  1. Week 3: Dolphins 21 Buffalo 19 Week 15: Buffalo 32 Dolphins 29 Two games decided by a total of 5 points. Sorry but this game is not a sure thing. If Tua is healthy and can play, this game is a coin flip. It will be another 1 score game decided in the last minute and half just like the other two. I really hope I am wrong, I would love nothing more than to watch the Bills kick the ***** out of the Dolphins.
  2. Was it not the defense that gave up the ghost against KC last year? How quickly every one forgets I guess. I'm with you, I do not trust the defense overall. They really need to generate turnovers in the post season or every game is going to be a shootout.
  3. Lost to them once, beat them once. Both extremely close games. After watching our defense the later half of the year, I'd say this game is a coin flip if Tua plays. That's depressing.
  4. Maybe the NFL should just adopt the NCAA polling system. Let the computers and the coaches seed the entire playoffs. That'll really get everyone riled up.
  5. My main frustration with the offense has been what it has always been. We do not utilize 2 tight end sets enough. We have Knox and paid him big money, we have Morris who has looked like, if given a chance, he could be a contributor to this offense as well. My opinion is, this personel package gives you a lot of run/pass flexibility. Keep both inline, you either have a numbers advantage in the run game or you can play action pass from it, even get max protect to give Diggs a chance downfield if you need to generate a big play. It also sets up going fast, say after a 3rd and short conversion and gives you an advantage by not allowing a defense to substitute. Split Morris and Knox out in these situations and now you're 4 wide in shotgun with Singletary/Cook on the field which bodes well with the defense in it's short yardage package. It's odd to me, even under Daboll, we spent a whole lot of time trying to generate rushing yardage with different formations, packages, trick plays, etc. The passing game however, the only real creativity is Josh being Josh. Watching Reid continue to scheme in the passing game even with a guy like Mahommes makes me wonder why between Shula, Joe Brady and Dorsey, they can't come up with a couple unique plays to give the passing game a boost when it falters like it did in the beginning of the 3rd quarter.
  6. This reads like the Rick James skit from Chappelle Show. "What kind of person would stomp their feet into somebody's couch? Yea, I remember stomping my feet into Eddie's couch"
  7. We looked average. Josh is the catalyst. He hides a lot of shortcomings we have along the offensive line and makes up for a ton of bad defense. Sometimes I feel like the only time we get aggressive on defense is if McDermott is stepping in. Otherwise we just stay in Cover 2 and Fraizer just stands there, scowling. Elam looked great. Aside from Tre whiffing on Tyreek, we held one of the more potent pass offenses to very little effectiveness. If we could've caught some of those passes glancing off defender's hands, it would have been a classic Turn-Da-Ball-Ovah game. The combo of Tre and Elam bodes well for us heading into the postseason and it will only improve week after week. Overall, it was a great win. See you next year, McDaniels.
  8. His tackling was an issue in college but the more he played the more I saw his nose in there. Elam is a smart kid, I've watched him since he started for the Gators. They were a horribly coached defense and he was our stand out secondary player. I saw improvement from him every game this year. I'm not going to lie, I was shocked the first time I saw him make a tackle in the run game this year. You would've never seen that at Florida. I think McDermott has been selling him short. It's cute to put Benford in there when you are facing a run heavy team and he may end up being a great nickel corner but on the outside is where Elam thrived in college and we are facing one of the best receiving duos in the league, as pained as I am to admit it. We also still have face the Bengals and Burrow and most likely the Cheifs again in the playoffs. Would've been nice to have spent this time getting your first round corner up to speed, all I'm saying.
  9. I'm not sure what bug is up McDermott's ass but put Elam on the field. His boy Dane gets beat like a drum, we need to see Poyer and Tre bracketing Tyreek and Elam on Waddle. Let his natural talent and athleticism create a big play. I'd rather have the boom or bust guy who can cover 1 on 1 out there over the scheme fit guy who is consistently mediocre. He should've started all year because at this point, he'd be a part of the defense, he'd know the calls, he'd have the on field experience with Poyer and Milano and Edmunds. Could've had Tre back and the possibility of two shutdown corners. Instead McDermott has flip flopped all year and it hasn't worked. Teams continue to attack that side.
  10. Could you imagine this forum if we actually went with no heaters and then the Phins won anyways... How about the Bills just don't play like ass and win this game?
  11. Carson Palmer Discusses Josh Allen's UCL Injury Palmer's description of his experience with the injury seems to fit what Josh is experiencing since it happened. Josh's off angle and off platform throws have been much less effective since hurting the UCL and has played a major role in our reduced offensive output.
  12. Blue jerseys with red pants you cowards!
  13. This isn't how this D is supposed to function, that's why they drafted undersized, freakishly athletic Ed Oliver. The size up on the D Line was to make up for what Edmunds lacks. Aside from everyone's opinions, I think it's telling that he didn't get an extension in the offseason. Like Phillips and Lawson, he will be allowed to test the market. And none of those positions you rattled off at the end are system anything. Tre is a top 5 corner when healthy, Poyer is the best free safety in the league and Beane paid a 100 million to get Von Miller... Edmunds isn't in that camp, I don't care how many fan votes he gets.
  14. It's not just on offense. We brought back Phillips and Lawson also, basically going back and undoing a bunch of questionable roster moves after 2020.
  15. He's got gas I'm sure, just not the kind we're looking for.
  16. Complaining about targets and dropping them in key moments. Is he going to have a Stevie Johnson, why does God hate me moment soon? Sounds like it.
  17. Whichever indoor football team he's on currently would want too much in return.
  18. Elam has the potential to be a top 10 corner in the league. His question mark was his tackling, not his coverage ability, as evidenced by the fact that his stats a very similar to Dane Jackson's even though he has played considerably LESS. I'm not sure what's going on but McDermott is talking out of his ass by claiming he's trying to put the best players on the field. We've all watched Jackson get beat like a drum most of the season. On basically any other team, Elam starts, no question about it.
  19. My take is that if he continues to play at this level, the 9ers will have a bounty of draft picks after trading Jimmy G and Trey Lance in the offseason.
  20. But you learn with play time. And Cook can easily be in a 2 back set. In fact, in my opinion, 2 back sets would fix this offense to some extent, give it some variety without making substitutions and get two of your better players (Motor/Cook) on the field at the same time. Romo to me kind of gave Dorsey the kiss of death in that Jets game. Pointing out that Diggs is coming out of the game when we're going to run... does that mean Shakir is going in because they trust him to block but not catch? It's very confusing and honestly, the funk this team has been in falls directly on the coaching staff's shoulders.
  21. This coaching staff struggles to identify talent and trust talent. Sitting Elam is the stupidest thing this staff has done so far this year. He was literally improving every game, so let's stunt that... yea, brilliant plan. Definitely didn't want to have the possibility of two shut down corners going into games against the Chiefs, Bengals... Shakir and Hodgins were lights out in the preseason, both could play inside and Hodgins would've been especially interesting in the slot considering his size. He moves on and contributes to his new team. We keep Sakir on the shelf because... reasons? Cook is an excellent receiver also and Dorsey/McDermott have made zero attempt to come up with ways to incorporate him into the passing game. Even worse they TRADE for Hines, who's really only replaced McKenzie as a returner and that's it. Definitely starting to wonder if this is why the Panthers never got over the hump. So close but they can't seem to fully refine this team.
  22. To me, out of shape conjours images of Kelvin Benjamin. An injury is different. That's all.
  23. Has nothing to do with kind of shape he's in, he blew up his knee in February. It took Tre a full calendar year to come back, OBJ was not going to be ready to play this year.
