I think the comparison has some merit but we might want to wait until Peterman actually wins a game to make this point.

We have seen repeatedly that the line can not hold up for more than one second much less 3, josh allen has the greatest arm i have seen in a long time but he is not going to get a chance with our line.

I am not sure what you mean by a bomb but i assure you every pro qb can throw a ball 60+ yards. He will not get it there as quick as allen but he can reach the guy. As for the line i doubt there ability to get the qb enough time consistently to throw deep.

That dareus is the outlier in that comparison is an indictment of his work ethic.

I hope they plan to spell shady with both theae guys pretty evenly- ivory and murphy both getting 8-10 carries each per game. That number will adjust if one is substantially better at blocking or receiving.

People here who are bashing this move have very short memories- brees sucked his second year and then became a hall of famer. Eli was awful for several years before getting good. Half of the best qbs did not set the world fire right away and several who did became terible ( RGIii)

I think schmidts issue is we got use to pur punter being our MVP and he was not our MVP by any standard- he failed in that he was not our best player.?

I might have missed something- preseason doesnot excite me- but did we keep an undrafted wr who caught one ball all preseason? I have not seen fosters name me tioned as cut.

you might be right but he might have already decided that JA is sitting until a set date and does not want any controversy in the locker room. I think it had more to do with not wanting to extend his time on field with our line getting him killed. agreed and it appears in the few preseason games I have watched since the super bowl they are trying to defer to call on field unless horrible call. it was close so I doubt they overturn.

8-8 we are similar to last year and I think our QB/off coordinator are more in sync then last year.

If he somehow became a hall of famer it likely would become nothing more than a footnote ala favre throwing a pick 6 his first throw. But maybe it follows him like "wrong way" marshall. I agree many have not been improved as far as talent but dareus was lazy as all get out. He could dominate when he chose but he chose not to care more often. But i thought beane brought in our secondary? Maybe my timeline is messed up but he brought in safeties and i also think taylor was maxed out- he would turn us into first round playoff losers. I would be shocked if we were the worst team in league this year but this dude clearly watched one preseason game and made a large statement based on it. We looked like horse crap and he saw it and ran with it.

I am glad my job does not rely on analyzing a preseason game where i am not sure what is being expected of the line or qb or recievers. Ohara might suck but he is being told to make an opinion based on nothing. Espn has turned into this and it is why i have not watched anything on espn or foxsports except live sports in at least a year.

The hatred on here for peterman is sad and shows a complete ignorance of understanding of the development of some qbs. NP is not likely to set the football world on fire but i doubt any qb would have done well behind that line and even more importantly it was one game- many qbs have had horrible games and bounced back. If he comes out and is awful again i will want him benched but this hatred based on one horrible game where his line was pathetic is out of line.

I was actually impressed(no sarcasm) with the way they got into the defense when we ran it. I though did not miss how incompetent they all seemed when it was a passing down. I know the process is different but I am shocked at how one version they are good and the other they are abysmal. If it was reversed I would have hope because JA could start and get the defense to give some space.
