  1. But he needs eyes in the back of his head to know that a) the ball has been thrown and b) that its underthrown. If he turns too soon he risks losing the reciever. I never played the game, not sure what the proper technique is.. maybe watch his eyes to anticipate the ball arriving?
  2. I never understood why that makes a difference... I mean, if you make egregious physical contact with the receiver prior to the ball arriving, that's a penalty... regardless of where your head us facing. That call on Taron Johnson against Denver.... the ball was underthrown, Johnson was turning a round when he ran into the reciever, i don't understand what Johnson is supposed to do there... if he turns around sooner he allows the receiver to separate. Get guys one-on-one run a go route and then underthrow by 5 yards... PI every time.
  3. It would have to be a timing play, the ball is thrown at the exact moment the WR starts his sprint... he'd have at least a step.. mostly likely 2 or 3 on tthe DB.
  4. This was his first week without the brace as planned, he mentioned this weeks ago. He'll continue to get better I have no doubt.
  5. Josh can throw a 50y frozen rope better than any QB in the league.
  6. Eventually some OC will figure it out and it will change the game like the "tush push". You can imagine it will involve some type of mis-direction, like OP mentioned... load up one side of the end-zone and have 1 or 2 WR sprint to the other side as the ball is being thrown..... maybe go with 2 QBs on the field, 1 split out wide for a lateral to alter the throwing angle. Or intentionally throw it short of the end-zone to draw a PI as receivers are fighting through DBs to get back to the ball. I still don't understand why more QBs don't intentionally throw go routes short to draw PI. It's impossible for the DB, with his back turned, to stop on a dime and avoid contact while running full speed downfield.... like the Taron Johnson PI against Denver. IMO there needs to be a rule protecting the DB where it's not PI if the ball is thrown short and his momentum carries him into the WR.
  7. Can't be cut during a bye week per the CBA.
  8. Sorry.... without Milano and White, and with aging safties who lose a half-step in the 4th quarter... they're not good enough.... and that's the cold hard truth. They'll be in games simply because of Josh, but that won't be enough to overcome their inability to get stops late in games.
  9. Are those rankings based on penalty rates or counts? The Bills run a lot of plays per game, near top of the league iirc. Opponents are usually playing catch-up so lots of passing plays against = more calls.
  10. Looking at the bigger picture it would actually be in their best interest to miss the playoffs. Hear me out 😂 They're a flawed team, missing all-pros at several key positions. As a result, they're not SB contenders this year and that's OK. Missing the post-season would have several positive impacts on the franchise moving forward.... Full evaluation top down of the entire coaching staff. Maybe they can McD and bring in a better gameday tactician. Better draft picks to fill holes (WR2/S/CB). Missing the playoffs would provide increased focus and motivation going in to the 2025 season.... mad Josh > aloof Josh. Players, across the board, will be ultra motivated during offseason prep. ...that said, If they do sneak in and win a game or two they'll feel like they salvaged the season and accomplished something. I'd rather have them pissed off and on a mission (w a healthier younger defense) going in to the 2025 season, instead of feeling they can just waltz through the regular season and still get it.
  11. Aging safeties losing half step in the latter stages of games. That's all it takes.
  12. Sure, it's nice that he's back, but he shouldn't have ever left.... where did he go? IMO it's too late in the season for this... the time to show up was week 1. Sure, maybe they have a strong finish, but if and that's a big IF, they make the playoffs, they'll have to go on the road and then all we'll hear in the off-season is that they need to get home field advantage.... blah blah blah... it's tiresome. I'm happy he's "back", but all is not forgiven.
  13. Jordan Phillips grabs Mayfield's facemask on a 4th down sack T. Johnson gets flagged on another 4th down A desperation pass to M. Evans bounces off Benford's helmet directly into his arms A batted ball on a 2pt conversion is deflected directly to a Tampa player Now consider there are infinite parallel universes (there are)... it at least one of those universes all of the above happens in the final 5 minutes of the game, yet the Bills still find a way to win, that's the universe we live in. If just one of those things doesn't happen, the Bills win comfortably and nobody is questioning McD. Let's give the guy a break.
  14. The grass field at Tottenham Hotspur is designed specifically for soccer. The type of grass, tensile strength, moisture level, base layer, sub-layer, core, etc.. would not hold up to the rigors of an NFL game, ultimately resulting in hazardous conditions.
  15. 6 The Dolfish are frauds and will be exposed like Washington last week. They beat the Chargers by 2 and Pats by 7. The teams they beat have a combined 2 wins on the season. This game won't even be close. 47-6 Bills
  16. So if Wash scored 35 against the Broncos and 3 against the Bills, and Miami scored 70 aganst the Broncos. Then Miami should score 6 points against Buffalo.
  17. Bills 24 Raiders 20
  18. She deserves to be fired for this. Unprofessional and churlish.
  19. 3 targets, 1 drop and 1 catch for 7 yards
  20. They don't target rookies in this offense, doesn't matter how high they were dradted.... see Cook last year, JA didn't beat out Peterman in camp his rookie year either. I say he plays maybe 15% of snaps, 3 targets, 1 catch for 7 yards.
  21. This game is gonna be decided by special teams.
