Schwartz. 4-3 one gap attacking defense with a cover 2 that turned over to a 3-4 two gap read and react cover zero and now going back to a 4-3 one gap but with a cover 3. So many wasted picks that didn’t fit the current scheme. The same happened with the offense and their blocking schemes. Owners need to pick an overall vision that works and stick with it.

The info I’ve seen is that Peterman clocked a 53. 55 is considered the preferred minimum. Fun fact: Tyrod clocked a 50.

Nfl.com: Potential landing spots for Tyrod Taylor

Totally agree on Denver. I’d take Cleveland out of the mix of backup teams though. -
LMAO! Nicely done.

Technically he was correcting your grammar, not your spelling.

We were 5-2 and coming off a decisive win against the Raiders at the trade deadline. You really think we should’ve traded Tyrod at that point? This is seriously what you’re thinking?

Football. No way does McD make this move otherwise. He saw that Taylor still wasn’t getting the ball out like he needs to and I’m sure he got a feel for how the move would be perceived in the locker room. I’m sure the other players know where they stand with Taylor on the field and that’s they’re either neutral or positive about the change. At minimum Peterman will execute the offense in the fashion it needs to be. Even if he’s not at the level you’d want (and he could be) you’re at least helping the other offensive players learn the system.

Probably looking at 9-7 or 8-8 and narrowly missing the playoffs. We’re better than the Phins (x2) and Colts - and we’re better than a River-less Chargers team -but not KC or the Cheats (x2) though. The cupboard is not bare, but there is plenty of work to be done to challenge for a title.

What sound do you hate the most?

Children whining. Specifically my children whining. -
Honestly, it looks like a combination to me. The OL isn’t doing TT any favors and he’s not doing them any either. I knew it wasn’t a good situation, but I didn’t realize it was this bad.

Bob Costas says CTE will destroy the NFL

The horrific announcing is going to shoulder some of the blame. -
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol There is some interesting stats here. Football Outsiders has Buffalo ranked 24th in run blocking and 31st in pass pro. They note that while they try to eliminate their impact for these rankings, the abilities of the RB and QB do have some effect on them. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol There is some interesting stats here. Youre right. Thanks for the correction. Forgot about that. -
Hometown players, should it effect drafting?
BarleyNY replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it might help retain a player or that player has a good support network in his hometown, then it’s definitely a positive. If a player has a lot of the wrong kind of friends - ones into illegal stuff or leeches - in his hometown, then it’s a big negative. -
Tyrod rated #3 QB in league when under pressure
BarleyNY replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the problem. Taylor has an excellent rating when under pressure when he gets the ball out. The problem is that he’s tied for second in the league for most sacks taken. While the line could be better and improvement there would help I still don’t see Taylor getting the ball out when he hits his drop. If he can learn to do that he’ll be dangerous. If not, then he’s always going to face a lot of pressure. -

What is your favorite Buffalo Bills memory?
BarleyNY replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really enjoyed watching he Jim Kelly Era Bills teams. It was before I moved to Buffalo and started rooting for the Bills, but it was so much fun to watch them. While watching the comeback over the Oilers in a Cleveland Flats bar my uncle got into an argument about Moon with a guy there. My uncle kept calling him the biggest choke artist in the game and the other guy kept circling back to it being a racial thing. He was black and my uncle white). That escalated during the first half and at halftime my uncle bet the guy $20 that Moon would choke the game away and that Houston would lose. That guy kept getting more and more angry as the game slipped away. He stormed out right after the Bills took the lead. I almost felt bad for him. Luckily the bartender kept the bet money for us. He was laughing his ass off. After those it’d have to be Rex getting canned. -
Assumed this was a thread about Darius Rucker getting hit by a car. It was bound to happen based on how long he’s been in the middle of the road.

Yup. TT is one of the 32 best NFL QBs on the planet, but he’s not good enough to help a team win a championship. Sure, keep him next season while you get his replacement up to speed, but an upgrade needs found.
